Christopher B. Karr

Christopher Brent Karr, 30, of Yale died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at his home.
He was a member of Yale Church and a graduate of Oark School. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Dotson and Hoyt Karr.
Survivors include his parents, Doyle Allen and Norma Carol Dotson Karr of Yale; grandparents, Jewell Dotson of Springdale and Effie Karr Clark of Clarksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles Allen and Linda Sue Karr of Yale; one niece, Alishia Lielia Karr of Yale; and one nephew, Charles Devin Karr of Yale.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the Yale Church with Rev. Bill Gregory officiating.
Burial was in the Yale cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were James Stepp, Jay Adams, Derrick Harderson, Brian Karr, Lance Wilburn, and Gary Karr.
Honorary pallbearers were Olen Yarbrough, Carl Easley, Dwight Stepp, Stephen Tyler, Tony Jones, Greg Stepp, and Tommy Warren.

Carl (Butch) Terherst

Carl Junior (Butch) Terherst, 56, of Green Forest died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, in Berryville.
He was a former resident of Coal Hill, son of the late Kathryn Beasley Terherst, native of Blue Eye, Mo., Tyson Foods lead employee, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Billy Gene Terherst; one sister, Loretta Terherst; and grandparents, Pete and Exie Beasley and Will and Tulie Terherst.
Survivors include his widow, Shirley Flippo Terherst; one son, Wayne of Green Forest; father, Carl Terherst of Coal Hill; two brothers, Jackie Terherst of Whorton, W. Va., and Gary Terherst of Coal Hill; eight sisters, Lena Roe of Omaha, Lynda Kite of Vine Grove, Ky., Lana Chronister, Mary Morgan, Julie Yates, and Beckie Stewart, all of Coal Hill, Janie Brice of Knoxville, and Teresa Grebb of Branch; one granddaughter, Nicole Terherst of Green Forest; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Nelson Chapel in Green Forest with Rev. Kenny Asbury and Eddie Reed officiating. Burial was in Farewell cemetery.

Emma Gene Hunt

Emma Gene Hunt, 66, of Jenny Lind died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at her home.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, widow of Julian John Hunt, member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Greenwood, and retired employee of Pink Bud Nursing Home in Greenwood. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Steven Hunt.
Survivors include three sons, Rocky of Ozark, Ricky of Lamar and Robert of Clarksville; one sister, Eloise Farvelle of San Pablo, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Alex, Levon, Theron, Sydney and Reanee.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Greenwood. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were Glenn Nave, Allen Holmes, Kelly Blazor, Joseph Nave, Elmer Canada and Rick Cusick.

Eugene Teggatz

Eugene Teggatz, 77, of New Ulm, Minn., died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm, Minn.
He was a native of Reynolds, N. D., son of the late George and Brita Nash Teggatz, former resident of Grand Forks, N. D., Mentor, Minn., and also spent the winters of 1979 through 1988 in Clarksville. He was a former employee of the American Crystal Sugar Company in Crookston, Minn., and the Detroiter Mobile Home in Red Lake Falls, Minn. He was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Michael; one brother, Carl; and one son-in-law, Bobby Don Bean.
Survivors include his widow, Josephine Schindler Teggatz; six children, Beverly Bean and Carolyn Meyer, both of New Ulm, Minn., John of Milwaukee, Wis., Nancy Taylor of Maple Plain, Minn., Elaine Hudok of Anoka, Minn., and Earl of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Louis of Temple City, Calif., and Raymond of McMinnville, Ore.; five sisters, Margaret Carl of Tacoma, Wash., Lyda Grendahl of Hillsboro, Wis., Dorothy Burr of Garden Grove, Calif., Lily Schmaltz of Hillsboro, N. D., and Bernice Hangsleben of East Grand Forks, Minn.; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial was at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mentor, Minn., with Father David Super officiating. Burial was in St. Lawrence Catholic cemetery at Mentor, Minn., under the direction of Johnson Funeral Service of Red Lake Falls, Minn.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Robert Bean, Mark Teggatz, Russell Taylor, Michael Hudok, Benjamin Meyer and Tyler Teggatz.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Helen Lee Wallace

Helen Lee Wallace, 88, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late John T. and Dovie Jane Bailey Moore, widow of Walter Eugene Wallace, and a Baptist.
Survivors include one sister, Ruth Bailey of Clarksville; one nephew and spouse, James W. and Sharon Bailey of Clarksville; three great-nieces, Angela Vaught and Melodye Stickley, both of Clarksville, and Tammy Pearson of Chesterfield, Va.; and a number of great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Herb Vaught, Cody Vaught, Russell Stickley, and Nick Helms.

Henry Boone Willis

Henry Boone Willis, 68, of Vacaville, Calif., died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at a Vacaville hospital.
A native of Clarksville, he was a former resident of El Sobrante, Calif., and San Pablo, Calif., member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vacaville, Calif., St. Callistus Catholic Church in El Sobrante, Calif., and Butchers Union Local 120, and retired from Safeway Food Stores Distribution Warehouse in 1989 after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his widow, Josephine R. Willis; one daughter, Elizabeth Earnest of Florida; one son, Henry Willis of Florida; mother, Alma Willis of Clarksville; one brother, Billy Willis of Clarksville; and four grandchildren.
Rosary was at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary in San Pablo, Calif. Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at St. Joseph cemetery in San Pablo, Calif.

Jeffrey Neil Jacobs

Jeffrey Neil Jacobs, 40, of Louisville, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001.
He was a son of the late Raymond Jacobs of Hartman and Benton, graduate of the University of Arkansas, former resident of Benton, owner of Jeffrey N. Jacobs Racing Stable and Bloodstock Agency and leading thoroughbred trainer in the midwest.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Anne Jacobs of Benton; one brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Tammy Jacobs of Alexander; and one sister and brother-in-law, Krista and David Hopkins of Benton.
He was the uncle of Jordan Jacobs, Jaret Jacobs and Griffin Hopkins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oscar Golden, Rev. Carl Wright, and Rev. Scott Patton officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Pallbearers were Larry Edwards, Lynn Whiting, Al Johnson, Perry Sutherland, Lance Landers, Greg Spurlock, Mel Cranston, Steve Hobby, Nick Warford, John Lovell, Kevin Dunlavy, and Terry Dunlavy.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Benton and/or the American Diabetes Association.

Keith B. Fisher

Keith B. Fisher, 80, of Tulsa, Okla., brother of Robert Fisher of Clarksville, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, in Tulsa, Okla.
A native of McAlester, Okla., he was a son of the late Ward and Yvonne Fisher, veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Air Corps as a bomber pilot, a retired employee of McDonnell-Douglas after 28 years of service, and a master gardener.
Survivors include his widow, Pearl Fisher; four daughters, Darlene Heilein of Tulsa, Okla., Tommie Rutledge of Gresham, Ore., Yvonne Fisher Glick of Tulsa, Okla., and Carol Carter of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Keith B. Fisher of Las Vegas, Nev., and David Conly of Tulsa, Okla.; one other brother, Rev. Dick Fisher of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Betty Roe of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel in Tulsa, Okla., with interment at Memorial Park cemetery.
