Roger Dale Smith Sr.

Roger Dale Smith Sr., 37, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, in Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Clarksville, owner and operator of Smith Towing and Recovery, and a member of the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sissy Smith; one daughter, Trinity Smith of Clarksville; one son, Roger Dale Smith Jr. of Clarksville; father, Earnest (Buck) Smith of Clarksville; mother, Arlene Vanover of Clarksville; grandparents, Oma Jaggers of Clarksville and Ishmal and Maggie Smith of Lamar; two sisters, Leah Bridgewater of Clarksville and Marsha Smith of Conway; one brother, Michael Smith of Clarksville; one half-sister, Elizabeth Smith of Knoxville; three half-brothers, Joshua Smith and Jamie Smith, both of Knoxville, and Phil Vanover of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald Eugene Williams

Ronald Eugene (Kali) Williams, 32, of Clarksville died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 164 north of Hunt.
He was a native of El Centro, Calif., and a former resident of Ozark.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sylvia and Dr. Allen H. Walker of Ozark; father, Kenneth Williams of Imperial, Calif.; three sisters, Charity Powers of Clarksville and Janet Williams and Jennifer Williams, both of Imperial, Calif.; and three brothers, Paul Wesley Powers II, Kenneth Williams and Kevin Williams, all of California.
The body was cremated. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Delmar Keith

Delmar Keith, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at his home.
He was a native of Hagarville, Army veteran of World War II, and an auto repair employee.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Joanne Keith; two sons, Freddie Keith of Texarkana and Timothy Keith Sr. of Clarksville; two daughters, Tina Lee and Dede Doss, both of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Alvin Keith of Clarksville; one sister, Lillian Sparks of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Eylau Christian Church with Carl Teel officiating.
Burial was in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home of Texarkana, Texas.

George Dewey Bowen

Graveside services and burial for George Dewey Bowen, 80, of Searcy, who died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at Beverly Health Care Center in Searcy, were at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt with. Rev. George Willis officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He was a native of Johnson County and son of the late Myron and Mary Ellen Wilson Bowen.
Survivors include three sisters, Jewell Lacey of Las Vegas, Nev., Rose Thompson of Reedley, Calif., and Odell Lawson of Burns, Ore.; and five brothers, John W. Bowen of Vilonia, Myron Bowen of Klamath Falls, Ore., Jay R. Bowen of Fayetteville, Charles Edwin Bowen of Wichita, Kan., and James Hoyt Bowen of Ozark.

Mrs. Hazel M. Bean

Mrs. Hazel Marie Bean, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Robert Harley and Bertha Beatrice Self King and a member of the Stillwell Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Quentin Bean; two daughters, Evelyn Marie Andersen of Clarksville and Phyllis Kaye Atkins of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Patsy Latson of Little Rock, and Bertha Smith, Virginia Andersen and Mary Wood, all of Clarksville; one brother, Robert Garland King of Clarksville; six grandchildren, Brian Atkins and Joel Atkins, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michelle Moore of Seattle, Wash., Melanie Uscocovich of Ecuador, Adam Moore of San Diego, Calif., and Josh Moore of Clarksville; and one great-grandchild, Santiago Uscocovich of Ecuador.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman and Rev. Steve Askins officiating.
Burial was in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Adam Moore, Josh Moore, Joel Atkins, Brian Atkins, David Lasater, and Mike Buckner.

Mrs. Lois E. Summers

Mrs. Lois Elizabeth Summers, 89, of Clarksville died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Dora Smith Wilson, widow of Earnest Summers, retired postmaster, and charter member of Oakland Street Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and William Fales of Clarksville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Todd Fales, Gary Fales, Paul Hubbard, Donny Hubbard, Anthony Hubbard, and David Ashmore.

Mrs. Mary Graves

Mrs. Mary (Glynn) Graves, 84, of Tulsa, Okla., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine Horn Overbey, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Graves; one daughter, Mary Jo Bridges, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, all of Tulsa, Okla.; and two sisters, Maude Looper and Edna Wheeler, both of Arkansas.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Moore's Eastlawn Chapel in Tulsa, Okla.

Mrs. Ruth L. Adams

Mrs. Ruth L. Adams, 82, of Manhattan, Kan., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, in the Wharton Manor Nursing Home in Manhattan, Kan.
A native of Rosetta, she was a daughter of the late Brady H. and Cordelia Hignite Mooney, former resident of the Salus and Ozone areas, where she attended school, and Houston, Texas, where she resided for a short time prior to moving to Manhattan, Kan., in 1947. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Pearce-Keller American Post No. 17 Auxiliary, both of Manhattan, Kan., a Union Bus Depot employee in Manhattan, Kan., from 1961-74 and later at Kansas State University until she retired in 1978.
Survivors include one brother, James Harvey Mooney of Clarksville; one sister, Edith Carpenter of Ozark; two nephews, Leonard W. Carpenter and Lawrence H. Mooney; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; and one great-great-nephew.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. R. C. McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise cemetery in Manhattan, Kan., under the direction of Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the National Osteoporosis Foundation, % Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home, 1317 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502.

Raymond Clark

Raymond Clark of Tulsa, Okla., died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999.
He was a former resident of the Spadra Community where he was reared by his adopted parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis Clark. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Louise Edward Clark, one son, Steven Montel, and one brother, Everett Gash.
Survivors are one grandson, Steven of Bandon, Ore.; two sisters, Opal Gash of Clarksville and Mrs. Leroy Turner of Owasso, Okla.; two nieces, Wilma Richardson of Clarksville and Bonnie Brooks of Corpus Christi, Texas; and one nephew, Bobby John Turner of San Jose, Calif.
Funeral was at Moores South Lawn Chapel with burial at Memorial Park cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.
