Josh Climer

Josh Climer, 27, of the Flat Rock Community died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville, welder, and preceded in death by cousins, Nathaniel Climer and Jasper Lee Kelley; brother, William Levi Pitts; and grandparents, Margaret Hardgrave, Betty Lou Reynolds and Charles Alexander Climer.
Survivors include his wife, Jamey Climer; two sons, Dylan Climer and Isiach Climer, both of Clarksville; father and stepmother, Charles and Becky Climer of Russellville; mother, Rhonda Climer of Lamar; grandfather, Leonard Hardgrave of the Flat Rock Community; and three sisters, Kimberly Hogue of Lamar, Tera Dawn Womack of West Virginia, and Christina Williams of Tennessee.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at the Price cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Birge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Gray, Jeramey Climer, Jarrod Parker, Jason Dale, Gary Climer and James L. Hogue.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Kenneth Angle

Oscar Kenneth (Ken) Angle, 71, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was a native of King City, Mo., completed high school and college in Missouri, was employed with Missouri-Pacific Railroad (later Union Pacific) for 40 years, beginning as a clerk-stenographer in Pine Bluff, later working in Cleveland, Ohio, Washington, D. C., Omaha, Neb., and after several promotions retiring as traffic department manager in St. Louis, Mo. He was a veteran of the Korean War, served in the U. S. Army at Fort Chaffee with the Fifth Armored Division and was honorably discharged as a corporal.
He was a member of MoPac (Missouri Pacific), UP (Union Pacific) Retired Men's Club, volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital Radiation Therapy Unit, Bowling for Veterans Links, CORP (County Older Residents Program) and was a St. Louis County Election Judge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Pearl Yarbrough of the Lone Pine Community in Johnson County.
Survivors include his wife, Olene Yarbrough Angle; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Justine Angle and Alan and Brenda Angle; one daughter, Bonnie Angle; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Benjamin, Katherine, Alexandra and Jenna Angle; one sister, Mary Parkhurst of Maysville, Mo.; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Aleta and David Mullins of Texarkana, Cletus and Barbara Yarbrough of Winston, Ore., Curtis and Earleene Yarbrough of Dover, Olen and Johnnie Yarbrough of Clarksville, Clois and Erma Yarbrough of Dover, Sharon and Ron Hicks of Farmington, N. M., Jerry and Nancy Yarbrough of Clarksville; and Loeta and Tommy Venable of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral was Monday, April 25, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Oakville, Mo. Interment with full military honors was at Jefferson Barracks National cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lester English

Lester English, 86, of Lamar died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at his home.
A native of Konawa, Okla., he was a son of the late Charles and Nora Sexton English, logger and member of the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Lela Mae Thomas English; three sons, Larry English of Dover, Bobby English and wife, Joyce, of Bartlesville, Okla., and Jimmy English of Clarksville; one daughter, Judy Halsted and husband, Ronnie, of Pottsville; two brothers, Loyd English and wife, Hettie, of Hagarville and Norvel English and wife, Jewel, of Dover; one sister, Ollie Freeman of Lamar; ten grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, at the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Amos Pledger and Rev. Dwayne Holland officiating.
Burial was at Annie's Chapel cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Lena May Roberts

Lena May Roberts, 99, of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Clarksville, died March 9, 2005, at her home.
She was a native of Sedan, Kan., but had resided in St. Augustine, Fla., for the past 18 months, member of Good News Presbyterian, widow of Cleo Roberts, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Mattie Lou Roberts.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia May Roberts Glover of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Clarksville.
Funeral was at Craig Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Smiley Sturgis officiating. Burial was at Masonic cemetery in Las Cruces, N. M.

Marvin B. Baker

Marvin Benny Baker, 62, of Vandervoort, father of Michael Baker of Lamar, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, in the Mena Medical Center.
He was a native of Vandervoort, son of the late Elmer and Pearl Cornilius Baker, truck driver, served on the Vandervoort City Council and was Vandervoort mayor for several years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Anita Hicks Baker and three brothers, Buddy, Arnold and Alfred.
Survivors include one other son, Steven Baker of Cove; one daughter, Tammy Barrett of Cove; four brothers, Leon Baker, Arlis Baker, Charles Baker and Doug Baker, all of Vandervoort; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene.
Interment was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
Pallbearers were Terry and Dale Baker, Jasper Hartley, Pete Case, Dwight Barrett and David Davis.

Nola M. Turner

Nola Mae Couch Turner, 77, of Las Vegas, Nev., mother of Pamela Sue Cummins of Moonhull, died April 1, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was a native of Iowa, daughter of the late Samuel Troy and Lydia Emily Couch, widow of Elbert Ray Turner, and was preceded in death by two infant sons.
She is survived by four sons, Harold Ray Turner of California, John Ben Turner of Oklahoma, Robert Lynn Turner of Arkansas, and James Leroy Turner of Las Vegas, Nev.; six other daughters, Mary Lee Schafer of Las Vegas, Nev., Lora May Harris of Jackson Tenn., Lydia Louise Ashley of Marysville, Calif., Linda Carol Davis of California, Delores Ann Catanzano of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sandra Janette Lowe of Washington; 35 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Petersen cemetery at Alma with Carroll Sherrell officiating.

Vivian M. Highfill

Vivian M. Highfill, 93, of Hartman died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was born at Grenade's Chapel in Franklin County, daughter of the late W. R. and Josie Green Pipkins, widow of Hancel O. Highfill, and a Methodist.
She is survived by five sisters, Winnie Highfill of Hartman, Faye Roble, Helen Mitchell and Lexie Wyers, all of Clarksville, and Velda Sallis of North Little Rock.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Kendall cemetery near Hartman.
Active pallbearers will be Ralph Wyers, Richard Yarbrough, Paul Keith Pipkins, Steven Sosebee, Guy Sallis and Greg Sallis.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Mack Pipkins and Harold Allen.

Wayne Brazell

D. Wayne Brazell, 83, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, died Thursday, April 28, 2005.
He was a native of Clarksville, graduate of Barbers Hill High School, served in the U. S. Navy, manager of Peoples Lumber Company in Mount Belvieu, Texas, member of First Baptist Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Marie Brazell.
Survivors include three children, Ricky Wayne Brazell of Waller, Texas, Linda Sue Lofaso of Baytown, Texas, and Gwen Brazell of The Woodlands, Texas; one sister, Ruth Trichell of Midway, Texas; seven grandchildren, Vince Broker, Bret Broker, Tonya Pagel, Shana Lofaso, Michelle Merendino, Jami McKey and Karah Brazell; and three great-grandchildren, Blake Pagel, Kendall Merendino and Dani Perkins.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at First Baptist Church of Mont Belvieu, Texas, with Rev. Jake Porter officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Lone Pine cemetery near Clarksville. Arrangements were under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home of Baytown, Texas.
