Carmella R. Box

Carmella R. Box, 80, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007.
She was a member of the VFW, Baptist, widow of William Howard Box, and was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include one son, Charles H. Box of Clarksville; three grandchildren and spouses, Norman and Carrie Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska, Andrew and Vickie Romano of Palmer, Alaska, and Charles D. and Becky Box of Clarksville; and seven great-grandchildren, Daniel and Nathaniel Box of Clarksville, Alexandria, Donnie and William Romano of Palmer, Alaska, and Kenneth and Carmella Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Steven Standridge, Kenny Ray Phillips, Clint Place, Harley Carpenter, Ricky Hunter, and Jared Turner.

Heartsill King

Heartsill King, 82, of Clarksville died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was a son of the late Vester Patrick and Clitus Felkins King, newspaper printer-typesetter, and Air Force veteran.
He is survived by numerous cousins including Vester Felkins, William Felkins and James W. Felkins, all of Clarksville.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Stillwell cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Jimmy Fay Clayborn

Jimmy Fay Clayborn, 80, of Lamar died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Limestone, former councilman for the city of Lamar for 38 years, employed as a milk hauler for 40 years, was instrumental in organizing and serving on the Lamar Fire Department, and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hamilton Clayborn.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Lofgren of Kilgore, Texas, Donna Underwood of Longview, Texas, and Jean Rives of Oark; two sons, Larry Keys of Cedarville and Eugene Clayborn of Kilgore, Texas; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Morse, Jeremy Keys, Chatty Easley, Billy Don Clayborn, Jimmy Rives, Angie Yates, and Dee Ann Arbaugh; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Burial will be in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Fetters, Randy Struckmeyer, Don Summers, Jack Bocksnick, Ronnie Zachary, Larry Bartee, Ronnie Holman, and Joe Fetters.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Kenneth R. Walker

Kenneth Roland Walker, 73, of Clarksville died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of the Montana Community, he was a son of the late Earnest and Lela Turner Walker, retired construction employee, and member of Hunt Full Gospel Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Kenna Rayla of Wichita, Kan., Rita Walker of Dardanelle, and Rhonda Holland of Clarksville; five sons, Kenneth Roland Walker Jr. of Fouke, Jimmy Dean Walker of Hunt, Robert Edward Walker of Clarksville, Earnest Douglas Walker of Hartman, and Jason Nolan Walker of Russellville; one brother, Earnest Walker of Hartman; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and companion, Evelyn Hardgrave.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Hunt Full Gospel Church with Rev. Leo Villines and Rev. Eddie Birdsong officiating.
Burial will be in the Porter cemetery at Hunt under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Mouse Holland, David Davidson, Hank Williams, Dub Wright, Jack McCormick, and Bryan McCormick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed McCormick, Dwayne Edwards, Gary Molder, David McKnight, grandchildren, and nephews.

Lois Blackburn

Lois Elizabeth Standlee Blackburn, 91, of Little Rock, formerly of Conway, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
A native of Green Forest, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Mae O'Neal Standlee, widow of Dean W. Blackburn, 1933 salutatorian of Green Forest High School, attended Central Baptist College in Conway, graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science degree in home economics and a minor in art in 1938, taught school in Stuttgart one year, former Southwest Arkansas district manager for the Avon Corporation and, along with her husband, operated Blackburn Flower Shop and Nursery in Clarksville from 1947-1956.
She was a member of Conway First Presbyterian Church, the Conway League of Artists, Twentieth Century Club, and Mid-Southern Watercolorists, and served as a Bible Study Fellowship leader for many years. She was preceded in death by one brother, Kendall Standlee; and one sister, Eileen Standlee Warren.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Selma Blackburn of Little Rock; two daughters and one-son-in-law, Roberta Gifford of Russellville and Idalene and Bill Lyford of Little Rock; grandchildren, Linda Branch-Dasch and husband, Rob, of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard B. Gifford and wife, Becky, of Conway, Stacy Blackburn of Little Rock, Lesley Razzell and husband, Tony, of Orlando, Fla., and Steve Lyford and wife, Candice, of San Diego, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Rachel Blackburn-Parish, Kaycee, Kortni and Wilson Gifford, Charlotte and Sophie Razzell and Gigi Sipiora.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Conway First Presbyterian Church. Private burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
Visitation will be held at the church following the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
Memorials may be made to Conway First Presbyterian Church, 2400 Prince St., Conway, AR 72034, or a favorite charity of the donor's choice.

Lorene B. Chandler

Lorene Brady Chandler, 90, of Hermitage, mother of Mary George of Clarksville, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home.
She was a daughter of the late James Michael and Martha Jane Pope Brady, widow of Mardis Chandler, retired Jack Winter employee, and member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Chandler of Star City and Ervin Chandler of Russellville; two other daughters, Merilyn Pipes and Maycelle Smith, both of Hermitage; one sister, Mable Phillips of Magnolia; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Frazer's Funeral Home Chapel in Warren. Burial will be in Union Hill cemetery at Ingalls.

Connie Graham

Connie Graham, 57, of Lamar died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Russellville.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved riding horses. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Lake.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Troy Graham; one son, Kyle Graham and wife, Cora, of Scranton; one daughter, Rhonda Stephens of Clarksville; mother, Velma Lake of Columbia, Mo.; two brothers, Gary Lake of Tulsa, Okla., and Lanny Lake of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Frances Stock of Phoenix, Ariz., and Glenda Herbert of Eunice, La.; one stepchild, Lynsey Graham of Lamar; and four grandchildren, Meaghan Stephens, Kaylee Stephens, Conner McQueen and Gabriella Stepp, all of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Dicus officiating.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Flag Springs cemetery in California, Mo.
Pallbearers will be David Wyles, Steve Willis, Brad Sheppard, Tommy Riddle, Leonard Stock, and Jamason Herbert.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
