John W. Breedlove Sr.

John Wayne Breedlove Sr., 61, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at his home.

He was a native of Marked Tree, son of the late James Marion Breedlove and Lois Marie Magby, retired policeman, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by two brothers, James Edward Breedlove and Tommy Dean Breedlove.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Breedlove; one daughter, Carla Ann Cowell and husband, Anthony Wayne (Peanut), of the Flat Rock Community; one son, John Wayne Breedlove Jr., and wife, Alicia Dawn, of Denning; one sister, Janice Gehrt of the Lone Pine Community; three brothers, Jerry Lee Breedlove of Clarksville, Mike Harkness of West Memphis and Bill Harkness of Paris; three grandchildren, James Christopher Carter, Megan Cowell, and Haley Newell; and one great-grandchild, Jaden Newell.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.

The body was cremated.

John W. Wilson

John W. Wilson, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Clarksville.

He was a native of Oxly, Mo., son of the late John Wesley Wilson and Maude Wilson Chandler, 30-year military veteran of the United States Armed Forces, retired electrician from Nuclear One near Russellville, and was preceded in death by one son, Mark Neal; stepfather, Joe Chandler; two sisters, Daisy Faulk and Audrey Imigine Wilson; and two brothers, Lawrence Wilson and Rainey Wilson.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Wilson; two daughters, Audrey Morgan and husband, Justin, of Searcy and Lynn Lynch and husband, P.J., of Quincy, Mass.; two sons, James Neal and wife, Sonya, of Russellville and Mark Voss of Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Evelena Gallion of Oxly, Mo., and Dorothy Smith of Cabot; two granddaughters, Abigail Bowden and Darcy Morgan; one grandson, Brandon Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, at Lamar cemetery with Rev. Stan Chisum officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Tony Curtis Turner

Tony Curtis Turner, 46, of Muldrow, Okla., father of Delta Jacobs of Clarksville, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, in Muldrow, Okla.

Born in Fort Smith, he was the son of Barbara Stephens of Ozark and Hewie Turner of Gans, Okla.

Other survivors include his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Cassidy Hodge and Ariel Crabtree, both of Sallisaw, Okla.; two sons, Justin Foster and Jimmy Moore of the home; one sister, Theresa Harvey of Muldrow, Okla.; two brothers, Ronnie Turner of Muldrow, Okla., and Robert Turner of Ozark; and five grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Muldrow, Okla.

Burial was at Brent cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw, Okla.

Pallbearers were Ronnie and Robert Turner, Jeff Palmer, Bobby Lawson, Donnie Mizell and J.J. Moore.

Faye Athey Woodard

Faye Athey Woodard, 73, of Clarksville died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Clarksville.

She was a daughter of the late Ollie W. and Leona Jones Pitts and was preceded in death by her first husband, B.F. (Red) Athey; one son, Duran Patrick Athey; three sisters, Shirley Metzger, Deloris Sbabo, and Rennie Craig; and one brother, Freddie Pitts.

Survivors include her husband, John O. Woodard; three daughters, Brenda Lenore Hargis of Mountain Home, Deborah Jeanette Redman of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Jennifer Rebecca Wallgren of Alice, Texas; one son, Dennis Paul Athey of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Jan Hollowell of Benton, La., and Geraldine Parker of London; three brothers, H.E. Pitts of Little Rock, Clifton Pitts of Ozone, and Jerry Pitts of Hagarville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dennis P. Athey Jr., James Anthony Graves, Phillip Siegler, Russell Parker, Raymond Parker, and Chris Pickett.

Katherine Sue Allen

Katherine Sue Allen, 64, of Clarksville died Monday, April 12, 2010.

Survivors are her mother, Minnie Boone of Clarksville; one brother, Charlie Boone of Clarksville; one sister, Jo Ann Hill of Clarksville; two daughters, Kathy Davis of Clarksville and Carol Lantz of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Emily Clayborn, Jessica Lantz, David Davis, Eric Lantz, and Stuart Lantz; nieces, Christy Boone and Melissa Chavers; and nephews, Daniel Boone, Archie Hill, Robert Clark, and Donald Clark.

The body was cremated under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

A memorial headstone will be placed at Lone Pine cemetery.

Martin H. Wietor Jr.

Martin Henry Wietor Jr., 74, of Lamar died Friday, April 16, 2010, at his home.

He was a native of Ocono, Wis., son of the late Mary (Clark) and Martin Henry Wietor Sr., employee of J & M Barber Shop, member of Trinity Chapel Church, and graduate of Garden Grove (California) High School, business college and barber college.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Wietor; one daughter, Pam Wietor Wilson and husband, William, of Hilo, Hawaii; one son, Tim Wietor of Fullerton, Calif.; one sister, Marcella Rover of Ocono, Wis.; one brother, Mac Pecor and wife, Audrey, of Garden Grove, Calif.; two grandchildren, Ryan Wietor of Fullerton, Calif., and Makana Wilson of Hilo, Hawaii; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Trinity Chapel Church with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Newell M. Stepp

Newell M. (Tooter) Stepp, 66, of Spoke Plant died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at his home.

He was a son of the late Newell McKinley and Zula Acord Stepp, employed by the Oark School District for 36 years, and was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Leroy Stepp.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Roma Lynn Stepp; one son, Gregory Newell Stepp of Spoke Plant; three sisters, Merle Denzer of Springdale, Reba Melson of Prairie Grove, and Argie Benson of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Art Stepp of Spoke Plant and Dwight Stepp of Oark; and two grandchildren, Brandon Kimbriel of Clarksville and Christinia Stepp of Spoke Plant.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, at the Evans cemetery with speakers Doug Struble and Donna Jackson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be James Stepp, David Stepp, Tommy Warren, Tina Cowell, Rooster Overton, Crissy Stepp, Kelly Jackson, and Ed Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Criss, Mike Jacobs, Jeff Hyde, and Tom Mingo.

Novella M. Ogden

Novella Morrow Ogden, 83, of Coal Hill died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Clarksville Health and Rehab.

She was a native of Hartman, daughter of the late Virgil and Lola Sivina Hickey Morrow, widow of Clyde Ogden, Hess cemetery Board director, member of the Coal Hill VFW and Coal Hill Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Geneva McCain, Lorene Beaver, and Marie Magby; and four brothers, Calvin Morrow, Cecil Morrow, Odis Morris, and Donald Morrow.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Wellborn and husband, Mike, of Fulton, Ky., and Frances Huddleston and husband, Jack, of Clarksville; two sisters, Kathryn Breedlove of Coal Hill and Flora Belle Warren of Hartman; two brothers, Troy Hickey of Galt, Calif., and Nick Hickey of Searcy; five grandchildren, Nina Hatchett, Melissa Fulcher, David Wellborn, Joey Huddleston, and Justin Huddleston; five great-grandchildren, Andra Mefford, Amanda Mefford, Olivia Fulcher, Maria Huddleston, and Corbin Fulcher; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the Coal Hill Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Kindrix officiating.

Burial was in Hess cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Steve Estep, Carl Estep, Steve Acord, Andru Mefford, Joey Huddleston, and Jason Kindrix.

Honorary pallbearers were Fred Breedlove, Kermit Warren, Bill Richards, Eugene Scarberry, Billy Bert Reynolds and Don Pennington.
