Michael C. Brians

Michael Charles Brians, 30, of North Little Rock, died Nov. 10, 2005. He graduated from Central High School in Little Rock and attended Northwest Arkansas Community College.

He is survived by his wife, Meredith Kessler Brians; mother, Lois Olsen, of Sherwood; grandmothers, Rachel Vance, of North Little Rock, and Coga Ringgold, of Bryant; grandfather, R.E. Brians, of Cabot; and step-grandmother, Gladys Kelley, of Conway.

Funeral services were held Nov. 14 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was in Sylvania cemetery. Arrangements by the North Little Rock Funeral Home.

A memorial service to be held in Bella Vista at a later date.

Torrence Robinson

Torrence Robinson, 83, of Carlisle, died Nov. 4, 2005.

Survivors include his daughter, Clara Muhammad of Texas; son, Elijah Muhammad of Little Rock; and one grandson.

Interment was held Nov. 12 in the Lonoke cemetery. Arrangements were by Boyd Funeral Home.

‘Rick’ F. Moore III

“Rick” Frederick M. Moore III, 60, of Ward, died Nov. 9, 2005. He retired after 31 years with Roberts and Company, Inc. as a construction superintendent, and he was a member of Cocklebur Baptist Church. He served during Desert Storm in the Arkansas Army National Guard 212 Signal Battalion.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy E. Moore; sons, Ricky Moore of Ward and Scott Moore of Port Aransas, TX; mother, Edith R. Moore of Beebe; stepsons, Larry and Gary Stotts both of Ward; stepdaughter, Camra R. Moore of Ward; brothers, George E. Moore of Beebe and David B. Moore of Floyd; sisters, “Katie” Kathlyn Hellums of Beebe, Dianne M. Benton of Little Rock and Anita Sue McGinty of Guy; one grandchild; and six step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 13, at Westbrook Funeral Home.

Carrie Martin

Carrie Martin, 66, of Austin, died Nov. 11, 2005.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 17, at the Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, with Reverend Glenda Medford officiating. Interment will be at the Manila cemetery in Manila.

Wanda H. Fortnum

Wanda H. Fortnum, 83, of Cabot, formerly of Jacksonville, died Nov. 12, 2005. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Searcy.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Fewell of Jacksonville; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 14 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy, with interment following.

Dewey H. McLean

Dewey H. “Sonny” McLean, 60, of Cabot, died Nov. 7, 2005. He was a Vietnam veteran and served with the Arkansas National Guard until his retirement in 1992. He retired from P.E.C. Transportation at Camp Robinson in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara McLean of the home; children, Barbara Wilson, James McLean and Brian McLean, all of Cabot; three grandchildren; brothers, Joe McLean of North Little Rock, and George McLean of Cabot; sisters, Brenda Gold of Butlerville, and Connie Adams of Lonoke.

Memorial services were held Nov. 15 at the P.E.C. Chapel at Camp Robinson. Interment was in the Arkansas State Veterans cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th St., Little Rock.

Arrangements were by Thomas Funeral Service.

Helen Lucille Norris

Helen Lucille Norris, 84, of Jonesboro, died Nov. 11, 2005. She was a member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Jonesboro District WMA, Herman Extension Homemakers Club and Woodmen of the World. She retired as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration.

Survivors include her son, Rich Norris of Capitan, NM; daughter, Cathey Munns of Cabot; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in the Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Cecil H. Bates

Cecil H. Bates, 94, of Cabot, died Nov. 13, 2005.

He is survived by his daughter, Joy Dean Wilson of Austin; brother, Joe Bates of Ward; 13 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe with burial in Center Point cemetery in Quitman.

Lawrence G. Henry

Lawrence Gerald Henry, 17, of Romance, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005. He was born on April 11, 1988 in Little Rock to Glen and Brenda Carol Morgan Honey. He attended Cabot schools where he played baseball and football in the seventh, eighth and ninth grades. He loved to hunt, fish and cook. He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joseph and Jewell Higgins and Charles and Ethel Morgan.

Lawrence is survived by his parents, Glen and Brenda Honey of Romance; a sister, Brittany Henry of Ward, and a half-brother, Aaron Henry of Cabot. His grandparents, Diana and Billy Ray Ashley of Jacksonville and Roy and Velta Morgan of Quitman survive him as well as an aunt, Patricia Lockridge; cousins, Erica McDermont of Kansas, Monica Jenson of Jacksonville, and J.J. Lockridge of Jacksonville and a special friend Rachael Herrin.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home Chapel with interment in H & H Family cemetery in Romance. Visitation was 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2005. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, (501) -843-5816. To sign the online guest register visit .

Fayrean Patrick

Fayrean Patrick, age 57 of Ward, died Sunday, May 29, 2005. She enjoyed her work at Cabot Manor as the activities director.

She is survived by her husband, Sammie Patrick of Ward, two children; Brian Patrick and Michelle Cox both of Austin, two brothers; Bobby Henry of Cabot and Frankie Henry of Oak Grove, three sisters; Judy Markham of Alexander, Betty Norman of Cabot, and Annie Baggett of Searcy. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Kayleigh Patrick and Brianna Patrick and two step-grandchildren; Chassidy Cox and Tasha Lybarger.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Oak Grove cemetery.

Thomas L. Hazel

Thomas Leonard Hazel, 32, of Ward, died May 20, 2005.

Survivors include his wife Michelle Hazel; sons Cody and James Hazel all of Ward; parents Curtis and Mary Hazel of Oregon; brothers: James Hazel, Benjamin Knell, Daniel Knell and Richard Gillett; sisters: Tina Gillett, Mary Surratt and Vickie Surratt all of Portland, OR.

Visitation was Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans cemetery 1501 W. Maryland Ave. in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Service.
