Nell C. Morris

Nell C. Morris, age 62, of Lonoke, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004. She was a teacher for the Lonoke Exceptional School for 33 years and a member of the Lonoke Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Ruben Morris of Lonoke; three stepsons, Milton (Rusty) Morris of Memphis, C. Lewis Morris of Lonoke and Harold Gene Morris of Searcy; one brother, James McFadden of Lonoke; one sister, Eula (Sissy) Sutterfield of Lonoke; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral was Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Lonoke Church of Christ, with burial in Hicks cemetery, Lonoke.

William H. Fullerton

William “Bill” Harmon Fullerton, age 41, died Feb. 8, 2004.

He is survived by his wife Betty Fullerton; one daughter, Melissa Meeks of Vilonia; one brother, Kenny Fullerton of Texas; a sister, Debi Brun of Little Rock; and three grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14 at Grace Baptist Church in Scott, 408 North Walkers Corner road.

Houston Rea

Houston (Dock) Rea, 89, of Carlisle, a retired farmer, died Feb. 6, 2004. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was an Army veterar on WW II.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Burgin Rea, of Carlisle; and a brother, James Curtis Rea.
Funeral services were Feb. 9 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Glover cemetery on Sand Hills Road in Lonoke.
Memorial may be made to the Residence Activity Fund, Chambers Nursing Home Center, P.O. Box 1126, Carlisle, AR 72024.
Arrangements were by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Margaret A. Gilbert

Margaret Amanda Fee Gilbert, age 66, of Austin, Arkansas, died Sunday, February 8, 2004. She was a long-time employee of J. C. Penney and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Cabot.
She is survived by her loving husband, Philip Gilbert of Austin; one son, Tony Gilbert and wife Crystal of Conroe, Texas; one daughter, Deborah Gilbert of Austin; one sister, Dora Mae Fee of Emmet, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Philip Gilbert and Amber Gilbert.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with family receiving guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Cabot, with burial in Old Austin cemetery. To sign the online guest book, visit www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.

Geraldine M. Marcotte

Geraldine Maude Marcotte, age 91, of Cabot, ddied at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004.

Survived by her sister, Delma of St. Louis.

Graveside Services were Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Mt. Carmel cemetery. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Services of Cabot.

Marie R. Keathley

Marie Robinson Keathley, 95, died in a Clinton, nursing home Feb. 5, 2004. She was born in Cabot.

She is survived by a brother, Noble Robinson, North Little Rock, a daughter Sue Hammett; fffoour grandchildren.

She graduated from Cabot High School and attended Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway. She taught school in Danville.

Graveside services were Monday, Feb. 9 at the Ladd cemetery, Danville.

Harold S. Lincoln

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 in the Little-Davenport Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Harold S. “Sam” Lincoln, 76, of Tara Drive, Oakwood. Rev. Doug Carnes will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Lincoln died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Deering, Mo., Mr. Lincoln had lived in Hall County since 1972. He was the son of the late Loran and Lona Gill Lincoln. He served with the U.S. Army and was retired from the Propane Gas Industry where he served as a manager. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti, Mo.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Cassidy Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Harold S. Jr. and Mary Lincoln of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Randy Bruce, Gainesville; grandchildren, Harold S. Lincoln III, Little Rock, Angela Galliano, Sherwood, Emily Bruce, Gainesville and Loran Bruce, Gainesville; and great-grandchildren, Meagan Lincoln, Little Rock, Jacob Galliano, Sherwood, and a sister, Helen Jolly, Fisk, Mo.

Little-Davenport Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge.

Billy Harlan

Billy “Grubby/Brub” Norman Harlan, 58, of Augusta died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.

Funeral services were Wednesday at the Rhodes and Son Augusta Chapel. Interment in the Augusta Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Harlan of the home; his mother, Opal Harlan of Denmark; one daughter, Shelly Helms of Augusta; three grandchildren; one stepson, Eddie Cullum of Mayflower; seven step-grandchildren; two sisters - Maggie Hitt of McClelland, Norman Davis of Jacksonville; two brothers - Benny Harlan of Denmark, Jimmy Harlan of Cabot.

Jim Bearden

Jim Bearden age 70, of Little Rock died Jan. 30, 2004.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for various government agencies over his career and retired from the State of Arkansas as director of the Department of Pollution Control and Ecology. He was a 50-year Heritage Club member at Second Baptist Church of Little Rock.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bearden of 48 years; two daughters, Michele Forbess and Monique Raines; and three grandchildren.

The funeral service was Feb. 7, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Cabot.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Chapter of the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, Kan. 66601-1653 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.

James Leach

James “Jim” Leach, 72, of Cabot died Feb. 3, 2004.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran serving in the Korean War, and was retired as traffic manager of Land of Frost in Searcy.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Ann Leach; a daughter, Patricia Robinson; a son, Michael Leach; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, was in charge.
