Harold Eugene Griffin
Harold Eugene Griffin, 84, of Pottsville, AR, formerly of London, died icon Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Mary's Regional Med Center in Russellville, AR. The son of Joseph and Gladys Bruton Griffin, he was born icon May 25, 1927 in Springfield, MO. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. A licensed airplane pilot and flew his own plane. He enjoyed fishing, flying airplanes, and socializing with people. Harold took his dog Ravin with him anywhere he went. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Beverly Jean Griffin; one great-grandson Michael Waldow; brother Charles Griffin.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Joe Griffin & wife Lexie and Chris Griffin; grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Amy Caudle, Nicole Barron, Leah Marie Griffin, Ryan Christopher Griffin, Allison Barron, Nathan Barron, Richard Barron, Juliann Waldow, Sean Caudle, Gianna Griffin; sister, Patsy Koontz & husband Leo; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Reba Guynes; and his beloved dog Ravin.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Steep Hill Cemetery icon in Fort Smith. Pastor Jared Higginbotham will officiate. Burial will follow under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Peggy Hottinger
December 4, 1924 - September 29, 2011
Peggy Hottinger, 86, of Ola, AR, died icon Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. The daughter of Jess and Lula McClain Hottinger, she was born icon December 4, 1924 in Dover, Ar. She was a Teacher at the Ft. Smith and Ola School districts for 40 years. After she was retired from teaching full time she still utilized her knowledge for education as a substitute teacher. Peggy was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Ola Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother and sister-in-law Charley and Vanna Hottinger.
She is survived her Niece Mandy Buford & husband Ray of Ola; her Nephew Jeff Hottinger & wife Kim of Ozark; six great nieces; one great nephew; two great-great nieces; and one great-great nephew
Funeral will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Ola Church of Christ. Brother Alex Diestelcamp will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Tuesday, at the church. Bobby J. Drewry
July 14, 1945 - October 9, 2011
Bobby J. Drewry, 66, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Sparks Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Smith, AR. The son of J.B. and Clauselle Drewry, he was born icon July 14, 1945 in Marshall, AR. He was a Line Worker with Bridgestone-Firestone Company for 34 years. He was a member of the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Geraldine Drewry; his daughter, Kim Drewry Turner; his son, Mike L. Drewry; and his father, J.B. Drewry.
Survivors include his mother, Clauselle Drewry; his sister, Rebecca Hill; his son, Jeff Drewry, all of Russellville, AR; four grandchildren, Susan Turner Bond of Conway, Kelly Turner Wood, Morgan Drewry, Brayden Drewry; two nephews, Chris Hill and Nathan Hill; and his significant other, Ms. Norma Jones, all of Russellville.
Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville, Arkansas. Brother Charles Johnson and Ray Baker will officiate. Burial will be 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery icon in Marsena, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Jerry William Tackett
March 19, 1944 - January 6, 2012
Jerry William Tackett, 67, of Little Rock, AR, died icon Friday, January 6, 2012 in Little Rock, AR at his home after a lengthy illness. The son of James and Bennie Ruth Hurley Tackett, he was born icon March 19, 1944 in Russellville, Ar. He married icon Marjorie Tackett, on March 23, 1964 at Hector, Arkansas. He was the Store Owner of Arch Street Grocery in Little Rock for 28 years. Jerry enjoyed showing his great horses in many different states. Jerry and Marjorie also raised and showed dogs all over the U.S. in which he made many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother James Robert "Butch" Tackett; Niece Mollie Blair.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Tackett of Little Rock; one son Jeff Tackett and wife Beth of Hot Springs; one granddaughter Nicole Tackett and fiancé Jake Ussery of Little Rock; one brother Rick Tackett of Hector; and two sisters Linda Hedden and husband Vanas of Grapevine and Peggy Jarvis of Tilly.
Graveside service will be at 10:00AM, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Walnut Grove Cemetery icon in Hector, Ar by Humphrey Funeral Service. Reverend Sam Nieman will officiate. Pall bearers will be Ronnie Tackett, Bill Tackett, Vanas Hedden, Johnnie Harper, Sam Coffman, and Mike Bartlett. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Charity Deanna Warren
December 6, 2011 - January 7, 2012
Charity Deanna Warren, infant daughter of Robert Warren and Brittanie-Anne Nicole Warren was born icon December 6, 2011 in Little Rock, AR. She passed away peacefully on Saturday January 7, 2012 with her loving family around her. Charity attended East Point Baptist Church with her family. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Sewell; maternal great-grandparents, Clyde & Wanee Sims; paternal great-grandfather, Floyd White, great aunts, Anita Sims Taylor & Pamela Sue Sims.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Brittanie-Anne Nicole Warren of Russellville and Robert Warren of Hattieville; sister, Adrianne Warren of Russellville; maternal papa & granny, Dennis & Connie Sims of Russellville; paternal grandmother, Susan Bryant of Solgohachia, AR; paternal grandparents, Tom & Connie Ramsey; three aunts, Brandie McDaniels & husband Chris of Dover, Erin Morris of Morrilton, and Carrie Bryant of Solgohachia; one uncle Chris Bryant of Solgohachia; maternal great-grandparents, James & Juanita Sewell of Russellville; paternal great-grandmother Annette White of Hattieville; two paternal great-great-grandmothers; special friend Zach Burruss of Russellville; numerous great uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Brother Larry Pless will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:00am Thursday at East Point Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sims and Don Sims.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Mike Sewell.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses at Arkansas Hospice.

Hazel Morgan McPherson
July 27, 1938 - January 6, 2012
Hazel Morgan McPherson ended her journey through life and began her journey through eternity on January 6, 2012. Hazel was born icon on July 27, 1938 in Amagon, Arkansas to James Albert and Bertha Crossman Morgan. She graduated from Bradford High School in 1957 as co-salutatorian. She married icon John McPherson on June 15, 1958. Her work history included Reed Music Company, The Arkansas State Highway Department, and the Pulaski County Special School District from which she retired in 1998 as bookkeeper for the Northwood Junior High School. She was respected throughout the district for her honesty, going by the book and was always being an advocate for the school children’s welfare.
She was an active member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ in Little Rock, serving as the children's bible class department supervisor and as a bible class teacher. A serious student of the word, she also wrote the curriculum for the primary bible classes. She and John moved to Russellville in 1999, and placed their membership at the West Side Church of Christ. She and John enjoyed traveling and she loved watching "The Last of the Summer Wine" and bird watching. She was a devoted wife and mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Noah, Jack, Marvin, Oscar, J.W. and Junior, and one sister, Dorothy Jackson.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years John McPherson; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and V.J. Sanford of Bradford, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Peter Marshall of Houston, TX; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Elizabeth McPherson of St.Louis, Missouri; six grand children and precious great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Bruce Grice and Eric McPherson will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Searcy (100 East Moore Avenue,) by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Jane Smallwood Fore
July 9, 1932 - January 6, 2012
M. Jane Smallwood Fore, was born icon July 9, 1932 in Russellville and passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville at the age of 79.
She and Charles Fore were married icon on December 29, 1954 at Russellville. She was the daughter of Jack and Floy Norwood Smallwood and was a 1950 graduate of Russellville High School. She attended Randolf-Macon College in Lynchburg, Virginia and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas in 1954. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at the University of Arkansas and Randolf-Macon College and a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society.
In 1963, Jane returned to school at Arkansas Polytechnic College, earning a Master's degree in Mathematics. She taught Math for 21 years at Morrilton Community College, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of Russellville Junior Auxiliary and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Russellville and the Cardin Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Fore, Russellville; a daughter, Nancy Vaz and husband Ted, Mandeville, LA; a son, Charlie Fore, Huntsville.
Funeral will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at The Chapel at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery icon in Russellville, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 304 S. Commerce Ave., Russellville, AR 72801.

Thelma Leona Johnson
April 11, 1935 - January 6, 2012
Leona "Granny" Johnson, 76, of Russellville, while surrounded by her loving family, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The sixth of twelve children of John and Mae Morrison, she was born icon April 11, 1935 in Maysville, OK. Leona and Roy Johnson were married icon on May 1, 1952 in Porterville, CA. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her sister, Mary, lived together and they enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Johnson; her parents; brother, Billie Morrison; and sister, Margarette Hobbs.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Linda Mayo and husband Tommy of Angleton, TX and Joyce Huffman and husband Garry of Scottsville, AR; son, Ron Johnson and wife Kathy of Russellville; eight grandchildren, Darell Mayo and wife Vicky of West Columbia, TX, Lisa Herrera of Angleton, TX, Susan Grider and husband Dewayne of Russellville, Jennifer Thacker and husband Johnny of Russellville, Shawn Johnson and wife Mandy of Pottsville, Paul Johnson of Russellville, Josh Johnson and wife Tara of Russellville, Ryan Johnson of Jonesboro; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 siblings, J.D. Morrison of Redfield, Zada Linn of Carlisle, Thomas Morrison of Terra Bella, CA, Bud Morrison of Tulare, CA, Albert Morrison of Poplar, CA, Denver Morrison of Wasco, CA, Curtis Morrison of Fort Mohave, AZ, Clarence Morrison of Idaho Falls, ID, and Mary Dacus of Russellville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Reverend Ken Partain will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery icon in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., on Monday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Shawn Johnson, Paul Johnson, Josh Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Darell Mayo and Issac Herrera. Honorary pallbearers include Leona’s loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Jeremy Saul and staff of Millard-Henry Clinic, Dr. James Smith and the staff of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Dr. Andrew Henry and Lisa Ivy and the staff of Arkansas Cardiology Clinic.

Lyndal Henderson
September 16, 1942 - January 6, 2011
Lyndal Henderson 68, of Russellville, Arkansas, formerly of Searcy died icon Friday January 6, 2011 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The son of Ralph and Addilene (Bootie) Griffin Henderson he was born icon September 16, 1942 in White County. He married icon Gerrie McKamie Henderson on August 28, 1981 in Beebe. He was the owner of Superior Tool Sales and always enjoyed being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was a member of the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church. Lyndal was also a commercial pilot and workaholic. He also loved going on adventures and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Andrea Holloway.
He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Henderson; two daughters, Annette Henderson and Sheri Henderson; one son, Gary Henderson; three grandchildren, Peyton Holloway Lipe, Emily Holloway and Devin Henderson; one great-grandson, Carter Lipe; his sister, Joan Pearson Osborne; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service was held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Russellville Missionary Baptist Church. Brother Ed Heflin and Brother Eddie Dotson officiated. Memorials may be made to Russellville Missionary Baptist Church, 210 John Trusty Lane, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.

George Williamson
George R. Williamson, 83, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Pottsville, died icon Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at his son’s home in Arlington.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be in Bowden Cemetery icon at Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
