Martha Ann Southworth
Mrs. Martha Ann Faulkner Southworth, age 89, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her home in De Queen, Arkansas with family by her side.

Martha Ann was born on August 25, 1930 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. She loved life. She found great joy in maintaining her home with Dan, the farm life, gardening, and nurturing her seven children and numerous grandchildren. Martha was a great friend and servant to the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of De Queen.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Peterson Faulkner and Mary Barger Faulkner; five brothers, Billy B. Faulkner, Harold L. Faulkner, Paul W. Faulkner, Tommy J. Faulkner and Michael E. Faulkner; three sisters, Barbara J. Davis, Mary Alice Wilkinson and Linda C. Cook.

She is survived by her husband Dan A. Southworth of De Queen; three sons, Mike Everhart of Bayou Sorrel, Louisiana, Mark Everhart of De Queen and Mitch Everhart of De Queen; four daughters, Risa Knight (Brent) of Fairhope, Alabama, Leslie Gibson (Walter) of DeWitt, Arkansas, Tracy King (Dale) of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Shannon Arnold of Russellville, Arkansas; one brother, Neil Faulkner of Ferriday, Louisiana; one sister, Norma Franklin of Clinton, Louisiana. Martha also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Martha Ann Southworth will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rufus Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery.

General viewing will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th at the funeral home.

Marion Randolph (Randy) Smith, Jr.
Marion Randolph (Randy) Smith, Jr. better known as Smitty, passed away on July 23, 2020, at his home.

He was born on February 15, 1953, in De Queen and worked many years for Wilkerson Funeral Home, from where he eventually retired.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Sr. and Nadine Smith.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Cole of Lockesburg; a sister, Vicki Verser of Ashdown and a brother, Steve Smith of Murfreesboro; his special friend, Tina Higgins of De Queen and her kids that he thought of as his own; Danielle Parker Meddock of Spokane, Washington, Brice Higgins and Alexa Knutson both of De Queen; and 2 granddaughters, Piper Meddock and Natalya Parker of Spokane, Washington.

A private burial will be held August 1, 2020 at 10 am in Redmen Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements are being made by Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Dickey Frank Caudle
Mr. Dickey Frank Caudle, age 81, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born to William Edgar and Agnes Jane Smith Caudle on January 22, 1939 in Horatio. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin and worked as a technician for Western Union for 33 years. He later worked 10 years at Poulan. Dickey was a Baptist and 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed driving around town, spending time at the Cossatot River and piddling with odd projects. More than anything, Dickey cherished the time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dickey Felix Caudle; one daughter, Kina Von Caudle; two brothers, Billy Joe Caudle and Lemuel Caudle; and four sisters, Eta Parker, Rena Crumpton, Janie Lincoln and Jean Bukowsky.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff Caudle of Fort Worth, Texas and Reid Caudle and wife Mary of New Mexico; four grandchildren, Wade Caudle and Casey Caudle of Hurst, Texas, Wyatt Caudle of Weatherford, Texas, and Jake Caudle of Washington; one sister, Gladys May Irvan of Waxahachie, Texas; two brothers, Jim Bob Caudle and wife Ruby of Cartwright, Oklahoma, and Dale Caudle and wife Joyce of Horatio; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. Dickey Caudle will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 27, 2020, at the Horatio Cemetery with Bro. John Gutierres officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Charlie D. Jordan
Mr. Charlie D. Jordan, age 71, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, July 20, 2020, in De Queen.

He was born to Alonzo and Rebecca Griffin Jordan on January 24, 1949 in De Queen. He married the love of his life, Kathern B. Walton, on July 31, 1974 in Idabel, Oklahoma. He worked as a Machine Operator for Weyerhaeuser Company, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ and enjoyed fishing, watching “The Price Is Right” and wrestling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 46 years, Kathern Jordan of De Queen; one daughter, Teresa Ann Jordan of De Queen; one son, Anthony Keith Ross of De Queen; three grandchildren, Chyna Prewitt and husband Alex of De Queen, Vanity Jordan of De Queen, and Chris Jones of Chattanooga, Tennessee; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mamie Pace and husband Joe of Washington and Mary Lee Edwards of Lawrence, Kansas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Jordan will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2020 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Eld. Jerome Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

The use of a face mask or covering will be required during the time of visitation and funeral service.

Shirley Ann Bailey
Mrs. Shirley Ann Bryan Bailey, age 73, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, July 14, 2020, at her home.

She was born to Rufus Lee and Opal Eskey Bias Bryan on February 21, 1947, in De Queen. She was a Baptist and member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Shirley married Ronald Wayne (Ronnie) Bailey on May 17, 1996, in De Queen. She and Ronnie spent over 24 loving years together. Shirley enjoyed her more than 22 years working with Southwest Arkansas Development Council. She spent time working in Home Health and Medical Transportation. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed the time spent traveling and watching their ballgames. She was an avid fan of the De Queen Leopards. She also enjoyed hunting, painting, and working on craft projects with her cousin, Geneva.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a precious grandson, Craig Westbrook; and one brother, Clayburn Montgomery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Ronnie Bailey of De Queen; one son, Scotty Westbrook and his wife Penny of Umpire; one daughter, Sissy Arndt and her husband Dennis of De Queen; five grandchildren, Clay Westbrook, Jake Arndt, Cade Arndt, Jessica Beck and Dustin Bailey; step-grandchildren, Jo and his wife, Scotti Musick; nine great-grandchildren, Danielle Beck, Jaiden Thronburg, Sawyer Thronburg, Jeremiah Bailey, Keith Bailey, Timmy Bailey, Daylen Bailey Ja’Kynlee Johnson and Ruger Wesson; two step great-grandchildren, William Musick and Lela Musick; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Shirley Bailey will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Mt. Ida Cemetery, with Keith Rose and Jimmy Roden officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Mrs. Loretta Rose VanMeter DeLord
Mrs. Loretta Rose VanMeter DeLord, age 81, a resident of Texarkana, Texas left this life Thursday, July 23, 2020, at her home.

She was born August 17, 1938, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was retired from De Queen Regional Medical Center, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Mrs. DeLord was preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. and Rosalie Simer VanMeter; one sister, Judy Gayle Rogers; and one son, Marcus Anthony DeLord.

She is survived by one daughter, Mitzi Moraniec of Texarkana, Texas; one brother Larry D. VanMeter and his wife Karen of Texarkana, Texas; one granddaughter, Victoria Moraniec; two grandsons, TJ Moraniec and Marcus DeLord; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service for Mrs. DeLord will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Faith Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas with Bro. Edgar Wallace officiating. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

Ms. Vicki Marie O’Dell
Ms. Vicki Marie O’Dell, age 66, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home.

She was born October 31, 1953 in De Queen. She was a homemaker.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Gordon and Virginia Waters O’Dell.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Ochoa of De Queen and Emily O’Dell of Minnesota; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Shaun and Lindsay Wilson and Nick O’Dell, all of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Aalexis Romine, Erik Caballero, Cianna Caballero, Kloey Powell, Olivia Wilson, and Avery Wilson; and a great granddaughter, Ahsha Romine.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home.
