Mrs. Frances Willis
Mrs. Frances Louise Madewell Willis, age 77, resident of Haworth, Oklahoma and former resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at her home.

She was born to John Elmer and Wessie Marie Mooneyham Madewell on August 20, 1942 in Horatio, Arkansas. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She also worked for Pilgrim’s Pride, formerly Mountaire Poultry, and as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and attending garage sales, but more than anything, Frances cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Leta Loneman Smith; two sons, Donald Loneman and John Haury; one brother, James Madewell; and one sister, Margie Payne.

Frances leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Christopher Haury and Cecil Haury, both of De Queen, and James Haury and his wife Christy of Horatio; four daughters, Reta Loneman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sara Loneman of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Donna Loneman of Springdale, Arkansas and Evelyn Espindola and her husband Jaime of Haworth, Oklahoma; two special grandchildren, whom she raised as her own, Jennifer Haury and Braden Haury, both of Lockesburg; 29 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Pedro Robles of De Queen; one brother, Cecil Madewell of Dell City, Oklahoma; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances Willis will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Tatum, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Friday, June 19th, at the funeral home.

Due to current health concerns, the family ask for anyone who plans to attend the visitation or funeral service to please use a face mask or covering. Please refrain from touching or hugging and keep a comfortable distance of six (6) foot from one another while inside the funeral home. Hand sanitizer will be available.

Martin Cervantes Rios

He was born November 11, 1964 in San Miguel, Mexico. He was a forklift operator at Jeremy Worthy Enterprise and a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Mr. Rios was preceded in death by his parents, Esmondo Rios and Leonor Cervantes; his wife, Donna Lou Bond Rios; and a daughter, Martina Raeana Rios.

He is survived by his wife, Blanca Rios; three daughters, Leonor Rios, Gabriela Rios and Karina Lopez; four sons, Kerry Bond, Martin Rios, Eddie Lopez and Noe Lopez; one grandson, Greyson Bond, all of De Queen; and a number of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Rios will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the Beacon Hill Cemetery pavilion with Alfredo Castro officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Family requests that everyone remain safe and please, if possible, wear a face mask and practice social distancing for safety.

General viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 15th at the funeral home.

Arturo Luna
Arturo Luna, age 50, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Luna was born on December 16, 1969, in San Felipe, GTO, Mexico. He worked maintenance for Pilgrims, enjoyed karaoke, telling jokes, gardening, grilling, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Senaida Hernandez Luna.

Mr. Luna is survived by his wife, Graciela Luna; his father, J. Conception Luna of De Queen, Arkansas; four children, Katie Elizet Luna, Berenice Luna, Gustaro Luna, and Arturo Luna, Jr. all of Horatio; six sisters and six brothers all of Mexico; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Maria Rodriguez
Mrs. Maria Guadalupe Mendoza Rodriguez, age 69, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, June 7, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.

She was born to Jose Carmen and Maria Pilar Ledezma on November 10, 1950 in Weslaco, Texas. Maria worked at Pilgrim’s Pride in De Queen, starting in 1983, and recently taking retirement. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and enjoyed shopping, cleaning her house, listening to music and flowers, especially white roses, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Alejandro Rai Avila; three brothers, Antonio Mendoza, Carmelo Ledezma, Jr., and Manuel Ledezma; and one brother-in-law, Roberto Rodriguez.

She leaves to cherish her memory, six children and their spouses, Sylvia and Rolando Garza of Harlingen, Texas, Cesar Rodriguez of De Queen, Hilda and Pablo Avila of De Queen, Diana and Benjamin Jacobo, Jr. of De Queen, Joe David and Nancy Rodriguez of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Antonia and Jaime Trinidad of De Queen; grandchildren, Aaron and Samuel Garza of Harlingen, Texas, Callie Miranda of De Queen, Kassandra, Tatiana and Angel Avila of De Queen, Dominique Jacobo-Brown of Lakewood, Washington, Monique, Matilda, Benjamin III, and Nathan Jacobo of De Queen, Chloe and Caden Rodriguez of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Isaak Trinidad of De Queen; one great-granddaughter, River Brown of Lakewood, Washington; her parents, Jose and Maria Ledezma; her children’s father, Zeferino Rodriguez of De Queen; her siblings and their spouses, Juana and Manuel Tagle, Cruz Rodriguez, Javier and Juanita Ledezma, Irma and Johnny Grimaldo, Carmen and Jose Garcia, Loudres and Mike Baker, and Jorge Ledezma; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

General viewing will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Thursday, June 11, 2020 and 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Due to current health concerns, the use of a face mask or covering will be required during you time at the funeral home. A limit of 10 individuals will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Please refrain from touching or hugging and keep a comfortable distance of six (6) foot from one another while inside the funeral home.

Flora Isabel Lundi

Flora Isabel Lundi, 92, of Newhope, AR, and formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Dierks Health & Rehab, Dierks, AR.

Isabel was born on May 17, 1928, in Greenfield, IN, to Jacob and Ethel (Carrie) Loehr. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Jess Lundi on January 21, 1985. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2009.

Mrs. Lundi was a 1936 graduate of Knights Town High School. She was a waitress for 40 years at Penguin Point in Huntington and Florida and also at Don’s Truck Stop. She was a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Arkansas.

Isabel is survived by two sons, Dennis (Peggy) Morgan, Ross (Suzi) Morgan, both of Roanoke, IN; one daughter, Julie (Randal) Ware, Newhope, AR; 20 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sons, David Morgan, Phillip Morgan, Curtis Morgan; McKenzie Morgan; and four siblings.

A Memorial Service will be announced and held in August.

A private burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.

Memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.

Mr. Dwane Leslie Baughn
Mr. Dwane Leslie Baughn of Valiant, Ok. died at his home on May 29, 2020. He was born Aug 13, 1958 in Newton , KS to Roy L. and Virginia Jackson Baughn.

The Family moved to Arkansas in 1972 where he attended Horatio School; He was a member of Horatio Church of Christ. Later he moved to Phoenix, AZ where he pursued a career as a master diesel mechanic.

Dwane was preceded in death by his father, maternal & paternal grandparents, and his wife Carolyn Farwater Baughtn.

He is survived by his mother, two daughters, Stepheny Baughn of Nashville, AR, Corey Zimmerman & husband Mike of Green Forest, AR, one son, Roy D. Baughn of E. Peoria, IL, three sisters, Jan Holmes and husband Howard of Benton, AR, Lisa Johnson and husband Archie of De Queen, AR., Belinda Moore and husband Terry of Broken Bow, OK., six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his mother, Virginia Baughn, in Horatio.
