Debbie Kay Harder
Debbie Kay Harder, age 60, a resident of Provo, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 24, 2020, in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born January 13, 1960, in Talihina, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and worked in medical billing.

Mrs. Harder was preceded in death by her father, William Austin.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Harder; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Mackey Hibbs of Provo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Samantha Harder of Lockesburg, Arkansas and Bubba and Meaghan Harder of Provo; six grandchildren, Baylee Harder, Lanie Hibbs, Belle Hibbs, Alyson Harder, Ryleigh Harder and Braden Harder; her mother, Mary Sue Cook of Hugo, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lisa Austin of Antlers, Oklahoma and Rhonda Prichard of Stratford, Oklahoma; two brothers, Scott Austin of Eagletown, Oklahoma and Ronnie Austin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harder will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2020, in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Larry Fry officiating. Burial will follow in McHorse Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25th at the funeral home.

Edward “Ed” Bailey
Mr. Edward “Ed” Bailey, age 60, resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed from this life on Monday, March 23, 2020 at his home.

He was born to B.C. Griffin and Annie Bell Bailey on January 19, 1960 in Foreman, Arkansas. He was a 1979 graduate of Haworth High School, where he enjoyed his time playing basketball with the Haworth Lions. He married the love of his life, Barbara Kay Haney, on April 17, 1981 in De Queen. He worked as a Kiln Operation for Weyerhaeuser Company for over 40 years, retiring when his health began to fail in August of 2019. He was a member of New View Church of Christ in Center Point and Tuskegee Airman Post 332 in Mineral Springs. He enjoyed the fishing, hunting, dominoes, playing softball with the Mineral Springs Bears and riding horses, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lorene Moore, Zannie Mae Bailey and Annie Jean Bailey; and two brothers, Robert Bailey and Leodis Threadgill.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of over 38 years, Barbara Kay Bailey of Lockesburg; three sons, Avery Haney of Texarkana, Jason Gunnells of Lockesburg and Lamont Whitfield of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Lakeia Bailey of Tulsa; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Albert Williams of Foreman, Billy Bailey and Necie of Idabel, Kervin Bailey Idabel, Mary Bailey of Hugo and Dorothy Davis of Idabel; as well as, step-siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ed Bailey will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2020 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Romillious Scroggins officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Field Cemetery, Lockesburg, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Charmaine Doloris Archer
Charmaine Doloris Archer, age 83, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in Dierks.

She was born February 25, 1937, in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. She was a R.N.

Mrs. Archer was preceded in death by her parents, John Castillo, Sr. and Stelmae Paybo and one son, Donald J. Gladman.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Dean Silva, Sr. of Centerpoint, Arkansas and Jaeda and Curtis Elvenia of Hawaii; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Jolynn Gladman of Hawaii and Christopher and Lisa Gladman of Centerpoint; one sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Gary Sclaph of Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, John Castillo, Jr. and Maria Castillo of Virginia; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Charles Cecil Bishop, Jr.
Charles Cecil Bishop, Jr., age 86, a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas died Monday, March 16, 2020, in Little Rock.

He was born November 15, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired Sr. Supervisor from Pilgrim’s Pride.

Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Cecil Bishop, Sr. and Laura Carlock Bishop; one brother, James E. Bishop; and two sisters, Leila Mullins and Mary Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Marnetta Gore Bishop; one son, Timothy Bishop of Little Rock; one sister, Marie Bishop Stow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bishop will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in Millwee Cemetery with Charles Krudwig officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Harless Marlin Oglesby, Sr.
Harless Marlin Oglesby, Sr., age 87, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas died Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Pleasant Manor in Ashdown, Arkansas.

He was born March 17, 1932, in Arkinda, Arkansas. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and served during the Korea Conflict. He was a master barber, logger & sawmill owner, he worked in jail ministry, was a minister at Saratoga Baptist Church for 15 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winthrop, Arkansas where he was associate pastor, pastor and song leader for 20 years.
Mr. Oglesby was preceded in death by his parents, William Austin and Junie Ethel Ridge Oglesby; one granddaughter, Joy Southerland; five brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Sandra Wade Oglesby; one son and daughter-in-law, Marlin Oglesby, Jr. and Emily of Fouke, AR; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra and Dean Jones of Winthrop, Arkansas and Leita Southerland of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Norma Franklin of Hot Springs Village, AR; seven grandchildren, Ben Southerland, Kay Dea Carrell, Jacob Southerland, Jared Jones, Meagan Anderson, Austin Oglesby and Sara Oglesby; 11 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Freddie “Wiggie” Tallant, David Boyd and Ricky Southerland and many friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Oglesby will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the First Baptist Church in Winthrop, Arkansas with Marlin Oglesby, Jr., Dean Jones, Austin Oglesby, and Audie Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday before the service.

Nadine V. Barber Bizzell
Nadine V. Barber Bizzell, age 85, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Saturday, March 14, 2020, at her daughters home in Ashdown, Arkansas.

She was born October 28, 1934, in Pineville, Louisiana. She was the owner of Nadine’s Café and a Baptist.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Tilton and Velma Cleo West Barber; her husband, Raymond Dale Bizzell; three sons, Terry Ballard, Rod Bizzell and Kenny Bizzell; two brothers, Thomas and Horace Barber and one sister, Myrtle Grace Mumphrey.

She is survived by six children, Donald Ballard and wife Cathy of Ashdown, Judy Steed and husband Royce of Lockesburg, JoAnn Martin and husband Chuck of Lockesburg, Carol Stockman and husband Jim of Ashdown, Pam Warden and husband Wayne of East Bend, North Carolina and JoAnn Keener and husband Billy of De Queen; two sisters, Jerry Marze and Margarete Monk; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Ballard and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Nadine Bizzell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in the First Baptist Church of Lockesburg. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Mr. Burton Satterfield
Mr. Burton Dale Satterfield, age 81, resident of Gillham, passed from this life on Friday, March 13, 2020 at his home.

He was born to Ira James and Viola Pruitt Satterfield on September 15, 1938 in Roswell, New Mexico. He married the love of his life, Wanda Lou Parramore, on December 11, 1969. He worked as a Conductor for D&E TO&E Railroad, retiring with 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, painting and prospecting for gold, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 44 years, Wanda Lou Satterfield; and one stepbrother, Freddy DeFore.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Rick Satterfield and wife Michelle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Scott Satterfield of Conway and James Satterfield of Dallas; five daughters, Melinda Hanson of Texarkana, Mary Kirkpatrick and husband Ralph of Tampa, Florida, Angela Allen of Quinlan, Texas, Rhonda Hutman and husband Frank of Portage, Indiana and Beth Alvarez and husband Gus of Mena; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Satterfield, Sr. and wife of Evelyn of Blum, Texas; one sister, Darlene Parramore of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepsister, Irene Lee of Broken Bow; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

The family of Mr. Burton Satterfield will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel. Private family burial will be held at Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
