Jimmie Doyle Bice
Mr. Jimmie Doyle Bice, age 67, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at his home.

He was born November 8, 1950 in McKinleyville, California. He was an auto mechanic and a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Bice was preceded in death by his parents, Vee and Betty Jo Joiner Bice; two brothers, Rod Bice and Woody Middlebrook; and a granddaughter, Brooklyn Pavioni.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Brett Pavioni of Little Rock, Arkansas; one son, Justin Bice of De Queen; three grandchildren, Kyla Bice, Alyssa Kelley and Elizabeth Pavioni; two brothers and a sister in-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Bice of Eagletown, Oklahoma and Kelly Bice, also of Eagletown; two sisters, Kathy Bice of Eagletown and Sharon Bice of Walnut Creek, California; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Bice will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Eagletown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4th, at the funeral home.

Neville Don Hopson
Mr. Neville Don Hopson, age 85, a resident of Magazine, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at his home.

He was born to Neville Woodson and Cleo Christine Gore Hopson in Falls Chapel, Arkansas on May 24, 1933. He was a graduate of Ashdown High School, and Draughns Radio School.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don was a First-Class Radio Engineer and Broadcaster. He worked many Stations including KDQN, De Queen and KLRA, Little Rock, before putting KVYL on the Air in Holdenville, Oklahoma, which he and his wife owned from 1964 to 1979. Retiring to the Blue Mountain Community in Logan County, Arkansas, where he was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Booneville, Arkansas.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Tommy Canion.

He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Mary Ann Izard Hopson of Magazine; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Wink DeWayne Hopson and Jennifer, Shane Brent and Vicki Hopson, and Travis Neville Hopson; a daughter and son-in-law, Karlyn Kay and Larry Johnson; five grandchilden, Ryne, Mylynn, Lauren, Isabella, and Shannon; one brother, Rodney Brent and his wife Deanna Hopson, M.D.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Helena Jantine Canion, and Charla Beth and Gary Tucker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Don Hopson will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lee Canada officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopson Family Cemetery near Falls Chapel, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Betty Thomas McNeal
Mrs. Betty Thomas McNeal (Granny), age 80, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at her home.

She was born August 26, 1938, to David and Ella Proctor Thomas in Dierks, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Solid Rock Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed her family, loved animals, and the outdoors.

Mrs. McNeal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pat McNeal; three sons, David Kim McNeal, Terry McNeal, and Michael Patrick McNeal; one daughter, Doris Neugebauer; three brothers, Opal Dean Thomas, Odell Thomas, and Ray (Sonny) Thomas; and three sisters, Maurine Butler, Irene Brown, and Shirley Dinger.

She is survived one daughter, Cindy Pickett; her sister, Linda Catlett of Jacksonville, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Pamela and husband Duane Sumler; one son-in-law, Robert Neugabauer; 11grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Curtis Black, Bobby and Anna Neugebauer, Starla and Harold Martin, Barry and Carly McNeal, Amber McNeal and Rex Hackleman, Chris Pickett, Cody and Cindy Pickett, Tabitha and Justin Craig, Tina Ellis, Anthony and Lacy McNeal, and Adam McNeal; 28 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McNeal will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018, in the Horatio Cemetery with Sherrie Grant officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday the 29th at the funeral home.

William Nathan “Billy” Buck
Mr. William Nathan “Billy” Buck, age 65, a resident of Smithville, Oklahoma, died on Monday, August 27, 2018, in Mena, Arkansas.

He was born to Herman Nathan and Thelma Cox Buck on January 2, 1953, in Stockton, California. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps and he was a truck driver. He married the love of his life, Mary Etta Dixon, on February 20, 1985, in De Queen, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, guns and his puppies. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Ashcraft.

He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Mary Buck of Hatfield; two grandchildren, Delane and Maelee Ashcraft of Darby, Texas; two brothers, Robert Buck of De Queen, and Gene Buck of Washington; one sister, Judy Jerkins; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.

Maxine Elizabeth Nichols Lidbetter
Mrs. Maxine Elizabeth Nichols Lidbetter, age 78, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at her home.

She was born June 3, 1940, in Many, Louisiana. She was a retired school cafeteria manager.

Mrs. Lidbetter was preceded in death by her parents, Max C. and Violet Randolph Nichols; a sister, Faye Cupples and her husband Bob; and a niece, Tonya Rainer.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Lidbetter of De Queen; her children, Cheri Barber and husband Bo of Converse, Louisiana, Sheila Kanatzar and husband Bob of De Queen, Amy Mitchell of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tony Lidbetter and wife Lindsey of Soap Lake, Washington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lidbetter will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Many, Louisiana with Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 9-11a.m. on Tuesday, at the church.

Roma Lee Bristow Young
Mrs. Roma Lee Bristow Young, age 79, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 25, 2018, at her home.

She was born July 20, 1939 in Foreman. She was an R.N. with New Directions at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma and enjoyed watching Bro. Shreve at First Baptist Church of Texarkana on Sunday mornings.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents, John and Daisy Provence Bristow; a sister, Billie Faye Fowler and a granddaughter, Meagan Vay Dossett.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Diana Dossett of Minden, Louisiana and John and Renita Dossett of Ashdown, Arkansas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Julie and Terry Flood of Goodwater, Oklahoma, Jacqueline and Weldon Green of Terrell, Texas and Deborah Turner of Foreman; three brothers, Curtis Bristow, Samuel Bristow and Fred Bristow; one sister, Darlene Altenbaumer; 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Mize officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravelly Cemetery in Foreman.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Friday.

Jose Purdenciano Camacho
Mr. Jose Prudenciano Camacho, age 70, a resident of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in Dallas, Texas.

He was born to Isidoro and Rufina Gonzalez Cruz Camacho on April 27, 1948, in Mexico. He had a very strong work ethic and he spent his life working in the oil fields, pipelining and at Tyson. He enjoyed fishing, his animals, farming, gardening and bringing roses to his sweet wife, Rufina. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Martin Camacho.

He is survived by his wife, Rufina Jimenez Hernandez Camacho of Mineral Springs; one daughter, Alberta Garcia and her husband, Efrain, of Mineral Springs; three sons, Febronio Camacho and his wife, Isidora, of Nashville, Prudincio Camacho and his wife, Maria, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jesus Camacho of Texarkana; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Jose Camacho will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, August 27, 2018, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Jeremiah Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., and Sunday, August 26th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
