Seldon Stansbury

Mr. Seldon Crew Stansbury, age 94, a resident of Pittsburg, Texas, and former resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 in a Pittsburg, Texas hospital.

He was born to James William and Ethel Clements Stansbury on March 17, 1923 in DeKalb, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Navy. He was US Post Master in Horatio retiring after 37 years of service. He was a member of Williamson Community Church, and enjoyed gardening, cow ranching, fishing, and hunting. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 72 years, Alline Pittman Stansbury, his siblings, Virgil Stansbury, Dewey Stansbury, Veda Pittman, and Marilyn Sewell and a grandson, Brad Stansbury.

He is survived by his son and special friend, Roger Stansbury and Patti Ayers of Pittsburg, Texas, three grandsons and their spouses, Brock and Serena Stansbury of Lewisville, Texas, Blake Stansbury of Winnsboro, Texas, and Brett and Olivia Stansbury of Colorado Springs, Colorado, six great-grandchildren, Annabel, Brooke, Emma, Alyssa, Isabella, and Kaleb, a brother-in-law, Jeff Sewell of Henderson, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Seldon Stansbury will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, AR with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow with military rites in the Clear Creek Cemetery, Horatio, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00P.M., until service time at the funeral home.

Donna Jean Boyea McCullough

Mrs. Donna Jean Boyea McCullough, age 74, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Howard County Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas.

She was born August 20, 1943 in Howard County, Arkansas. She was a security guard for Poulan in Nashville.

Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe McCullough; her father, Chester Boyea; two brothers, Larry Boyea and Terry Boyea; a son, Wayne Hartness, and an infant son.

She is survived by her mother Joy Reed Boyea; one daughter, Brenda Dixon; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ray and Brenda Hartness of Nashville and Timmy Hartness also of Nashville and Harry and Cindy Shaffer of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister, Brenda Wincher of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one nephew.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McCullough will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Biggs Chapel Cemetery with Richard Leach officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017, at the funeral home in Dierks.

Joseph Lee Sparks

Mr. Joseph Lee Sparks, age 49, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at his home.

He was born on November 10, 1968. De Queen, Arkansas, on November 10, 1968. He served in the military with both the Army, and the Navy, and was an employee of Tyson, where he worked in maintenance. He a member of VFW, enjoyed watching movies, and cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stormy Harned and stepfather, Norman Turner, a nephew, Cody Sparks, and a niece, Tannah Sparks.

He is survived by his wife of almost eleven years, Bridgett Myers Sparks of De Queen, Three daughters, Holliann Sparks of Wetumpka, Alabama, Tiffani Sparks of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Beth Sparks of De Queen, a son, Andy Sparks of De Queen, a step-daughter, Shelby Dixon of Waldron, Arkansas, a step-son, Sean Dixon also of Waldron, Arkansas, his mother, Sharon Harned of De Queen, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael Sparks of De Queen, and Daniel and Becky Sparks of Kissimmee, Florida, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee and Kevin Olsen of De Queen, and Amy and Jeremy Lockeby of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a number of nieces and nephews and other family members.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Joseph Sparks will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 22, 2017, in the Foster Cemetery in Rocky, Arkansas, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Chandler Funeral Home.

Franklin Terry Crump

Mr. Franklin Terry Crump, age 54, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Horatio, Arkansas.

He was born September 4, 1963, in De Queen. He was a master plumber, a former member of the De Queen Fire Department, a member of the First Assembly of God Church, and served in the Army National Guard.

Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Lee Crump and Aundria Nell Connell Crump and his niece, Megan Dossett.

He is survived by his family members, Angie Rettmann Crump; Brooke Crump, Jessica Crump, Clay Coffman, Steven and Allison Crump, Jaron Tipton, Calan Tipton, Diane and Todd Dossett, Sue and Todd Benedict, Trish and Mike Westhuis, James and Olivia Crump, Jill Crump, Haydynn and Eli Coffman and Carter Crump, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Crump will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Jaron Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Thursday before the service at the funeral home.

Ada Ruth Keller

Mrs. Ada Ruth Mesamore Keller, age 83, a resident of Foreman, Arkansas, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

She was born July 9, 1934, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was a retired school teacher for Foreman School District, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Foreman and United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by her parents, John Leslie Mesamore, Sr. and Izora Buster Mesamore; her husband, Dallas Carl Keller; one brother, John Leslie Mesamore, Jr. and one step-daughter, Carol Keller Wallace.

She is survived by one son, Don Charles LaVoice, Jr. of Foreman; one daughter, Lori LaVoice also of Foreman; one step-daughter, Chris Torres of Texas City, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Don Charles LaVoice III, Allison Mears, Jill Jones, Holly Jones, Christi Hart, Phil Svec and Robert Moore and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, December 22, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Foreman.

A graveside memorial service for Mrs. Keller will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Dollarhide Cemetery in Foreman.

Eugene Huddleston

Mr. Eugene Huddleston, age 82, a resident of Judsonia, Arkansas, a former resident of De Queen, died December 19, 2017, in the Oakdale Nursing Center in Judsonia.

He was born to Elige Shirey and Beulah Mae Huddleston on January 25, 1935, in Levelland, Texas. He married the love of his life, Imogene Stephens, in 1957, in Snyder, Texas. He attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Wickes and was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was affectionately known as “Pappaw” to his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 53 years, Imogene Huddleston, and a son-in-law, Timothy Mobbs.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Rita Huddleston of Searcy, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Steve DeMars of Anacortes, Washington, nine grandchildren, Tommy Huddleston, Jr., Shonda June Huddleston, Tim Mobbs, Jimmy Mobbs, Doug Mobbs, Maranda Russell, Erica Brown, Michelle Dawson, and Mark DeMars, twenty great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, a number of nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Eugene Huddleston will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday December 22, 2017, in the Pentecostal Church of God in Wickes. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in De Queen, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 21st from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Bobby Ray Aldridge, Jr.

Mr. Bobby Ray Aldridge, Jr, age 50, a resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born to Bobby Ray Aldridge, Sr. and Wilma Nadene Pulliam Taggart in San Diego, California on August 20, 1967. He served in the military with the U S Air Force, and was an employee of the

Horatio E-Z Mart. He was a member of the Round Top Hunting Club in Dierks, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Stephens, and an aunt, Renee Frederick.

He is survived by two sisters, Jill Lorenc of Horatio, and Dena Canaguier of Gladewater, Texas, eight nieces and nephews, Saun Canaguier, Nick and Kayla Canaguier, and Kaitlyn Canaguier all of Gladewater, Texas, Breanna Battiest of Ringold, Oklahoma, Ashley Wilson of Malvern, Arkansas, Kaylee Cornett of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brandon and Shelby Cornett of Horatio, Arkansas, and Lexy Austin of Foreman, Arkansas

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas.
