Floyse Hyle Howard
Floyse Hyle Howard, age 87, resident of Dierks, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 in Howard Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Dierks Church of Christ with James McRae and Lowell Lites, minister, officiating. Burial followed in Dierks cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
He was born April 26, 1916 at Nathan to William Edward and Onie White Howard; was a member of Dierks Church of Christ where he served as an elder for several years; and was retired from Weyer-haeuser where he worked as a supervisor for 42 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgia Ruth Green Howard in 1989; and a son, Thomas Edward Howard in 2003.
He is survived by four sons, Ronnie Howard, Danny Howard and Richard Howard, all of Nashville, and Jim Lloyd of Dierks; one daughter, Jo Ann Walters of Dierks; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the funeral home in Dierks.

Dale Wesley Roden
Dale Wesley Roden, age 77, resident of Eagletown, Okla., died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at his home.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home of De Queen.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 in the Eagletown Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy McCage officiating.
He was born Feb. 18, 1926 in McCurtain County to Wesley and Julie Higgins Roden; was a retired maintenance department employee of Pilgrim’s Pride; and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, LaVon Riley Miller Roden of Eagletown, Okla.; two step-sons, Lenny Ed Miller of Springfield, Mo., and Lemuel Key of De Queen; five step-daughters, Queta Brian of De Queen, Jo Ashalintubbi and Sandra Kesterson, both of Eagletown, Okla., Judy Givens of Las Vegas, Nev., and Carolyn Smith of De Queen.

Corinne Reid Waters
Mrs. Corinne Reid Waters, age 89, resident of Beaumont, Tex., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 in Green Acres Nursing Facility at Beaumont.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10 in Redmen cemetery with Rev. Bill Fish officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, De Queen.
She was born Nov. 11, 1913 in Foreman; was a homemaker; and a Methodist. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Waters in 1979; and a daughter, Gwen Beeson in 1999.
She is survived by two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.

Gregory A. “Peck” Hoover
Gregory Allen “Peck” Hoover, age 42, resident of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 in an automobile accident near Fouke.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 in Pauley cemetery with Rev. Harless Oglesby and Rev. Audie Dawson officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
He was born Dec. 24, 1960 at Colorado City, Tex., to Sundown and Anita Haltom Hoover; was a welder; and a Baptist.
He is survived by his parents, Sundown and Anita Hoover of Winthrop; two brothers, James. T. Mears and Alford O. Hoover, both of Winthrop; one sister, Connie E. Hoover of Hope; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Haltom of Loraine, Tex.; two nephews and two nieces.

Mary Ann Keith
Mary Ann Keith, age 63, resident of the Falls Chapel Community, Ark., died Saturday, November 1, 2003 in the Minden Medical Cen-ter, Minden, La.
She was born to John Alexander and Johnie Rene Hunter Keith, on February 7, 1940 in the Falls Chapel Community. She was a member of the Falls Chapel Cumperland Presbyterian Church. She was pre-ceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Leonard William Keith in 1942.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Ann Keith of Lockesburg; two nephews; David Kenneth Keith of Texar-kana, Tex.; and John Edward Keith of Arkadelphia, Ark.; three nieces; Cheryl McKellar of Estero, Fla.; Lori Kay Chambless of Hope, Ark.; and Lisa Gail Miller of Lockesburg; and a number of great-nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Mildred Reeves of Texarkana, Ark.
Funeral services for Mary Ann Keith were held at 2:00 p.m., Mon-day, November 3, 2003 in the Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ann Holly officiating. Burial followed in the Falls Chapel cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Ark.

Sandra Kay Elkins
Sandra Kay Elkins, age 31, resident of Arkadelphia, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 in Little Rock Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 in Herndon Funeral Home Chapel at Hope with Bro. Earl Cumbie officiating. Burial followed in Antioch cemetery in Nashville.
She was born March 24, 1972 at Nashville to Charles Ralph Hale and Iva Mae Brown Travis; and was a homemaker. She was predeceased by a grandmother, Iva Lee Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Hale of Arkadelphia and Brandon Elkins of Hope; her mother, Iva Mae Brown Travis; her stepfather, Darrell Blackmon of Dierks; and three brothers, Michael Bagley of Malvern, Curtis Blackmon of Remstein Air Force Base in Germany, and Lynn Blackmon of Grannis.

John Richardson
John Richardson, age 83, resident of Whitehouse, Tex., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003.
Funeral services with military honors were held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 in the Burks-Walken-Tippet Funeral Home Chapel in Tyler, Tex., with Bishop Jeff Lowder officiating.
He was born Nov. 2, 1920 in Rigby, Idaho, to John “Jack” Richardson and Alice Velato Baker Richardson; was a rancher, a school teacher, the Junior Lightweight Golden Gloves boxing champion of Idaho; a World War II Air Force veteran serving in Wiesbaden, Germany; and retired from the Air Force at the rank of Master Sergeant. He was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Hildegard Bauer Richardson; his parents; and two brothers, William Richardson and Lee Richardson.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betty Richardson of Whitehouse, Tex.; a son, Ronald L. Richardson of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Gigi N. Beaton of Whitehouse, NC.; four grandsons, two step-daughters, Valisa David of Washington, Mo., and Robbie Killingswoth of Argyle; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Naomi Phillips
Mrs. Naomi Pace Phillips, age 79, a resident of Horatio, died Saturday, November 1, 2003 at her home.
She was born March 16, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of the Mt. Phebia Missionary Baptist Church in Horatio.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Annie Perkins Pace; one brother: Henry Pace, Jr.; and two infant sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Phillips; one daughter: Regenia Smith of Houston, Texas; six sisters: Ruth, Mattie, Ceretha, Essie, Ernestine and Joyce, all of Maumelle and Gold Lake, Arkansas; one brother: Harry Pace of Maumelle; four grand-children, one great-grandchild, her goddaughter: Debra Johnson of Horatio; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2003 in the Mt. Phebia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Sunset Acres cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Loyce Wendell Bailey Sr.
Loyce Wendell Bailey Sr., age 71, resident of Springdale, and formerly of Mena, died Monday, Feb. 17, 203 in Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 in Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Carl Staten and Elder Don Farris officiating. Internment will follow in Little Flock cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
He was born July 2, 1931 in Shongaloo, La., to Loy and Cora Etta Barge Bailey; was a Justice County Judge in Holtville, Calif., an under-sheriff with the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department in El Centro, Calif., retired from the California Highway Patrol; and worked for Wal-Mart in the loss prevention department for ten years.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Holtville, Calif.; a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict; and a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Bailey of Springdale; two sons, Loyce Wendell Bailey Jr. of Fayetteville and Daniel Bailey of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Storey and Mary Baker, both of Holtville, Calif.; one step-son, Phillip Chaney of Auburn, Ala.; two sisters, Joyce Bledsoe of Bentonville and Nelda Guthery of Lindsey, Okla.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Memorials may be made to The Congested Heart Failure Clinic, Springdale, AR 72764.

Barbara Ann Coleman
Mrs. Barbara Ann Coleman, age 50, resident of Alleene, died Thursday, Nov. 6, in Little River Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 in the Lighthouse Church at Lockesburg with Rev. Buster Dellinger officiating. Burial followed in Belleville cemetery under the direction of Wilker-son Funeral Home, De Queen.
She was born Jan. 30, 1953 in Nashville; was a certified nurses assistant; a former employee of Pleasant Manor Nursing Home; and a member of Lighthouse Church in Lockesburg. She was predeceased by her father, Burlon Young.
She is survived by her husband, Lonzo Coleman; three sons, Earnest Coleman of Ben Lomond, Robert Coleman of Alleene, and Sam Coleman of Nashville; one daughter, Jeannie Dobbins of Ashdown; her mother, Royalene Jester Young of Lockesburg; one sister, Sally Parson of Lockesburg; one brother, C.L. Young of Ashdown; and 10 grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at the funeral home.
