Ena Mae Hartsell

Ena Mae Hartsell, age 81, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana died Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at Willis Knighton Hospital. She was born June 16, 1922 in Waldo, Arkansas. Mrs. Hartsell was a beautician and a member of the Plain Dealing Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hartsell on December 4, 2000.

Survivors include: one son & daughter-in-law, Donald C & Patricia Hartsell of Santo, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Yuvonne H & Robert Dison of Springhill, LA and Antoinette & Don Thomas of Plain Dealing; one sister, Sue Knighton of Stamps, AR; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at The Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Alvin Swain officiating and burial in the Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Darrin Parker

Michael Darrin Parker, 31, of Brandon, Florida, died Friday, March 23, 2001.
He was born Oct. 10, 1969, in North Little Rock, Ark., the son of Howard L. Parker and Loretta Marcrum Parker. He was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church of Brandon, Florida.
Other survivors include one sister, Melisa and her husband, Stephen Kimbleton and one nephew, Parker Rex Kimbleton, all of Ashburn, Virginia; his grandmother, Faye Parker of North Little Rock; his uncle and aunt, Virgil and Diane Marcrum of Republic, Missouri; three cousins, Cathy Phelps of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Christy Scott of Denver, Colorado, and Elizabeth Dary of Adrian, Missouri; a very special friend, Candis Killebrew of Brandon, Florida, and a number of close relatives.
Graveside services were held Monday, April 2, 2001, at Smyers Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Corder officiating and members of the family participating. Burial arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.

Harold Haygood Sr.

Harold Thomas “Corkey” Haygood Sr., 69, of Morrilton died Saturday, March 31, 2001.
He was of the Methodist faith. He received his BSE from Henderson State University and a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He was a retired school administrator and former football coach. He was the son of the late Harold Haygood and Mollie Harkins.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta Haygood; two sons, Harold Thomas Haygood Jr., of Killeen, Texas, and William Robert Haygood of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Holly Balducci of Conway; and nine grandchildren.
A graveside service was at Forest Hills Cemetery, 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Jim McKay officiating. Burial was by Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth.

William Franklin

William L. Franklin, 52, of Minneapolis, Minn., died Monday, March 26, 2001.
He was a son of the late Walter M. Franklin and Phena D. Huffman Franklin.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Franklin of Hot Springs; one daughter, Karen Malone of Bigelow; one sister, Kathy Hamilton of Russellville; one brother, Jerry Franklin of Dallas, Texas; and two grandsons.
No services were planned. The body was cremated.

Margaret Jones

Margaret Jones, 73, of Riverview community died Wednesday, March 28, 2001.
She was born in Mabelvale, Dec. 18, 1927, a daughter of Charles and Adena Turley Lemmer. She was retired from The Log Cabin Democrat and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Adena Mourot, Rae Walker and Carolyn Windham, all of Oppelo, Margaret Moore of Scott, and Charlotte Cagnetti of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, Paul D. Jones of Bigelow; two sisters, Mary Barber and Betty Jane Webber, both of Little Rock; one brother, Daniel Lemmer of North Little Rock; 19 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jim McKay. Burial was at Wolf Cemetery in Oppelo.
Pallbearers were Robert Mourot, Charlie Mourot, Joe Walker, Greg Walker, Jeff Windham, Michael Windham, J.P. Cody, Walter Moore, Dennis Jones, and Robert Jones.

Letha Lemley

Letha Lemley, 91, of Morrilton died Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
She was born in Atkins, Aug. 15, 1909, a daughter of Will and Mattie Hamm Lemley. She was a member of Morrilton Downtown Church of Christ.
There were no immediate survivors.
Funeral services were Thursday, 2 p.m., at Downtown Church of Christ by Mickey Burleson. Burial was at Atkins Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Memorials may be made to Morrilton Downtown Church of Christ.

Valare Lynch

Valare Penzel Medlock Lynch, age 82, of Morrilton died Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
She was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Scotland, a daughter of Bob and Luler Thompson Medlock. Mrs. Lynch was the widow of Othel Clint Lynch and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lynde Lynch of Shirley, and Dennie Lynch of Morrilton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Williams officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Walter Etheridge, Audie Lynch, Ralph Huett, Danny Story, Danny Bennett, and Robert Summers.

Timothy Freeman

Timothy Jim Daniel Freeman, 29, of Center Ridge died Saturday, March 31, 2001.
He was born July 2, 1971, in Morrilton, a son of Edward Freeman and Margaret Boyer Freeman Noakes. Mr. Freeman was a surveyor and inspector for the Highway Department and a member of Grandview Church of Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Boyer Noakes of Center Ridge; four brothers, Steve Freeman, Andy Freeman, Randy Freeman, and David Freeman, all of Center Ridge; paternal grandmother, Emogine Freeman of Center Ridge; and maternal grandfather, Lester Boyer of Clinton.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at Grandview Church of Christ with Mr. Bruce Bryant officiating. Burial was at Grandview Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Ed Hart, Jayson Smith, Mike Hendricks, William Bartlett, Mike Lyon, Kevin Poteete, Brian Roberson, Tony Freeman, and Donald McCoy.
