Mary Edith Sexton (06/15/06)
Mary Edith Sexton, 86, of Horseshoe Bend died June 2, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Lambert F. and Beartice Leadabrand Albright. She was united in marriage to Arthur Sexton on Jan. 29, 1938, in Springfield, Mo., and to this union six children were born.

Hazel Pedigo Hubbard (06/15/06)
Hazel Pedigo Egeler Hubbard died June 4, 2006. She was at home under Hospice care. In recent years she lived in Amherst, New York with her daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Barbara Parnell Kane. Prior to her stay in New York, she lived in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with her son, Marvin Pedigo, his wife Brenda, and family.

Hurbelee "Hub" Everett (06/15/06)
Hurbelee "Hub" Everett, son of the late Joseph Ralph Everett and Nellie Frances Couch Everett, was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Forty-Four, Ark. He died May 30, 2006, in Batesville, at the age of 85. He served in the United States Army During World War II. After serving in France, Normandy and Rhineland, he was honorably discharged.

Luke McDuffee (06/22/06)
Luke McDuffee, age 88, of Cave City died June 14, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Bethesda, Ark., the son of the late William Joseph and Lenora (Manion) McDuffee. He was a retired truck driver was a teamster for 28 years. He was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II.

Clifford Tackett (06/22/06)
Clifford Tackett, 56, of Cave City died June 16, 2006, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Feb. 14, 1950 at Cave City, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Nellie Humbrecht of Cave City, and Rosemary Leslie of Weavers Chapel; three grandchildren, Cody Tackett and Emily Humbrecht, both of Cave City, and Micah Lesley of Weavers Chapel; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Loyd Calvin Jackson (06/22/06)
Lloyd Calvin Jackson, son of the late Jesse Elisha Jackson and Stella Mae Moore Jackson, was born Feb. 2, 1936 in Ballard, Ark. He died June 15, 2006, in Mountain Home, at the age of 70. Jackson worked as a heavy equipment operator, welder, mechanic and farmer.

Wanda Colene Cochran (06/22/06)
Colene (Rowden) Cochran was born on Feb. 14, 1937, to Remmel and Verneen Rowden in Oxford, Ark., the eldest of six children, After marrying at the age of 16, she moved to Washington with her husband Sam. She was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ. She worked in a variety of jobs including Realtor.

Blanche Leona Martin (06/22/06)
Blanche Leona Martin of Salem, daughter of the late Franklin Mooney and Birty Hall Mooney, was born March 30, 1914, in Heart, Ark. She died June 15, 2006, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 92. She was united in marriage to Leslie Martin on June 20, 1957, at Oxford, Ark. She baby-sat for many years for several different children. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.

Paul Dennis Baldridge (06/22/06)
Paul Dennis Baldridge of Mammoth Spring died June 15, 2006, at his home in Mammoth Spring at the age of 44. He was born June 29, 1961, in Mammoth Spring the son of Elvern and Rachel (Price) Baldridge. He was united in marriage on Oct. 17, 1998, in Mammoth Spring to Rhonda Wilkerson.

Jackie Lee Helton (06/22/06)
Jackie Lee Helton, of Elizabeth, Ark., son of the late John and Wanda Lavern (Martin) Helton, was born on April 8, 1938, in Kansas City, Kan. He died June 15, 2006, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 68. Helton was united in marriage to Hazel Aleen Willis on March 19, 1964, at Miami, Okla., and to this union, two sons were born.

Roy Floyd Phelps (06/22/06)
Roy Floyd Phelps of Salem, son of the late Farce Washington and Lydia Joann Murphy Phelps, was born on Aug. 20, 1926 in Heart, Ark. He died June 12, 2006, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 79. He was united in marriage to Betty Louise Meek on Oct. 9, 1951, at Visilia, Calif., and to this union one daughter was born.

Lowell Duane Lemon (06/22/06)
Lowell Duane Lemon, age 58, of Mebelvale died June 3, 2006, in Benton. He was born March 10, 1948, in Beloit, Kan. He was a security training officer at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association Bikers Aiming Toward Education (ABATE).

Lester Earl Minor (06/22/06)
Lester Earl Minor, age 70, of Harrison, died June 12, 2006, at NARMC in Harrison. He was the son of Marvin and Myrtus Williams Minor and was born March 9, 1936, at Ballard, Ark. He had lived in Harrison five years moving there from Ash Flat. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, enjoyed farming, fishing and squirrel hunting as his hobbies. He was employed as a carpenter.

Arthur Fred Luedders (06/22/06)
Arthur Fred Luedders, of Cherokee Village died at his home June 12, 2006, at the age of 77. He was born Nov. 22, 1928, at Herkimer, Kan., the son of the late Herman and Sophia Niemeier Luedders. He graduated with a B.A. from Concordia Teachers' College in Seward, Neb., in 1951, and received his master's degree from Washburn University, Topeka, Kan., in 1965.

Faye Day Lewis (06/29/06)
Faye Day Lewis, 70, of Ash Flat died June 19, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born April 7, 1936, at Batesville the daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Hightower) Shaver. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Jerry Kenneth Montgomery of Silva, Mo.; one daughter, Jenny Faye Koch of Cave City; two granddaughters, Audra Baker and Cassidi Roberts, both of Hot Springs; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eleanor "Granny" Davis (06/29/06)
Eleanor "Granny" Davis, died June 22, 2006, at Ash Flat Nursing Center in Ash Flat at the age of 96. She was born June 30, 1909, in Burnham, Mo., the daughter of the late Coon Wait Williamson and Mary Jane (Wood) Williamson. She was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1923, in Hardy to Carmel Gilbert Davis who preceded her in death March 29, 1968.

Opal Crabtree Crow, 89, of Batesville, died June 21, 2006, in Batesville. She was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Cave City, the daughter of the late Charles Luther Crabtree and Roxie Brewer Crabtree. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children. She went to singing school as a young lady and taught her children to sing.

Wanda Lavern Risner died June 21, 2006, at her home in Thayer at the age of 61. She was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of the late Archie Wallace Lawson and Alma Lucille (Ward) Lawson. She was united in marriage March 30, 1961, to W.C. Risner Jr.
