Grace Irene Lanman, age 85, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 8, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. Tri-County Funeral Home, Highland, Ark. Margarete Fern Smith, 93, of Camp, Ark., died May 12, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.

Dolores J. Doemland, 103, Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 6, 2009, at Ash Flat, Ark. Tri-County Funeral Home, Highland, Ark.

James E. Schultz Sr. (04/30/09)
James E. Schultz Sr., 88, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died April 22 at his home. He was born June 8, 1920, at Moline, Ill., the son of Fred P. and Kathryn E. (Snyder) Schultz. He was U.S. Coast Guard veteran having served during World War II and was a retired machinist for Northrop Grumman in California.

Norma Wiles, 95, of Hardy, Ark., died April 23, 2009, at the Stone County Nursing Home in Mountain View, Ark. She was born May 9, 1913, at Ash Flat, Ark., the daughter of the late William Otto and Fannie Paralee Biggers. She was homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hardy.

Esther Louise McGuire, 98, of Poughkeepsie, Ark., died April 21, 2009, at her home. She was born Aug. 5, 1910, at Medicine Lodge, Kan., the daughter of the late George W. and Eula (Fife) Colborn. She was married to Burt McGuire Aug. 29, 1933, at Medicine Lodge, Kan.

Herbert Lee Risner (04/30/09)
Herbert Lee Risner of Mammoth Spring, Ark., was born July 13, 1927, the son of the late Robert Lewis Risner and Mary Aline Hall Risner in Ravenden, Ark. He died April 18, 2009, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., at the age of 81. He was married Nov. 1, 1947 in Pocahontas, Ark. to Joyce Cotham.

Tammy Lynn Healy, 44, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Mammoth Spring, Ark., was born June 21, 1964, in Memphis, Tenn., and died April 16, 2009, at her home. She is survived by: her mother, Kathryn Healy; one sister, Barbara Cooper and husband Peter; her maternal grandmother, Myrle Swope; three cousins, Brian Davis and wife Lee, Carla Davis Cash and husband, Patrick, all of Mammoth Spring, and Tina Ward and husband, Alan of Cordova, Tenn.; two aunts, Frances Davis of Mammoth Spring and Marilyn Hobbs of Memphis; numerous other relatives.

Walter Cyril Ruuska (04/30/09)
Walter Cyril Ruuska, 91, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died April 21, 2009, a the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. He was born March 1, 1918, at Two Harbors, Minn., the son of Julius and Olga (Kemppainer) Ruuska. He was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include: his wife, Pearl Ruuska of the home; a son, C. Gene Ruuska of Cherokee Village; a daughter, Linda Welsh of Ohio; a brother, Waino Ruuska of Eerie, Pa.; a sister, Vieno Borg of Grand Rapids, Minn.; five grandchildren, Kevin Ruuska of Alexandria, Va., Keri Flatten of Hartland Wis., Kyla Outlaw of Floral and Douglas Welsh and Daniel Welsh both of Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.

William Harold Jarrett
September 21, 1937 - April 19, 2009
William Harold Jarrett, 71, of Salem, AR, formerly of Earle, AR, passed away Sunday April 19, 2009 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, AR. He is survived by tow sons, David Jarrett of Harrisburg, AR and Calvin Jarrett of West Memphis, AR; two daughters, Cynthia Kirk of Raymer, TN and Mary Ellen Munoz of Tyronza, AR; one sister, Beulah Johnson of Westphalia, KS; one brother, Roy Jarrett of Ft. Smith, AR; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The visitation will be Thursday April 23, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR with the service Friday April 24, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with interment in Crittenden Memorial Park.

Beatrice Marie Aldridge (04/30/09)
Beatrice Marie Aldridge, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late James Henry Johnson and Ruth Spybuck Johnson, was born April 25, 1922, in Ottawa, Kan. She died April 22, 2009, at Gassville Nursing Center in Gassville, at the age of 86. She was united in marriage to Glenn Aldridge on Sept. 13, 1953, in Salem. She was a nurse, and the first nurse to be employed by Fulton County Hospital when it opened it's doors in 1963. She was a member of Henderson Baptist Church.

Infant Jaycee Dawn Wallace, of Salem, Ark., is survived by: Amber Wallace and Clay Freeman of the home in Salem and David Williams of Salem; one brother, Daylon Williams of Salem; one sister, Kelsi Williams of Salem; grandparents, Nana Darlene McKenzie of Salem, Trish Kates of Springfield, Mo., and Paul and Diane Russom of Oxford; aunt and uncle, Cliff and Brittany Davidson of Salem; cousins, Kayla Wallace, Dakota Gestring and Erika Davidson; and many other relatives and friends.

Betty Lea (Traw) Whited, 66, of Evening Shade, Ark., died April 25, 2009, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Maggie Iola (Athey) Traw. She was married to Junior Glenn Whited on May 9 1959. She was a CNA, a homemaker and an active member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ.

Lolita Herstedt, of Cherokee Village, Ark., daughter of the late Charles Hanssen and Clara Alfreda Bengston Hanssen, was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Moline, Ill. She died April 18, 2009, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 91. During her working years, she was employed by McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Manufacturing Company.

Herbert Henry Radtke (04/30/09)
Herbert Henry Radtke, 92, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., son of the late Gustav Frederick and Amanda Marie (Stahlmann) Radtke, was born May 9, 1916, in Lombard, Ill. He died April 24, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark. Herbert was united in marriage to Bernice Louise Frega in 1948, at Lombard, Ill. He spent his working years as a maintenance worker for the American Can Company. Herbert served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Jerry Lee Crouch, of Wiseman, Ark., son of the late Author Ernest Crouch and Mary Leona Moser Crouch was born May 20, 1939, in Wiseman. He died April 25, 2009, at the age of 69. Jerry was united in marriage to Connie G. Wallis on Nov. 13, 1959 in Ash Flat, Ark., and to this union two sons were born.

Billy K. Tate (03/12/09)
Billy K. Tate of Melbourne, Ark, son of the late E.W. Tate and Clara Twilly Tate, was born Feb. 2, 1936 in Lafferty, Ark. He died on Feb. 27, 2009, in Batesville, Ark., at the age of 73 years. He was united in marriage to Vida Banks on July 13, 1960, and to this union four children were born.
