Dale M. Mills
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, for Dale M. Mills, 39, of Cedarville, whose body was found Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery near Uniontown under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Mills was a graduate of Cedarville High School with the Class of 1981, of the Pentecostal faith and a service technician for Sears.
Survivors include one daughter, Sailon Shay Vernessa Mills of Cedarville; three sons, Darren and Kendale Mills, both of Fort Smith, and J.M. “John Morton” Mills of Cedarville; his mother, Enda Brown Mills of Van Buren; stepfather, Truman Brown of Van Buren; five sisters, Shelba Brooks, Judy Isenhower, Jan Rofkahr, Yvonne Prescott and Della Goins, all of Van Buren; four brothers, John and Jeryl Mills of Uniontown, Danile Mills of Cedarville and David Mills of Bonanza; one half brother, Johnny Lee Mills of Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Mills, Roger Wheless, Doug Morton, Zack Morton, Randy Tankersley and Roscoe Hill.
The family will visit with friends at the home of Yvonne Prescott, 2300 Lexington Drive, Van Buren, and at 11 a.m. Thursday following the funeral at Butterfield Assembly of God Church, 1302 N. 30th St., Van Buren.

Edward Young
Edward Harrison Young, 74, of Mountainburg, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at a local nursing home. He was a retired employee of Kay Chair Co. and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; three daughters, Linda McJunkin of Springdale, Bonnie Owen of El Dorado, Kan., and Debra Denniston of Deer; three sisters, Edessa Ridenoure and Lucille DeVore, both of Mountainburg, and Sylvia Webb of Arlington, Texas; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Jan. 18 at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Conley Cemetery in Mountainburg.
Pallbearers were Bobby, Rick and Christopher Denniston, Bernie Owen, Rodney Henson and Jack Young.

Lee Roy Stockton
Lee Roy Stockton, 75, of Van Buren, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at a local hospital. He was a retired painter and insulator at Sparks Regional Medical Center, an Army veteran of World War II and attended the Church of Christ.
Memorial service was held Jan. 21 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren with burial of ashes at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. The body was cremated.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor; two daughters, Linda Rhodes of Springdale and Karen McKinley of Van Buren; a brother, Cletus Stockton; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Audrey Arnold
Audrey Arnold, 81, of Los Angeles, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003. She was a native of Van Buren.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Feit of Garden Grove, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service conducted by Pastor Coleman McDuff was held Jan. 8 at Full Gospel Assembly of God Church in Bell Gardens, Calif., where she had been a member for more than 50 years.

Ronald Hopkins
Ronald Dean Hopkins, 51, of Van Buren, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2003, at his home. He attended Van Buren First Assembly of God Church and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Gerber Products and raced in the IMCA modified class at local speedways.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Hopkins; one daughter, Demi Hopkins of the home; one stepdaughter, Jada Moses of the home; two sons, Ronald Hopkins Jr. and Billy Hopkins, both of Oklahoma; one sister, Linda Phillips of Fort Smith; one brother, Paul Pollock of Fort Smith; three grandsons and one granddaughter.
Funeral service was held Jan. 18 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Dripping Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gerber employees.

Reba Smith
Reba Smith, 82, of Kibler, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at her home. She was retired from General Electric, a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and the widow of Claude R. Smith Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, LaDonna Moon of Kibler, Janie Lovell of Perryville and Allyson Crabtree of Alma; three sons, Darrel Smith of Marietta, Ga., Mike Smith of Kibler and Barry Smith of Fort Smith; a sister, Irene Burns of Fort Smith; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Jan. 21 at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Mallory and Billy Gallagher, Terry Graves, Tim Smith, Guy Moon and Clay Ramsey.

Nora Lamproe
Nora Faye Lamproe, 76, of Uniontown, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, in Uniontown. She was a homemaker and widow of Raymond Z. Lamproe.
Survivors include two daughters, Lela Faye Stevens of Roland and Dovie Lamproe of Fort Smith; four sons, Raymond B. Lamproe of Cedarville, Rallin John Lamproe and Will James Lamproe, both of Uniontown, and Joe D. Lamproe of Roland; two sisters, Mary Reed and Dorothy Dean Reed, both of Van Buren; John D. Lowery of Shady Grove, Ore., and Lee Vernon Lowery of Van Buren; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Feb. 19 at Bryant Cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tony Floyd, Calvin Phillips, James Parmenter, Daniel Lamproe, Jeff Edwards and Butch Floyd. Honorary pallbearers were her brothers-in-law and grandchildren.

Clarence Wilcox
Clarence Wilcox, 88, of Dyer died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at an area nursing home. He was the widower of Eva M. Wilcox and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Mr. Wilcox fought in the Philippines for two years and was awarded several commendations including the bronze star, combat infantryman’s badge, the Philippine independence ribbon, the good conduct medal and two overseas service bars. He also was a 32nd-degree Mason and was a Democratic Central Committeeman in Crawford County for 35 years.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Claudie Hatley of Dyer; and two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Melissa and Ricky Belk of Alma and Lynne and Steve Echols of Fort Smith. He also is survived by a great-grandsons and great-granddaughter-in-law, Ricky II and Julie Belk; and six other great-grandchildren, Joshua Belk of Lavaca, Dustin Glover, Austin Brammer and Matthew Belk, all of Alma; and Laura Beth Echols and Jarrod Echols, both of Fort Smith.
Funeral service was held Jan. 21 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Burial with Masonic gravside rites was at New Cemetery in Mulberry.
Active pallbearers were his great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Louis McFarland, Ray Porter, Jake Dyer, Joe Beckham, Joe Kincy, Tom House, Joel Dyer, John Wilcox, Don Wilcox, Dickey Pannell, Billy Gale Morse, Matthew Hankins and Frank Rhodes.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Western Arkansas, 320 N. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith 72901.
