Wallace Trentham
Wallace W.D. Trentham, 76, of the England Hollow Community, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002.
He was a retired Navy veteran, retired from Franklin Electric and a farmer.
Survivors include five sons, Darrel Trentham of Laft, Okla., Daniel Trentham of Horseshoe Bend, Ronnie Trentham and Bill Trentham, both of Stilwell, Okla., and David Trentham of Brea, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Shelby, Brittney, Gavin, Alicia, Kyla, Kelsey and Colby; two brothers, Denver Trentham of Natural Dam, Jay Trentham of Evansville; one sister, Anna Jean Blake of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.

J.D. Morton
J.D. Morton, 77, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died Saturday, July 6, 2002. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Jake Diel Construction Co.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; two sons, Larry of Fort Worth, Texas, and Layne of Amarillo; two sisters, Margie Whitfield of Kibler and Edith Crowder of Yuba City, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Brian Morton of Fort Worth and Kayla and Shelby Morton, both of Amarillo.
Funeral and burial will be in Amarillo under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home of Amarillo. Local arrangements are by Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Aubry Boze
Aubry Lee Boze, 71, of Van Buren, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a member of the Catholic Church, president of Cedars Country Club, a Marine Corps veteran of the Korea War, a member of the River Valley Pro-AM Association and the USGA, a life member of the Knights of Columbus and a charter member of the Arkansas Turf Grass Association.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; his sons, Mike Boze of Fort Smith and Chris Boze of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Patrick Boze and Sherri Bradley, both of Fort Smith, and Courtney and Rachel Boze, both of Van Buren; and two great-grandchildren.
A rosary service was held July 9 at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Funeral Mass was held July 9 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Chris Boze, Michael Boze and Patrick Boze, Skip Hendricks, Evan Hendricks and Bruce Klomfas.

Mary Jane Wood
Mary Jane Wood, 64, of Cedarville, died Sept. 19, 2002, at a local hospital. She was a member of Cedarville First Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; two daughters, Barbara Johnson and Gwenna Jones, both of Cedarville; one sister, Ruby Fain of Natural Dam; one brother, Ernest Ellison of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sept. 23 at Cedarville First Baptist Church. Burial was at Hall Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Dave Witt, Dwight Payne, Randy Payne, Pete Fain, Ryan Cobb and Theador Lindsey.

Buddy Campbell
Buddy D. Campbell, 68, of Van Buren, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a retired master sergeant in the Air Force and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sisters, Lucille Wehunt of Anderson, Calif., and Betty Davis of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Joey Campbell of San Rafael, Calif.; and niece and nephews.
Graveside service was held Sept. 23 at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Wanda Smith
Wanda Louise Huffstetler Smith, 74, of Mulberry, died Monday, July 8, 2002. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for Sequoyah East Nursing Home in Roland.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Adams of Swansboro, N.C., Patricia Huffstetler of Henrietta, Okla., and Marsha Yasin of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sons, Steve Huffstetler of Lavaca and Billy Huffstetler of Van Buren; two sisters, Shirley Hall of Van Buren and Donna Cline of Ozark; three brothers, Travis Williams of Mulberry, Jerry Williams of Independence, Mo., and James Williams of Fort Smith; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at New Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be David Cagle, Patrick Huffstetler, Stevie Joe Huffstetler, Joshua Huffstetler, Jafar Yasin, Oscar Pena, Hosifa Yasin, Jacob Huffstetler and B.J. Huffstetler.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lon Melton w/mug
Lon F. Melton, 77, of Mulberry, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired electrician, a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Mulberry and the I.B.E.W. Union.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Gail Turner of Mulberry and Gayla McKenzie of Claremore, Okla.; four sons, Dan Melton of Minnesota, David Melton of New York, Don Melton of Texas and David Smalley of Mulberry; his mother, Pauline Melton of Oklahoma; a sister, Marcia Jamison of Oklahoma; two brothers, James and William Melton, both of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held July 10 at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma. Burial was at Rankin Cemetery in Franklin County with military honors.
Pallbearers were Jimmy McKenzie, Jim Melton, Allen and Jonathon Turner, David Smalley, Terry Shepard and Robert Mathews.

Rickey McClure
Rickey Dale McClure, 52, of Van Buren, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a former member of the Army National Guard, a salesman for F&E Check Protector Co. and attended Catcher Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral service was held July 9 at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; two daughters, Ceri Foster of Pocola and Amanda McClure of Van Buren; two brothers, Dennis McClure of Sallisaw and Darrell Jan McClure of Van Buren; and two grandchildren, Danielle and Dayton Foster, both of Pocola.
Pallbearers were Frankie Kelley, David Boster, Bob Ross, Bill Law, Harlen Wagnon and Sam Oliver.
