Funeral services for David Vaughn Shores, Jr., 20, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday (Oct. 23, 2000) at St. Francis Catholic Church in Newkirk with Rev. Richard Beckman and Rev. Marvin Leven officiating. Interment was in the Newkirk Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Newkirk FFA. Contributions may be made through Eastman National Bank, Newkirk.

Graveside services for Karen Sue Brennan, 60, Mulvane, who died Friday (Oct. 20, 2000) were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday (Oct. 23, 2000) in the South Haven Cemetery with Chaplain David Harader officiating. Vivian L. Poole
Vivian L. Poole, 87, Winfield, died Sunday (Oct. 22, 2000) at the Good Samaritan Village in Winfield. There will be no funeral services. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical School for research.

Elizabeth I. Bailey, 75, Newton, died Thursday (Dec. 7, 2000) at the Newton Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2000) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. C. Kent Rogers of the Salem United Methodist Church of Newton will officiate. Interment will be in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. today and the family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
