Claire Ohlsen
(February 15, 1969 - February 15, 2012)

Claire Christine Walls Ohlsen, 43, of North Little Rock, passed away on February 15, 2012. She was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on February 15, 1969. Claire graduated from Sheridan High School. She attended UALR and Henderson State University. She is survived by her children Hayden and Will Ohlsen of Benton and her fiancé Mark Otis Stevens of North Little Rock. She is also survived by her parents Martha Fenwick, Richard and Denee Walls, her brothers, sisters and their spouses; Richard Walls Jr., Joe and Jodee Walls, Paige and Robert Yates, Jennifer Knoedl; her nephews and nieces Taylor, Cody and Joe Yates, Alex Walls, Charlie and Maddy Tull, Jacob and Grace Knoedl; her Aunt Francis, and cousins Gregory, Collette and Geoffery Gunter. Her laughter and her wit will be missed by all. Graveside services will be held in Arkadelphia, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Hill cemetery in Arkadelphia with Rev. James Calhoun officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society. Arrangements by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Harold Dean McKim
(December 6, 1936 - September 14, 2015)

Harold Dean McKim, age 78, of Donaldson, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home. He was born December 6, 1936 to Vernon Hulen and Edith Bradford McKim. Harold was a member of Fuller Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in North Little Rock where he served as a deacon. He retired from Southwestern Bell after twenty-six years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Grover and Danny McKim.

Survivors include his wife of over sixty years, Patsy Huneycutt McKim, three sons, Richard McKim and wife Sharon of Donaldson, Doug McKim and wife Karen of Sheridan, Paul McKim and wife Lisa of Ft. Smith, one sister, Lorene Prater of Maumelle, seven grandchildren, Jason McKim, Julie McKim, Mark McKim, Molly McKim, Chelsea McKim, Sydney McKim and Chloe McKim, and one great-grandson, Jaiden McKim.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, September 15th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 16th at Ouachita cemetery with Elder James Winston officiating.

Memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 1424 West Long 17th St., North Little Rock, AR. 72114.

James Dunlap
(March 27, 1951 - March 12, 2012)

James Dunlap age 60 of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Monday, March 12, 2012 at his home. He was born March 27, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Wesley and Ruth Amersbach Dunlap Sr. James was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors are his father and step mother, Wesley and Florence Dunlap Sr of Mayfield Heights, OH, one sister, Linda Stromple of Cleveland, OH, one brother, Wesley Dunlap Jr of Seminole, FL.

Memorial service 3:00 PM Saturday at Fioritto Funeral Home 5236 Mayfield Rd Lyndhurst, Ohio.

Visitation 12 noon until service time on Saturday at Fioritto Funeral Home.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Donald Leon Childers Sr.
(January 15, 1934 - October 12, 2011)

U.S. Veteran
Donald L. Childers Sr. age 77 of Delight died Wednesday, October 12. He was born January 15, 1934 in Pike County the son of J. B. and Lois Dixon Childers. He was retired Executive Director of the Odessa Youth Shelter in Odessa, TX and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Carol Childers and a brother James Terrell Childers.

Survivors include two sons, Donald L. Childers Jr. of Gresham, OR and James David Childers of Conway, AR. one daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Thompson and her husband William of McKinney, TX, one sister, Carrie Ruth Lockwood and her husband C. E. of Delight, AR and one granddaughter, Lauren Amanda Thompson.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19 at 10 AM in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Larry Miller and Rev. Larry Bloomfield officiating. Burial will be in the Delight cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 AM Wednesday till service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Delight cemetery Fund C/O James McKnight, 18 L&M; Lane, Delight, AR 71940.

Eula Mae Dixon
(June 29, 1928 - May 16, 2011)

Eula Mae Dixon age 82, of Camden, died Monday, May 16, 2011 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born June 29, 1928, the daughter of the late Carl and Virgie Tucker Sr. She was a member of the Cullendale First Baptist Church.

She was preceeded in death by a sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Grady Dixon, one son, Dicky Dixon of Murfreesboro, TN; two daughters, Debany Rowland and husband, Thomas of Lake Charles, LA; and Donya Miller of Suwanee, GA; one sister, Peggy Arnold of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Harts Chapel cemetery with Bro Phillip Salmon officiating. Visitation will be 6-9 P.M., Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Lorene Mary Walton
(May 25, 1938 - August 29, 2011)

Lorene Mary Jackson Walton, age 73, of Donaldson, died Monday, August 29, 2011 in Little Rock. She was born May 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Guy and Ella Mae Efird Jackson. She was a cook at Stillmeadow Nursing Home ( Arbor Oaks Nursing Home ) in Malvern for twenty years. Her husband, Archie Hanse Walton, preceded her in death.

Survivors include four sons, Archie Walton of Donaldson, Billy Walton of Tomball, Texas, twin sons, Alvin and Calvin Walton both of Donaldson; one daughter, Donna Patterson of Donaldson; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2011 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Hardin officiating.

Robert Lee McGill
(May 18, 1930 - June 9, 2012)

Robert L. McGill age 82 of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Okolona, AR, died Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was born May 18, 1930 in Okolona to Arch and Florie Peters McGill. He was a graduate of Okolona High School and was enlisted in the Air Force and Army from 1948 till 1953. He served one tour of duty in Japan during that time. Other than his time in the military, he was a lifelong resident of Clark County and the Okolona area. He worked for Reynolds Metals for 32 years as a millwright and plant maintenance foreman until his retirement in 1985. He and his wife Frances also operated a cattle farm near Okolona. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Clark McGill.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Frances Clark McGill, two sons, Paul McGill of Greensboro, GA and Robert McGill of Mayflower, AR, one daughter, Karen Kell of Nashville, AR, one brother, John Arch McGill of Spring, TX, one sister, Jean Marshall of Orange, TX and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, June 11th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Greg Burks Rev. Wade Shownes officiating. Burial will be in the Dobyville cemetery near Okolona. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Gurdon or Dobyville cemetery Fund c/o Becky Baumgardner, 3316 Hwy 53 N, Gurdon, AR 71743.

Ruthell Wood
(February 11, 1931 - March 9, 2012)

Ruthell Wood age 81 of Little Rock passed from this life on Friday, March 9, 2012 at her home. She was born February 11, 1931 in Bismarck the daughter of the late Wilburn Dennis and Rittie Mae Miller Thomas. Ruthell was a homemaker and a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband John Gordon Wood.

Ruthell is survived by her daughter Judy Ruth Woods of Little Rock, three sons, Wilburn (Barbara) Wood and James (Jeanette) Wood both of Little Rock and Richard (Meredith) Wood of Carmel, CA, one sister, Jean Hardage of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Tyler, Sean, Melissa, Johnathan and Olivia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 12, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia with Bro. Mark Harris officiating.

Interment will be in DeRoche cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday.

Memorials may be made to Unity Missionary Baptist Church Library Fund 1223 S. Garfield Little Rock, AR 72204.

Pallbearers are Hansel Keeton, Leslie Wood, Tyler Wood, Sean Wood, Johnathan Wood and Mike Blair.

Sheila Authement
(October 5, 1963 - February 27, 2012)

Sheila Reena Griffin Authement, age 48, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on October 5, 1963 in Lake Charles, LA, the daughter of the late Earnest Antoine and Agnes Reena Venable Griffin. Sheila was a tax preparer and a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Andrew Authement, two sons, Todd Griffin Authement of Searcy and Kenneth Shawn Authement of Las Vegas, three grandchildren, Christian, Jasper and Trinity and step grandchildren, Alyssa, Alynna and Jacob.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Lucille Purifoy
(October 21, 1920 - January 4, 2013)

Lucille Purifoy age 92 of Little Rock, formerly of Gurdon died Friday, January 4, 2013. She was born October 21, 1920 the daughter of Fines and Erma Story Jester. She was a retired Inspector with Hollywood Vasserette and a member of the Curtis Assembly of God Church. She was the widow of Hayes W. Purifoy.

Survivors are two sons, Dewayne Purifoy of Friendship and Edsel Purifoy of Gurdon, one daughter, Rhonda Stephen of Little Rock, three brothers, Clarence Jester of Arkadelphia, Allmon Jester of Curtis and James Jester of Pearcy, two sisters, Geraldine Frances of Malvern and Freda Vanlandingham of Hot Springs, seven grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, January 6th in the Harts Chapel cemetery with Kevin Jester officiating. Visitation will be from 1 PM Sunday till service time at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Debbie Hathcoat
(December 8, 1956 - April 5, 2015)

Debbie Hathcoat age 58 of Bismarck died Sunday April 5 2015, in Hot Springs. She was born December 8, 1956 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was an Optician.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Holly Beth Eubanks and her mother and father, Ken and Irene Prince.

Survivors are one daughter Stacy Marcotte (Eric) one granddaughter Madison Marcotte all of Little Rock, her father Bob Godwin of Hot Springs; her grandmother, Marie Prince of Bismarck; brothers and sisters, Linda Donahou of Hot Springs, Mike Godwin (Darlene), Eddie Godwin (Geneva) and Shirley Melton (Roger) all of Bismarck, Lisa Garrett (Billy) of Caddo Valley, Todd Prince (Marcie) of Glen Rose, step-brother Mike Prince(Shannon) of Arkadelphia, and eleven nieces and nephews.

Services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday April 8, 2015 in the Ruggles – Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. David Smith Officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Bower cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the Funeral Home.
