James C. Dixon

James C. Dixon, 69, of Russellville, died Saturday (July 26, 1997) at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 27, 1928 at Atkins to William and Myrtle Haralson Dixon; married Thelma Standridge Dixon on Sept. 5, 1948; was a forklift operator with ConAgra Frozen Foods; preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Myrtle Smith Dixon; a brother, L. D. Dixon and a sister, Audra Marie Dixon, and was a member of the Adoration Church in Atkins.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Standridge Dixon of Russellville; a son, James Glen Dixon of Russellville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Linda and Carl Price of Russellville, Brenda Dixon of Little Rock and Janie Dixon of Gosnell; a sister, Mary Lois Lewallen of Russellville; nine step-brothers and step-sisters; two grandchildren, Lisa and Scotty White of London and Karla Price of Russellville; a grandson, James Wheeler of Little Rock; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Tuesday morning at the Adoration Church by Bro. Charlie Casto and assisted by Rev. Clinton Reddell. Burial was in Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were Harold Bryant, Richard Fryer, Jim Hemmer, Larry Lewallen, Jimmy Cothren, Ricky Prater. Honorary were the Adoration Church.

Mary Keilch

Mrs. Mary Alice Keilch, 102, of Dardanelle died Monday (July 28, 1997) at Atkins Nursing Center.

She was born July 10, 1895 at Dover to Judge John H. and Mary A. Jones Bullock; a charter member of Dardanelle Business and Professional Women's Club and a member of the Russellville chapter of American Association of Retired Persons and Dardanelle Presbyterian Church, where she served as deacon, teaching elder and president of the women's organization; she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. "Buddy" Keilch; a son, Richard F. Keilch Jr.; a daughter, Alice Mae McCarson and a granddaughter, Patricia Rose Keilch.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Pat Keilch of Little Rock; a daughter, Mrs. John L. Meyer of Winlock, Wash.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at Dardanelle Presbyterian Church by Rev. Nancy Covington. Burial will be in Brearley cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Service.

Ruth Graham

Ruth Teague Graham, 80, a resident of Russellville, died Sunday, Oct. 22, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1920 in Atkins to Wheeler and Margaret "Maggie" Arnold Teague. She married Jack Graham on May 28, 1938 and was a retired employed of International Shoe Company in Russellville.

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband, and three brothers, Murray, Roy and Rayburn Teague. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacque Graham Chronister of Russellville; Carolyn Graham Shamy of Lake Hurst, NJ; Barbara Graham Sbrilli of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Ruby Tackett and Reba Chenowith, both of Russellville; a sister-in-law, Sybil Teague of Atkins; and five grandchildren, Linli Hemric of Edmond, Okla., Stephen Shamy of South River, N.J., Suzanna Najjar of Milltown, N.J., Christian Sbrilli of Berlin, Germany and Graham Chronister, Fayetteville, Ark.; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Rye, Donald Keene, Rye and Bob Bailey, John Price, Steve Chenowith and Vernon Jones.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Humphrey Chapel and will be officiated by the Rev. Gerald Chenowith. Burial will be at the Wash Duvall cemetery at the Gum Log Community under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Harold Willliams

Harold E. Williams, 61, of Hector, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at his home.

He was a retired mail clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Russellville, and son of the late Elbert and Chloe May Bartlett Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Williams; a son, Steve Williams of Russellville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Teresa and Kerry Powers of Dover, and Sandy Johnson of Hector; two brothers, James Williams of Alread and Jerry Williams of Hector; a sister, Norma Bolen of Russellville; and three grandsons, Trey Johnson and Caleb and Jace Mikel Powers.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday at Hector Assembly of God Church by the Rev. C.K. Bull. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers: Active -- Doug Williams, the Rev. Ray Cossey, Rev. Randall Williams, Kenneth Pirtle, Harold McGowan and the Rev. Darwin Barnhouse.

Honorary -- employees of the Russellville Post Office.

Clara Williams

Clara Bell Williams, 90, a resident of Dover, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Dover.

She was born Sept. 6, 1912, at Dover to the late John Henry and Minnie Bell Goates Proctor. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Williams; two brothers, Lewis and Luther Proctor; and a sister, Cora M. Proctor Warnick.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carnetta Williams, Raymon and Donna Williams, Leamon and Lilly Williams, and Aubrey and Della Williams all of Dover; two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenna and Bill Freeman of Russellville, and Anna Faye and Bill LaRue of Dover; 16 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Jan. 25, at the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Kenny Partain officiating. Burial was in the Booger Hollow cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers were the grandsons, Gary Freeman, Jerry Freeman, Randy LaRue, Jeff Williams, Steve Williams, and Ronnie Williams.

Honorary pallbearers were the grandsons-in-law.

Margaret Patton

Mrs. Margaret C. Patton, 79, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 14, 1917, at Lamar, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Gus and Caroline Louise Drittler Schlafke and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary at Coal Hill and East Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Patton; three sons, Dennis Patton of Little Rock, Kenneth Patton of Russellville and Terry Patton of London; a daughter, Christine Shoening of Kearney, Neb.; a brother, Charles Schlafke of Oregon; two sisters, Eula Cable of Omaha, Neb., and Bertha Holman of Lamar; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Mount Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Robbie Jackson. Burial was in Stillwell cemetery by Hardwicke Funeral Service.

Raymond King

Raymond King, former Pottsville resident and son of the late Bill and Minnie Teeter King, died in Texas.

He was born Dec. 24, 1914, at Pottsville and died July 11, 1997, at Round Rock, Tex., north of Austin, Tex. He had formerly lived at Austin. He was a retired pharmacist and member of the Round Rock, Tex., United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a wife, Martha and two children, also two sisters, Rhea and Hazel of Texas. He was a brother of the late Wade King.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, at a Georgetown, Tex., cemetery by Rev. Bobby Hinkleman. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church building fund in Round Rock, Tex.

Julius Ivy

Julius Ivy, 85, of Tilly, died Friday, May 9, 1997, at Russellville.

He was born April 25, 1912, at Tilly. He was bus driver.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Ivy; a son, Arlen Ivy of Russellville; a daughter, Juanita Godfrey of Tilly; a brother, Elva Godfrey of California, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Hill cemetery. Burial was by Roller-Coffman Funeral Service of Marshall.
