Mrs. Billie Chamberlain

Mrs. Billie J. Chamberlain, 75, of Lamar died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was a daughter of the late Pearl J. and Georgie Warren Brown, widow of Orville Glenwood Chamberlain, and a school bus driver.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Kellison of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Andrea Rowell of Anchorage, Alaska; one son, Glenn Chamberlain of Palmer, Alaska; one sister, Mary Simpson of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.

Frankie L. Walker

Frankie Lyvonne Walker, 63, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at his home.
He was retired from the U. S. Navy and son of the late Richard Walker.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Annie L. Walker; and one nephew, Joe Tommy Hendricks of Coal Hill.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Coal Hill cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jessie Hattabaugh

Mrs. Jessie D. Hattabaugh, 76, of Knoxville died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, in Russellville Nursing Center.
A native of Hickeytown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Adam and Mary Jane Drummond Burton, widow of Cleo Hattabaugh, and attended the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Waite and Betty Box, both of Knoxville, and Linda Harrison of London; one son, Danny Hattabaugh of Knoxville; one sister, Alta Hunnicutt of Lamar; two brothers, Joe Burton and Willard Burton, both of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Melissa Baskin of Clarksville, Anissa Williams of Russellville, Nashamanie Fuller of Van Buren, Shawna Hattabaugh of Knoxville, and Chasity Harrison of London; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Dunn and Rev. Alvin Berg officiating. Burial was in Knoxville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Ray Parker, Junior Freeman, Arvel Parker, Pete Nichols, Bob Nichols, and Danny Selby.

Mrs. Juanita Kimbrel

Mrs. Juanita Elizabeth Kimbrel, 67, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Oakland Street Church and daughter of the late Errol and Pearl Atkins Farris.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Kimbrel; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eddie and Dianne Kimbrel of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Kenny Kimbrel of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Emma Freeman and Betty Park, both of Clarksville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Oakland Street Church with Rev. Carl Sory officiating.
Burial was in Mossville cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Eddie Kimbrel, Kenny Kimbrel, Darin Vaughn, Daryl Vaughn, Brian Vaughn, Barry Vaughn, and Toy Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearer was Eddie Arnold Kimbriel.

Mrs. Marie Hester

Mrs. Marie Hester, 82, of Knoxville died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church, widow of Charles F. Hester, and daughter of the late Vince Duncan and Mytie Edith Easley West.
She is survived by four daughters and one son-in-law, Patsy Rogers of Russellville, Vivian and Larry Cox of Loganville, Ga., Bonnie Hester of Palm Beach, Fla., and Doris Hester of Arlington, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and June Hester of Knoxville, Wilbur L. and Alta Hester of Danville, and Howard F. and Sherry Hester of Palestine, Texas; three sisters, Billie Fly of Conroe, Texas, Ella May Cox of Victoria, Texas, and Janie Reid of Porter, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blair officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Opal Mayhew

Mrs. Opal Mayhew, 89, of Lamar died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Deer, she was a daughter of the late William and Floy Ellen Dobbs Sparks, widow of Luther Mayhew, attended the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by two sons, Hartsell Mayhew and W. (Lucky) Mayhew, and one daughter, Joyce Mayhew.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Millie Mayhew of Morrilton, N. C. (Butch) and Linda Mayhew of Dover, and Carol Mayhew of Homer, Ill.; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Jerry Riess of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, William R. Sparks of Lamar; four sisters, Emma Enboden, Ruby Baker, Desty Miller, and Nova Rhodes; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Bob Freeman officiating. Burial was in Phoenix cemetery at Moreland.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Ollie B. Phillips

Mrs. Ollie Byrl Phillips, 91, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired school teacher, member of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, widow of James M. Phillips, and daughter of the late Nathaniel K. and Amanda Jane Callahan Griffith.
She is survived by three sisters, Olzetta Steward of Portland, Ore., Eva Terry of Hagarville, and Frances Lonnie of Morrilton.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Terry, Roy Terry, Troy Terry, David Griffith, M. L. Griffith, and Benny Acord.

Troy L. Clayborn

Troy L. Clayborn, 79, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired coal miner and Hammond Hardware employee, son of the late Rev. George Z. and Mary Curtis Clayborn, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Ann Marlow Hart Clayborn; one stepdaughter, Dovie Debbie Carol May of Clarksville; two stepsons, John Henry Hart and Gerald Dean Pentz, both of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Oren (Eula) Bridges of Clarksville; eight step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Stepp, John Hart, Dwight Stepp, Carroll Sherrill, Gene Ward, and Walter Gene Nowotny.

Vivian Misenhimer

Vivian Elizabeth Misenhimer, 99, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at her home.
She was a graduate of Clarksville High School, received a bachelor of science degree from The College of the Ozarks in 1922, and a master of education degree from the University of Arkansas in 1955, a retired elementary school teacher after having taught in Clarksville for 37 years, life member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Faith Hope Circle and the What So Ever Sunday School Class of the First United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Albert B. and Frances Wood Misenhimer and was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Misenhimer King, and two brothers, Denver Misenhimer and Ralph Misenhimer.
She is survived by three nieces, Frances Misenhimer Pettit of Corning, Daveda Arms Misenhimer of Paragould, and Anne Misenhimer Crofoot of Morrilton; numerous late generation nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Clarksville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be John Bumpers, John Crofoot, David Evans, Bill Misenhimer, Richard Misenhimer, Bill Pettit, Ben Pickard, Jim Turner, John Wisner, and Stanley Case.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ed Farris, Harold Johnson, Varnel King, Jimmy Lewis, Keith Lewis, Levon Stumbaugh, Garner Taylor, Phil Taylor, and Lee White.
Memorials may be made to the Clarksville First United Methodist Church, the University of the Ozark, or the charity of the donor's choice.
