Mrs. Lois L. Catlett
Mrs. Lois Louise Catlett, 61, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Alva Share Medical Center in Alva, Okla.
She was a native of Burlington, Okla., daughter of the late Cleo (Houch) and Phil Albert Corr, and attended Burlington and Alva (Oklahoma) School systems. She was a former resident of Cherokee, Okla., the widow of Glenn Cellan, Charlie Clinton (Chalk) Sanders, and Lee Catlett, and was preceded in death by a son, David Justin Cellan, and a sister, Phyllis Cleta Wood of Clarksville.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Dean Cellan of Wichita, Kan.; one sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Bill Dotterer of Cherokee, Okla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Romona Corr of Freedom, Okla.; three half-sisters and spouses, LyCinda and Glendale Clark of Lake Dallas, Texas, Merry Carol and Jim Reneau of Caldwell, Kan., and Vicki and Louie Neely of Arapaho, Okla.; three half-brothers and spouses, Phillip and Debbie Corr of Perry, Okla., Delmar and Robin Corr of Bryan, Texas, and Forrest and Linda Corr of Alva, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Wharton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mel Brown, pastor of Alva Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Alva Municipal cemetery in Alva, Okla.
Active pallbearers will be Glendale Clark, Delmar Corr, Forrest Corr, Larry Corr, Phillip Corr, and Rocky Gibson.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ralph Corr.
Roma Ross McGinty
Funeral for Roma Ross McGinty, 77, of Rose Bud, formerly of Clarksville, who died Feb. 5, 1999, at Searcy Hospital, was at 9:30 a.m Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the First Baptist Church of Rose Bud with Rev. Bruce Brown officiating.
Burial was in the Stillwell cemetery north of Clarksville under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home of Searcy.
Pallbearers were Darryl Adams, Lee Young, Scott Wilson, Charlie Horrine, Lynn Clendon, and Rudy Porter.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, forestry equipment operator for the state of California, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mildred McGinty, and one son, David Ross McGinty.
Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Ann; one son, Gerald R. of Shirley; one sister, Carrie Bratcher of Porterville, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Clifford W. Harris
Clifford W. Harris, 70, of Lamar died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at his home.
A son of the late John and Helen Beatrice Pulliam Harris, he was a native of Wheeler, Texas, Baptist,
U. S. Army veteran, truck driver, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Harris, and one brother, Delbert Harris.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Carter Harris; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Harris and James and Carolyn Harris, all of Lamar; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Michael Buckner of Snead's Ferry, N. C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Linda Harris of Portland, Ore.; ten grandsons, Charlton Buckner, Robert Buckner and Dustin Buckner, all of Snead's Ferry, N. C., Jason Buckner of Charleston, Rodney Harris and Joshua Harris, both of Lamar, Clifford Harris of Ft. Lewis, Wash., Jamie Harris of Dallas, Texas, Christopher Harris of Wister, Okla., and James Harris of Ft. Carson, Colo.; two granddaughters, Mary Harris of Poteau, Okla., and Desiree Harris of Lamar; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Pittsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Milloway officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Jason Buckner, James Harris, Rodney Harris, Clifford Harris, Vernon Mize, Trevor Mize, Aaron Mize, and Mike Star.

Ed Gabhart
Ed Gabhart, 43, of Russellville died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, near Dennard.
A son of the late Henry Everett Gabhart and the late Mary Onita McCowen Gabhart Bennett, he was a native of English, Ind., a supervisor for the Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Inc., and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Gabhart.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Yong Gabhart; one daughter, Lisa Marie Smith of Russellville; two stepdaughters, Jeanni Ann Villarreal of Sacramento, Calif., and Ericka Olguin of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Henry Gabhart of Marengo, Ind., and Robert Jenkins of Birdseye, Ind.; two sisters, Roberta Toby of Marengo, Ind., and Janis Kasserman of Reedsville, N. C.; and seven step-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Rock Springs cemetery near Hector with Rev. Don Rose officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Father Frowin Schoech
Father Frowin Schoech, 58, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999.
He was born in Muenster, Texas, the son of Andrew and Matilda Spaeth Schoech and attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Muenster, Texas, before graduating from Subiaco Academy in 1958. He entered the novitiate at Subiaco Abbey and professed his monastic vows on Sept. 8, 1960. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 4, 1966, in his home parish of Muenster, Texas, by Rev. Thomas K. Gorman, bishop of Dallas-Fort Worth.
Following ordination, he was on the faculty of Subiaco Academy from 1966-92 and again for the school year 1998-99. During the 27 years he served in different capacities as teacher, student chaplain, guidance counselor, moderator of the school newspaper, director of intramurals and band director. He also organized the Phoenix Reflections, a small brass band, and established a snack bar and recreation center for the students called Die Bunkerstube, which he managed for 20 years and which is still a vital part of the Academy.
During summer months he attended the Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C., and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he earned a master's degree in sociology and in guidance and counseling.
He served as secretary of the alumni association from 1979-86. During the 1970s-80s he was the director of publicity for Subiaco Abbey and Academy. From 1993-97, he was associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Muenster, Texas, where he also taught in the local high schools. On May 15, 1998, he was appointed pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Booneville, a position he held at the time of his death.
He is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Wall of Dallas, Texas, and Karolyn Cooley of Mansfield, Texas; and three brothers, Melvin of Kingsville, Texas, Richard of Arlington, Texas, and Glen of Irving, Texas.
A Christian wake service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, and the liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in Saint Benedict Church at Subiaco. Interment was in the Abbey cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Lance W. Massengill
Lance Warren Massengill, 85, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at his home.
He was a native of Huntsville, son of the late James Preston and Mancy Creech Massengill, former resident of the Almond Community near Concord, and a retired farmer, carpenter, and machinist. He was a Baptist minister and had been instrumental in establishing new church missions and in the jail ministry. He had been a resident of Clarksville since 1979, where he was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Young.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Ritter Massengill; one daughter, Sondra McKelvey of Clarksville; two sons, Warren Massengill of Little Rock and Norman Massengill of Russellville; one brother, Lawrence Massengill of Letona; one sister, Mildred Kerlin of Locust Grove; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Concord First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Craft, assisted by Ed Bradley, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs.
Memorials may be made to the Family Life Center Building Fund at Clarksville Second Baptist Church or the Johnson County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Mary Lenzi Russo
Mrs. Mary Lenzi Russo, 85, mother of Ben Russo of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Franklin, Mass.
She was the widow of Anthony A. Russo.
She is survived by two other sons, Anthony P. Russo and Joseph J. Russo, both of Franklin, Mass.; three daughters, Joan M. Russo, Geri A. Cogliano and Theresa M. D'Aniello, all of Franklin, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at St. Mary's Church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery in Franklin, Mass. Arrangements were under the direction of the Charles F. Oteri Franklin Funeral Home.

Norman Hudson
Norman Leroy Tommy Hudson, 75, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a coal miner, Pentecostal, and son of the late Horace Hutson.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Crystal Dobbs Hudson; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Vonda Hudson of Charleston; mother, Vera Hudson of Clarksville; two sisters, Wanda Dailey of Clarksville and Billie Ruth Standridge of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Charles Hutson of Alix; and three grandchildren, Daniel Sean Hudson, Joshua Trent Hudson, and Matthew Rickie Hudson, all of Charleston.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bill Dalton, Rick Dailey, George Dailey, Frank Shirley, David Smith, and Jim Ralph.
Honorary pallbearer was David Dobbs.
