Odin E. Guenther

Odin Eckart Guenther, 52, of Oark died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at a Little Rock hospital.
He was a native of Rheingoenheim, Germany, son of the late Hugo Karl Guenther and Eleonore Beutel Guenther, violinist, music teacher, member of the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Hot Springs Festival Orchestra, and was in the piano tuning and restoration business.
Survivors include his widow, Joanne Linda Guenther; two daughters, Arline Guenther and Idun Guenther, both of Oark; one brother and sister-in-law, Irmin and Marie Luise Guenther of Rheingoenheim, Germany; one sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Michael Shore of Millford, Conn.; aunt and uncle, Helene and Helmut Wurth of Croydon, Australia; one cousin, Ulrike Hobbs of Australia; two nieces; and one grandnephew.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Lance Jones officiating.

Azalene Wilson

Azalene Wilson, 67, of Hartman died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Hartman, she was a daughter of the late Elzie and Jewell Harris Drewry, 1953 graduate of Hartman High School, member of Union Grove Baptist Church, Democratic committee woman, and was employed as a cook at Hartman School for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond (Sonny) Wilson; three daughters, Sherry Fowler of Hartman, Beth Clements of Bethany, Okla., and Mary Ellen Neilson of Ontario, Calif.; three sons, Lonnie Ray Wilson and Michael Joe Wilson, both of Hartman, and Gary Wayne Wilson of Clarksville; two sisters, Virginia Kelly of Kibler and Louann King of Van Buren; one brother, Pete Drewry of Cedarville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Burnett King and Rev. Sam Howell officiating.
Burial will be in Hartman cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Union Grove Baptist Church Nursery, Box 1705, Clarksville, AR 72830.

John Ray Childers

John Ray Childers, 67, of Alexander, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at his home.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Mildred Cagle Childers, Methodist, Army veteran, and retired truck driver and dispatcher for Safeway.
Survivors include his widow, Sharon Woodard Childers; one daughter, Teri Crofford of Benton; one son, Steven Childers of Malvern; father, Victor Childers of Lamar; one sister, Shirley Albertson of Russellville; and four grandchildren, Brittany Crofford of Benton, and Krista Childers, Kara Childers and Drew Childers, all of Malvern.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with John Ballard officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Phil Miller, Lawrence Crofford, Joe Johnston, Duane Childers, Kenneth Childers, and Jack Phillips.

Juanita Barnett

Juanita Hess Barnett, 84, of Fayetteville, sister of Troy Lee Hess of Coal Hill, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at a Fayetteville hospital.
A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Clayton and Addie Ethel Hardgrave Hess, widow of Luther Barnett, member of Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, and was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas V. (Boots) Hess of Coal Hill.
Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa Carter and Cindy Weyer, both of Springdale; six grandchildren, Greg Simpson, Sarah Smreker, and Aaron, Adam, Jill and John Bradley; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith with Rev. Dois Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Hess cemetery at Coal Hill.
Memorials may be made to the Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.

Andy L. Crabtree

Andy L. Crabtree, 72, of Clarksville died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was a native of Coal Hill, son of the late Robert Ernest and Polly Vian Evans Crabtree, a retired concrete finisher, and a Catholic.
He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Jean Rice of Lowell and Anita L. Gregory of Rogers; one son, Andy (John) Crabtree of Clarksville; four brothers, Bernard Crabtree of Clarksville, Bill Crabtree of Jasper, Leon Crabtree of Coal Hill, and Frank Crabtree of Altus; one sister, Mickey Hart of Conway; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Wewers, OSB, officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Crabtree, Michael Crabtree, Billy Joe Crabtree, Shawn Paul Crabtree, Kenny Crabtree, Steve Crabtree, and Jerry Crabtree.

Darlene Sikes

Darlene Sikes, 87, of Scranton died Monday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Lamar.
She was a member of Pleasent Hill Baptist Church in Crossroads, daughter of the late Ernest and Lena Smith Arnold, and widow of Ralph Thurman Sikes.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lindal and Shelby Sikes of Scranton and Dale Sikes of Scranton; one sister-in-law, Lillie Arnold of Indiana; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Pleasent Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie View cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Chris Bittle, Anthony Bittle, Kenneth Fulmer, Bud Inman, Charles Bittle, and Austin Bittle.

John W. Morris

John W. Morris, 81, of Clarksville died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at his home.
A native of Spadra, he was a son of the late John Morgan and Florence Hevron Morris, graduate of Hartman High School, member of Coal Hill VFW Post No. 8532, American Legion Bunch Walton Post No. 22, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, USS Edward Association and USS Cadmus Association, and served 22 years in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his widow, Lucille Martin Morris; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary and Nelson Sears of Clarksville and Ardith Morris of Russellville; two sisters, Wilma Hamilton and Gwen Kemper, both of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, John Sears of Clarksville, Wellyn Seidensticker of Russellville, Sarah Seidensticker of Hamburg, Pa., and Rachel Gordon of Chicago, Ill.; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Don Edward Morris, Jimmy Morgan Morris, Charles Ray Oxford, Robert Wayne Morris, John Morgan Morris, David L. Morris, Alan Martin, Paul E. Harris, Henry DeSalvo, and David DeSalvo.

Janice M. Parrott

Janice M. Parrott, 61, of Tulsa, Okla., daughter of Mae Evelyn Johnson Harris of Clarksville, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Arlie Roy Harris Sr. and a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors include her husband, Horace Joe Parrott; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Maurita and David Parker, Alisa Parrott, Christina Parrott, and Wendy and Travis Mills, all of Tulsa, Okla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Felecia Parrott of Bristow, Okla.; one brother, Arlie Roy Harris Jr. of Sallisaw, Okla.; one sister, Ruby Jane Sisco of Clarksville; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 10th and Rockford Church of Christ in Tulsa, Okla., with Herschel Dyer officiating.
Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery in Tulsa, Okla., under the direction of Nick Reynolds Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Bill Corday, Bob Collier, Arno Lamb, Bill Little, Everett Tippin, and Warren Waggoner.
