Faye E. Morrow

Faye Elizebeth Morrow, 89, of El Dorado, formerly of Hartman, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado.
She was a Baptist, daughter of the late James M. and Nancy Kesterson Lee, and widow of Porter Lee Morrow.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Stevens of Camden and Vera Hardin of Texas; one son, Walter Hamm of Mississippi; one brother, Sonny Lee of Little Rock; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Monday, May 10, at the Hartman cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Harl R. Griffith Sr.

Harl Robert Griffith Sr., 97, of Russellville died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
A native of Coal Hill, he was a son of the late Robert and Martha Jane Quillin Griffith, graduate of the University of the Ozarks, coal mine operator and retired state mine inspector for the state of Arkansas, member of the 16th Street Church of Christ in Russellville, and was preceded in death by his wife, Koy V. Griffith.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harl (Elaine) Griffith Jr. of Russellville; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane G. and Chuck Freeman of Rogers; five grandchildren and spouses, Terri and Jim Knight of Russellville, Tommy and Patricia Griffith of Cheyenne, Wyo., Kelly Hearn of Lees Summit, Mo., Shelly Thompson of Lenexa, Kan., and Tiffany Teis of Tulsa, Okla.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with A. W. Goff and Andy Kleinlein officiating. Entombment was in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Fort Smith.

Junior T. Cummins

Junior Thomas Cummins, 63, of Ozone died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a carpenter, son of the late Thomas Cummins, and was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Stepp; and two brothers, Ervin Cummins and Clarence Cummins.
Survivors include his widow, Evelyn Reynolds Cummins; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jessica and Lee Sams of Ozone and Sherry Cummins of the home; one son, Steven Cummins of the home; mother, Rosie Cummins of Ozone; four sisters, Ruby Morgan of Coal Hill, Edna Bean of Ozone, Darlene Stepp of Clarksville and Barbara Hogue of Hartman; two brothers, Paul Cummins and James Cummins, both of Ozone; two grandchildren, Logan Sams and Josie Sams, both of Ozone; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Robert Boen and Rev. Carl Sory officiating. Burial was in Mossville cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gary Melson, Andy Cummins, Teddy Bohannon, Lonnie Reynolds, Clay Bean, and Casey Cummins.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Brad Reynolds and David Reynolds.

Jay W. Long

Jay W. Long, 70, of Yuba City, Calif., father of Mark Long of Lamar, died April 13, 2004, in Yuba City, Calif.
He was a native of Warner, Okla., served in the U. S. Navy and was employed in civil service for ten years and as a warehouseman for several years. He was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors include his companion, Allie Mae Marler of Yuba City, Calif.; one daughter, Deborah Gill of Mountainburg; two other sons, Rick Long of Mountainburg and Timothy Long of Lincoln; one brother, Herbert Long of Yuba City, Calif.; two sisters, Sue Engman and Essie Fielden, both of Ukiah, Calif.; 15 grandchildren including Mark Long of Spadra, Jacob Long of Lamar and Destiny Jedrysek of Knoxville; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were at Russian River cemetery in Ukiah, Calif.

Lorene Casey

Lorene Casey, 87, of Krum, Texas, sister of Marcie Martin of Clarksville, died Monday, May 3, 2004, in Krum, Texas.
She was a native of the Minnow Creek Community, daughter of the late Stanley and Emma Matthews, widow of Denver Casey, and member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Denver and Cliff Vinsonhaler of Chico, Calif., and Joyce and Don Killough of Krum, Texas; one brother, Arch Matthews of Brazoria, Texas; one other sister, Ila Ellis of Ontario, Canada; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Saturday, May 8, in Krum, Texas, with Don Killough officiating.

Nona May Gray

Nona May Gray, 92, of Fort Smith, sister of Cleman Wilkins of Clarksville, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, in Fort Smith.
Other survivors include one son, Charles Gray of Warner, Okla.; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the Hayes Chapel cemetery on Highway 64 west of Clarksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Ola Lee Nordin

Ola Lee Ashmore Nordin, 91, of London died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of London, daughter of the late Wiley Sherman and Millie Teletha Wilson Ashmore, widow of Rev. James L. (Roy) Nordin and a lifetime member of the London Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Rev. Wilma and Marvin Wharton of the Flat Rock Community, Verlan L. Nordin of Dardanelle, Iva Lee and James Nicholas of Athens, Ala., and Aimee J. Sudmeyer of Morrilton; six grandchildren, Joddy Whorton, Douglas T. Lewis, April Tollison, Jason Lewis, Jessie Lewis and Aimee Dawn Sudmeyer; and four great-grandchildren, Dalton Lewis, Marvin Louis Whorton, James Whorton and William Tollison.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at London Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating.
Burial was in London City cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were Randy Heflin, Tom Willis, R. J. Cochran, Kenneth Haulmark, Gary Anderson and Clarence Roberson.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles McClaren and Becky Cooper.

Rick Jay Long

Rick Jay Long, 45, of Mountainburg, brother of Mark Long of Lamar, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004.
He was born in Compton, Calif., to Jay and Shirley Harderson Long, a U. S. Navy veteran, musician and artist.
Survivors include one son, Ryan Long of Johnson; two daughters, Tezar'e Long of Johnson and Heather Long of California; one other brother, Tim Long of Lincoln; one sister, Deborah Gill; and local nephews, Mark Long of Spadra and Jacob Long of Lamar; and one niece, Destiny Jedrysek of Knoxville.
Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Monday, May 10, at West Fork cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.

Carl D. Chrisman

Carl D. Chrisman, 52, of Hartman died Monday, May 10, 2004, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Richmond, Calif., graduate of Hartman High School, U. S. Army veteran, long-time employee of Tyson Foods and was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ora Chrisman and maternal grandmother, Lorene Marvel.
Survivors include his widow, Marilyn Walters Chrisman; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Kevin Farmer of Rogers; two sons, Mike Weathers of San Diego, Calif., and Chad Chrisman of Hartman; parents, Leo and Babe Chrisman of Hartman; grandfather, Orville Marvel of Hartman; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Gary Ireland of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Tammy and Bill Scopp of Leawood, Kan., and Angie and Terry Throckmorton of Harrisonville, Mo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Merrie Chrisman of Hartman; five grandchildren, Tyler Chrisman of Ozark, Mayce Chrisman of Hartman, Tyler Farmer and Shannon Farmer, both of Rogers, and Shayla Carter of Bella Vista; two great-grandchildren, Cali and Khalia Carter of Bella Vista; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating.
Burial will be in Hartman cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Woody Norwood, Bill Scopp, Terry Throckmorton, Jake Throckmorton, Adam Chrisman, Caleb Chrisman, Kris Chrisman, and Robert Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Brooke, George Kilgore, Dr. David Brantley, Kent Yates, Jason Patterson, Barry Marvel, Jeep Yates, Tyler Chrisman, Tyler Farmer and Tyson maintenance crew.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Hembree Cancer Center, Mercy Fund, P. O. Box 1700, Fort Smith, AR 72917 or First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 535, Clarksville, AR 72830.
