Claudine T. Sikes
Claudine T. Sikes, 80, of Conway, mother of Charles Sikes of Scranton, died Friday, April 23, 2004.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, daughter of the late Cordia Lee and Dencie Charles Traylor, and widow of Carl L. Sikes.
Survivors include three daughters, Fran Ruffin of Hot Springs, Doris Drake of Decatur, Ala., and Charlotte Stark of Marietta, Ga.; one other son, Donald Sikes of Conway; one sister, Charline Dempsey of Booneville; one brother, J. B. Traylor of Fayetteville; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial in Stoney Point cemetery at Scranton.
Pallbearers were David Drake, Brandon Sikes, Nathan Stark, Michael Ruffin, Mike Denton, Richard Tolleson and Richard Johnson.

E. Dolores Harlan
Emilia Dolores Harlan, 74, of Lamar died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was the widow of Burley Dale Harlan, daughter of the late Pedro V. Mijares and Martha Gomez, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Ann Phillips; and one stepson, Kenny Harlan.
Survivors are one daughter, Martha Dolores Argo of Lamar; one stepdaughter, Pattie Pollard of Oregon; four sons, William Merrille Scott II of Hawaii, Howard Dale Scott of California, Patrick James Scott of Oklahoma, and George Martin Scott of Minnesota; one stepson, Dale Harlan of Oregon; two brothers, Pete and Raul Mijares of California; 28 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger and William Scott III officiating. Burial will be in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hatchett, Danny Cowell, Jason Loyd, T. J. Watson, William Scott III, and Brian Scott.
A. Franklin Russell
Arthur Franklin Russell, 71, of Clarksville died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a former Johnson County chief deputy sheriff, retired employee of River Valley By-Products, truck driver, 32nd degree Mason, former owner of Fiberglass Craft and Marina in Clarksville, former president of the Clarksville Coon Hunters Association, member of the Johnson County Bass Club, and son of the late Ewell and Vellow Chesser Russell.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Virginia Mae Clayborn Russell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Michael Fann of Raytown, Mo., and Tanya and Mike Berg of Lamar; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Brenda Russell of Clarksville and Danny and Rexanne Russell of Crossville, Ala.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Carl Harbert of Waxahachie, Texas, and Velma and J. D. Shaw of Gurdon; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 22, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Lance Fetters officiating. Burial was in Woodland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Travis Fetters, Jamon Abercrombie, Todd Russell, Tim Mooney, Matthew Fann, and Steve Fetters.
George E. Shoeffler
George E. Shoeffler, 57, of Hartman died Friday, April 23, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Altus, son of the late Joseph Franklin Shoeffler, graduate of Hartman High School and Arkansas Vocational Technical Institute in Ozark, member of the Coal Hill VFW, Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, served 17 years with the 142nd Field Artillery in the Ozark National Guard Unit, served six months in the Gulf War, former owner of Dobbs Body Shop in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Shoeffler.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Jane Shoeffler; one daughter and son-in-law, Dee Ann and Dee Patton of Clarksville; mother, Priscilla Shoeffler of Hartman; two sisters, Charlotte Trice of Pottsboro, Texas, and Barbara Taggard of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Kassadi Patton of Clarksville.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Paul Wayne Williams, Elmer Pannell, Roy Goodin, Roy Roberts, Barry Park and Ronnie Ashlock.
E. Louise T. Berry
Memorial services for E. Louise T. Berry, 85, who died Nov. 29, 2003, in Sioux City, Iowa, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, native of Mississippi, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Tate, widow of Gordon Butler Berry, high school graduate, attended Mississippi Women's College and William Carey College where she received a bachelor of arts degree and a bachelor of science degree in math, music and education, former math teacher, and was involved in numerous volunteer positions in Clarksville including Johnson Regional Medical Center and senior service groups. She was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Tate and one sister, Stella Denton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Leo Demski of Brandenton, Fla., and Barbara and Paul Whitley of Sioux City, Iowa; one son and daughter-in-law, Ted and J. Berry of Roseville, N. M.; four grandchildren and spouses, Lee and Michelle Demski of Sarasota, Fla., Karen Demski of Atlanta, Ga., Melisa and Jim Smith of Carrollton, Texas, and Dr. John and Sarah Balbas of Memphis, Tenn.; and one great-grandchild, Justin Carl Smith of Carrollton, Texas.

Lee Roy Lemons
Lee Roy Lemons, 78, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at his home.
He was a member of Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God, Korean War Air Force veteran, security employee, son of the late Thomas Clinton and Liza Jane Baldwin Lemons, and was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Jane Lohmeyer; and three brothers, James Lemons, Amos Lemons, and Lonnie Lemons.
Survivors include his widow, Margie Holland Lemons; five stepsons, Charles Wood and John Wood, both of Clarksville, Ernie Wood of Bois D'Arc, Mo., and Fred Wood and Paul Wood, both of Springdale; one brother, Elva Lemons of Washington; 14 step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Bob Waite, Virgil Blake, Don Mefford, Jerry Drummond, Don Lyle and Junior Walker.

Minnazelle Danley
Graveside memorial services for Minnazelle King Danley, 96, of Bakersfield, Calif., who died Oct. 24, 2003, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Joe B. and Kate Clark King, and was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine King Sefcik; one brother, Joe B. King; and two nephews, Joe B. King and William M. Hardwicke III.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Sandidge of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Anna Katherine Tressider of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Opal Mae Brewer
Opal Mae Brewer, 89, of Baytown, Texas, sister of Vernard Ross of Hunt, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004.
She was a native of Okmulgee, Okla., daughter of the late Howard and Donie Ross; widow of Alfred Lee Brewer, attended Second Baptist Church of Baytown, Texas, and was preceded in death by two sons, Alfred Brewer Jr. and Lawrence Brewer; three brothers; and five sisters.
Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Lois Brewer of Highlands, Texas, Tommy and Cathy Brewer of Richland Hills, Ga., and Billy and Mary Michele Brewer of Baytown, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Lane of Missouri City, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Clements officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
Active pallbearers were Johnny Brewer, Brian Brewer, Robert Santana, Michael Santana, Tommy Brewer, and Dennis Brewer.
Honorary pallbearer was Thomas Paden.
Quilla Sue Walden
Quilla Sue Walden, 86, of Clarksville died April 25, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired frozen food production company employee, daughter of the late David M. and Quillian Duff James, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Cappizzelli.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Bill Snow of Scranton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patricia Keihn of Texas; two sisters, Marie Craig of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lou Jones of Portland, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
