Louise L. Reimers

Louise L. Reimers, 85, of Fremont, Neb., mother of Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Hula of Clarksville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at Fremont Area Medical Center.
A native of Johnstown, Neb., she was a former resident of the Ainsworth, Neb., area and Tekamah, Neb., graduate of Ainsworth High School, former employee of Herzberg's and Gales in the women's clothing department, widow of John Reimers, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Groves.
She is survived by three other daughters, JoAnne Nelson of Fremont, Neb., Linda Simonson of Omaha, Neb., and Nancy Ninneman of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Bennie Valentine of California; one son-in-law, Dennis Groves of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Leland Foreman officiating. Burial was in Memorial cemetery under the direction of Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Chapel.

Margaret S. Morrow

Margaret S. Morrow, 88, of Clarksville died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at the Dardanelle Nursing Center.
A native of Conway, she was a daughter of the late Charley and Nora Rogers Burns, former manager of the Marina Inn in Russellville, a Baptist, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill E. Morrow; one daughter, Elizabeth Hepp; and three brothers, Harold Burns, Robert Burns, and Carl Burns.
Survivors include her husband, George Morrow; one brother, Charles Burns of Clarksville; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at the Rankin cemetery in Russellville with Rev. Bobby Loyd officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Ronald W. Olson

Ronald Wayne (Ron) Olson, 30, of Fort Campbell, Ky., brother of Rudy Olson and grandson of Ruby Hunter, both of Clarksville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at his home.
He was a native of North Ridge, Calif., son of Larry Herbert Olson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Patricia Hunter Johnston of Roland, Okla., and was serving in the U. S. Army at Fort Campbell, Ky.
Other survivors include his widow, Danette Hale Olson; one stepson, Hayden Daniel of the home; one stepdaughter, Lauren Daniel of the home; two brothers, Erick Olson of Fort Smith and Chaz Olson of Georgia; and paternal grandmother, Beulah Jensen of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Lamb Funeral Home of Hopkinsville, Ky.

Vernon Lee Elkins

Vernon Lee Elkins, 77, died May 28, 2002, in Loomas, Calif.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy; and one sister, Violet Bynum.
Survivors are his widow, Lillian Elkins; two sons, Vernon Elkins Jr. and Steve Elkins, both of California; one daughter, Brenda Rienolds of California; mother, Mayme Elkins of Hartman; three brothers, Don Elkins of Hartman, Bob Elkins of Searcy, and Bill Elkins of Van Buren; and one sister, Betty Resimont Simms of Clarksville.
Funeral was Monday, June 3, in California.

Arthur W. Kotch

Arthur W. Kotch, 41, of Brunswick, Maine, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002.
He attended Clarksville Schools, received a bachelor of behaviorial and social sciences in 1998, spent six years in the U. S. Marine Corps, served on the Meridian City Police Department for two years, St. Mary's Police Department for one year, Maine Yankee Power Plant Security Guard for four years, special education specialist for two years, and was case manager for Lutheran Social Services for two years. He was preceded in death by one sister, Beth Cornett of Clarksville.
Survivors include his widow, Kimberly Kotch; one daughter, Belinda; two sons, Christopher and Scott; mother, Wilma Helmert of Clarksville; father, Robert Bartlett Sr. of Mesa, Ariz.; grandmother, Lillian Howerton of Clarksville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Gary Pruett of Clarksville, Penny and Billy Carter of Ozark, and Cindy and Randy Talley of Richardson, Texas; and four brothers, Bob Bartlett and wife, Tammi, of Coppell, Texas, and Matthew Kotch, Brian Mann, and Tom Crowder, all of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Rebecca Werner officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Stetson's Funeral Home of Brunswick, Maine.

Billie Joyzelle Einert

Billie Joyzelle Einert, 58, of Clarksville died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at her home.
She was a member of East Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 12-year employee of Sara Lee Hosiery, and daughter of the late Cecil W. Pratt.
Survivors are her husband, Loy Einert; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Shannon Burton, Stan and Karen Einert, and Staylon and Christi Einert, all of Clarksville; two stepdaughters, Deborah Wise of Pennsylvania and Iretha Edwards of Lincoln; one stepson, Johnny Einert of Ozone; mother, Jewell Patterson Pratt of Clarksville; one sister, Patty Owen of Clarksville; one brother, Wayne Pratt of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Michaela Einert, Brittany Einert and Tristan Einert; two nephews, Mark Pratt and Lavon Owen; and two nieces, Cheryl Castleman and Renee Campbell.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial was at Mt. Vernon cemetery.
Pallbearers were Matt Born, Mike Williams, Ian Clark, Morgan Howard, Todd Joyner, and Robert Williams.

Mary Bertha Horton

Mary Bertha Horton, 77, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Inola (Oklahoma) Health Care Center.
She was a daughter of the late Art Berry and Viola Mabel Wyers Gaines, widow of Charles Horton, attended Crossroads schools, former resident of Texas, and a Methodist.
Survivors include one son, Noel McFadden of Lenexa, Kan.; three daughters, Velta Long of Pleasant Hill, Mo., Mary Ann Williams of Inola, Okla., and Patricia Newman of Fayetteville; two brothers, Dewey Gaines of Ozark and Paul Gaines of Weatherford, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the United Methodist Church in Inola, Okla., with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating.
Burial was at Highland cemetery under the direction of Inola Funeral Home.

Ben H. Rowbotham

Ben Harold Rowbotham, 83, of Lamar died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Silas O. and Ruby Overbey Rowbotham, World War II Navy veteran, member of Lamar Baptist Church and American Legion, a poultry and timber employee, and was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Peters; and two brothers, Everett Rowbotham and Earnest Rowbotham.
Survivors include his widow, Bessie M. Harmon Rowbotham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and J. Keith Hale of Springdale and Mary and Johnny Schuh of Clarksville; two sisters, Pauline Hutchens of Hamilton City, Calif., and Reba Rae Baker of Lawrence, Kan.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Lamar Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were L. G. Crutchfield, Lloyd Reynolds, James Overbey, John Steed, Norman Reynolds, and Gene Rowbotham.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Houston, Mark Houston, John Schuh VII, Lloyd Dillard, Huey Long, and Tommy Rowbotham.

Rev. Charles R. Wood

Rev. Charles R. Wood, 68, of Clarksville died Monday, May 27, 2002, at his home.
He was a son of the late Jeff Davis and Elsie K. Vinson Wood, former owner of Wood Tire Service for 25 years, Clarksville School bus driver for 13 years and a retired minister having pastored five churches in Johnson County since 1957 in addition to having a Sunday morning radio program for 24 years. He served as pastor of the Strawberry Assembly of God Church, Jamestown Assembly of God Church, Oakland Street Full Gospel Church and was founder and pastor of Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God and Ozone Full Gospel Church. He was employed at Roller-Cox Funeral Home for three and one-half years prior to retiring in January 2000, and was preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Criss.
Survivors include his widow, Mary Lou Brown Wood; three daughters, Rebecca Butler and Bethany Dawson, both of Clarksville, and Carolyn Ranee Ricono of Monticello; six sons, Charles R. Wood Jr., John Wayne Wood and Brian Crossno, all of Clarksville, Paul Douglas Wood and Freddie Ray Wood, both of Springdale, and Ernie Wood of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Linda Brandenburg of Clarksville and Laura Estridge of North Little Rock; three brothers, John Wood and Norman Wood, both of Clarksville, and Bill Wood of Lubbock, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Oakland Street Full Gospel Church with Rev. J. W. McEntyre and Rev. Mike Payne officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Stewart, Finis Roberts, David Payne, Conard Villines, Melvin Vinson, and Kenneth Turpin.

Dawn Sallis Cowan

Dawn Sallis Cowan, 77, of Russellville died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late John Wallis and Lucy Yearwood Sallis, member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Pope County Historical Foundation, Booklovers, PEO Chapter AH, and Daughters of the American Revolution, and served on the board of directors for Potts Inn.
Survivors include her husband, Wally Cowan; one son, David W. Cowan of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Laura Willison of Maumelle and Lucy Doskocil of Houston, Texas; one brother, John W. Sallis III of Springdale; one sister, Betty Fiser of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, David C. Cowan of Westminster, Md., and Clay Shinn of Russellville; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua Curtis Cowan and Elizabeth Minei Cowan, both of Westminster, Md.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mackey Yokem officiating. The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 301 South Denver, Russellville, AR 72801.
