Eunice B. Crotts

Eunice B. Evans Crotts, 87, of Lamar died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late James P. and Rosa Hudspeth Evans and widow of Walter V. Crotts.
Survivors include one son, J. T. Crotts of Lamar; one sister, Beuna Davis of Lamar; one sister-in-law, Iva Evans of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Doug Crotts of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kelia Crotts Moore and spouse, Pete, and Tanif Crotts and spouse, Christina, all of Lamar; and special friend, Mary Thomas.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Bill Holt officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Don Warren, James Holt, Michael Dodge, Eddie Thomas, James Ray Lemons, and Junior Warren.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Moore, Kasey Moore, Kristian Moore, Jimmy Crotts, Haley Crotts, Sadi Crotts, Kyan Moore, Jeffery Moore, and Gregory Moore.

Floyd Eugene King

Floyd Eugene King, 77, of London died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at his home.
He was a son of the late John Floyd and Emma LaRue King, World War II veteran and retired employee of Rheems in Fort Smith.
Survivors include his widow, Arvie Faye Massey King; two daughters and one son-in-law, Anna Sue and Steven McGuire of Knoxville and Cynthia Denise King of London; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Lonnie Hunsucker of Ozark and Carolyn and Lee Moore of Broken Bow, Okla.; and five brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Sharon King of Clarksville, Jesse and Nancy King of Inkster, Mich., Billy Ray and Ann King and Kenneth and Imogene King, all of Ozone, and Lawrence and Linda King of Tulsa, Okla.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Fort Smith National cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Steven McGuire, Eddie King, Tim Freeman, Kevin Massey, John Nowotny, and Jamie King.

Gleneta R. Day

Gleneta Ray Day, 75, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, in Tulsa, Okla.
A native of Johnson County, she was the widow of Virgil M. (Red) Day Jr., and a retired banking industry employee.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Day and Steven Day of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren, Christopher Day, Amanda Day, Aaron Day, Dillon Day, and Danielle Day, all of Tulsa, Okla.; mother, Gertie Ray of Fayetteville; one brother, Jack Ray of Fayetteville; and one sister, Mereta Adams of Hartman.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bethlehem cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Up With Trees, 9920 East 44th Place, Tulsa, OK 74146.

M. E. Vance Beal

M. E. Vance Beal, 78, of Ozone died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, widow of Ralph E. Beal Jr., and daughter of the late William Houston and Eva Bray Vance. She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Molly Beal of Rowlett, Texas.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Steve Thulis of Clarksville and Mary and Jay Cannon of Woodstock, Calif.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ralph and Ann Beal of Lamar and James Beal of Rowlett, Texas; one sister, Margaret Vance of Denton, Texas; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwain and Barbara Vance of Denton, Texas, Aillun and Cathy Vance of Dallas, Texas, and William (Bill) and Joy Vance of Canton, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, with Rev. Ken Ashlock officiating. Burial was in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas, under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Rhuel L. Williams

Rhuel L. Williams, 92, of Knoxville died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired Massey Hardware employee, member of the Knoxville Masonic Lodge, attended the Knoxville First Baptist Church, and was the son of the late Henry and Mary Belle Wallace Williams.
Survivors include his widow, Esther Wilson Williams; one son, James Douglas Williams of Fort Smith; two sisters, Emma Sue Karstetter of Fayetteville and Loretta Chronister of Hollydale, Calif.; two brothers, Truett Williams and Harold Arlagene Williams, both of Knoxville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral was at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial was in Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Jodie Storms, Kevin Ramsey, Bill Bush, Jim Terrill, Steve Tillman Jr., and Kenneth Cash.
Honorary pallbearers were Glen Rainey and Carl Collins.

Cherri J. King

Cherri Jean Madden King, 46, of Clarksville died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.
A native of Newport, she was a daughter of the late Alton Madden, graduate of Paris High School, member of Paris Church of Christ, and a registered nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Pat King; one daughter, Kristin King of Clarksville; three sons, Jeremy Dorrough of Bergman, and Nick Dorrough and Alex King, both of Clarksville; parents, Charlene and Raymond Avery of Paris; one sister, Lesa Thomas of Little Rock; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold and Mary Alice Madden of Paragould, John Madden of Palm Bay, Fla., and Scott Avery of Fayetteville; and one grandchild, Michael Dorrough of Bergman.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lance Jones officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kent Cecil, Jerry Stumbaugh, George Taylor III, Mike Stone, Ron Taylor, and Freeman Wish.

Carolyn Jane Phelps

Carolyn Jane Phelps, 62, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late William C. and Captola Sutton Higgins, attended the Coal Hill Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Stover and Marjorie Smith; and one brother, George Allen Higgins.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Phelps; three daughters, Cynthia Hall of Hartman, Kattie Lucas of Coal Hill and Donna Hedrick of Dover; two sons, Paul Mc-
Glaun of Greenbrier and Daniel Phelps of Coal Hill; three sisters, Geneive Roland of Grant Pass, Ore., Brenda Bowman of Guthrie, Okla., and Linda Rhinehart of Paris; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Coal Hill Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Kindrix and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial was in the Coal Hill cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Joseph Hall, Joseph Lucas, Jared Wood, Ellis Cemental, Clint Bacchus, and Robert Hall.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Ray McGlaun and Jamey Styles.

Pauline M. James

Pauline Mae James, 76, of Gravois Mills, Mo., formerly of Hartman, died Sept. 13, 2002, at Osage Beach, Mo.
She was a daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Olga Cowell Fetters, widow of Coyle E. James, and was preceded in death by one son, Donald J. James.
Survivors include three daughters, Jo Ann Cole of Hartman, Kathryn Macial of Kansas City, Mo., and Jeanne James of Gravois Mills, Mo.; two sons, Paul James of Kansas City, Mo., and Coyle James Jr. of DeSoto, Kan.; two sisters, Ardath and Sue; one brother, Kenneth Cowell of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Hartman cemetery with Rev. Billy Usery officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Teletha P. Smith

Teletha P. Smith, 92, of Clarksville died Sept. 24, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Dora Layton Harrison, widow of Kenneth Smith, retired sales clerk and bookkeeper, and a member of Lamar Baptist Smith.
She is survived by one sister, Lila Cassell of Fullerton, Calif.; and one brother, Floyd E. Harrison of Germany.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tracy Price, Charles Dillard, Harry Tilley, Charles Brown, Ben Keith, and Don Danvar.
