Frank Privitt
Frank Privitt, age 75, of Shirley, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his home with family and friends close by. Frank was born at Heber Springs on Aug. 20, 1938, to Kermit and Josephine Chesbro Privitt.
He was a lifelong resident of Shirley and was in business with his parents until they retired, then became owner of Privitt Hardware until 1998 when he retired and closed the business.
Frank loved to work around the farm with his tractor and cattle and visit with his many friends on the front porch. He loved his grandson, Jed, and enjoyed going to all his basketball games as long as he could.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Inez Privitt; a son, Tim Privitt; a grandson, Jed Privitt; and Darla Privitt, all of Shirley. Frank is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 21, at the Shirley Community Church with memorial services at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Bobby Ward. Honorary pallbearers were Benny Brown, Dr. Charles Brown, Lane Brown, Don Hensley, Jim Berry, Johnny Harper, and Gerald Harper. Allan Dunn
Allan Curtis Dunn, 75, of Choctaw, Ark., ended his watch Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. He was born June 7, 1938, in Torrance, Calif., to Vern Elwyn and Dixie (Whitson) Dunn Sr.
They moved to Ashland, Ore., where Allan was on the high school football and track teams. Allan served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He is a Vietnam War veteran. Allan served his community in law enforcement for 30 years. He went to Bosnia in 1999-2000 as part of the United Nations Police Monitor. He married
Donna Stobaugh in 1991.
Allan was a hardworking man, but he never passed up the opportunity to give someone a “hard time” and make them smile! He loved traveling, camping, fishing, John Wayne, enchiladas, and cherry pie! Our words are inadequate to describe the man we called Husband, Daddy, Pop, Grandpa and Friend.
Allan gave a lifetime of service to our country and his community and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern Elwyn Dunn Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Sue Stobaugh of the home; son, Casey Allan (Casey Ann) Dunn of Greenbrier, Ark.; three daughters, Debra Lynn Dunn (Kevin) Horne of Mountain Home, Ark., Rebecca Ann Dunn (John) Sammons, and Stacy Renea Dunn of Clinton, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Shannon, Dixie, Andrew, and Kaila, of Ohio, Sarah Jane, David, and Nicole “Spud,” Zachary Allen and Jeremy of Arkansas; five great-grandchildren, Gage, Lily, Maddy, Taylor, and Hunter, of Ohio. He also has dear cousins Carol Ann and Jerry Williams and family in Ashland, Ore.; and many close friends.
Memorials may be made to the Van Buren County Animal Shelter or a charity of your Choice. Those who wish, may give a flower to a friend in his memory. Clyde Haines
Clyde D. Haines, 73, of Center Ridge, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014. He was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Battleground, Wash., to Robert and Clara (DeFrees) Haines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Kevin Salinas. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Joyce Fern (Harris) Haines of the home; two daughters, Darlene R. Bonds and husband Andrew of Fox, Ark., and Peggy A. Salinas and husband Reyes of Center Ridge, Ark.; three step-sons, Sammy C. Alexander and wife Melissa of Moran, Kansas, Michael Alexander and wife Janelle of Casa, Ark., and Bobby Alexander of Center Ridge, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Mary Beckham of Kansas; brother Jack Haines and wife Judy of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers: Reyes Salinas, Michael Alexander, Jason Tucker, Curtis Collister, Chad Bonds, Andrew Bonds, Jammie Turner, and Mikie Longeria.
Visitation was Friday, February 21, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Ark. Funeral service was 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Scotland Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Deckelman officiating. Burial was in Foster cemetery, Scotland, Ark. Emma Hutson
Emma Jean Hutson, 94, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. She was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Shirley, Ark., to Walter and Sephronia (Harper) Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fielder Hutson; two brothers, Dean Baker and Aaron Baker; and a sister, Merle Bonds. She is survived by her two sisters, Freeda Nichols and husband Darrel of Clinton, Ark., and Kathryn Yvonne Hall and husband Billy of Moreno Valley, Calif.; brother, John W. Baker of Clinton, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Visitation will be 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton. Burial will follow in Weaver cemetery, Shirley, Ark.

Herb Mills
Herbert Talley Mills was born on Dec. 22, 1922, in Wilmington, Del. His parents were Charles H. and Margaret Roll - Mills. He was an architect, a pilot and an Army Air Corps veteran.
Herb and Dorothy Steele were married
in Bay County, Fla., in 1953. To this union a son, John, was born.
After his retirement from the city of San Diego, Calif., in 1979, Herb and Dorothy moved to the Walnut Grove community in Clinton, Ark.
Herb was preceded in death in 2005 by his beloved wife of 52 years. In 2013, Herb suffered a stroke and became a resident of Ozark Health Rehab and Nursing Center.
On Feb. 19, 2014, at 11:49 in the morning, with friends at his side and surrounded by the staff that he had come to call family, Herbert Talley Mills slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God.
He will be at rest beside Dorothy in Davis, Okla.
Amanda Tyarks
Amanda Dawn (Radcliff) Tyarks, age 35, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Conway, Ark. She was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on Sept. 21, 1978, to Mary Dunn Pricer and David Radcliff. She was her mother’s very first love.
She was raised in Clinton, Ark., and attended Clinton School. She grew from a beautiful little girl into a beautiful woman. She later married
and started a family. She gifted to this world three beautiful children. At one point in her life, she returned to the workforce at Pilgrim’s Pride to help provide for her family, but soon returned home to do what she loved best, raise her babies.
Amanda is survived by two beautiful children Jaden and Nevaeh Tyarks and their father Thomas and his wife JJ Tyarks of Yuma, Ariz.; her loving mother Mary Pricer and husband Melvin of Clinton; sister Shanna Pearce and husband Johnny of Greers Ferry; brother Joshua Radcliff and wife Tamra of Clinton; father David Radcliff of Conway; nieces Myla Radcliff, Isabella Pearce and Katelyn Martin; and a nephew David Justus. She is also survived by aunts Jeanie Dunn McDaniel, Lilly French, Rose Dunn and Linda Whitlatch-Dunn; cousins Sarah Wooten, Jarred McDaniel, Lucus Ross, Lydia Swartz, Malena Ross; maternal grandparents Bill and Lois Dunn; and a host of many family and friends.
She is preceded in death by one son, Dillion Thomas Radcliff; a niece Stormy Dawn Radcliff; paternal grandmother Lucille Radcliff and a best friend, Erin Marie Trayling-Walley. A special service will be planned by family to remember Amanda.

Morrison Jones Jr.
Morrison Morgan Jones Jr., 82, of Clinton passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. Born Aug. 21, 1931, in Great Barrington, Mass., to the late Morrison M. Jones Sr. and Clementine M. Veronesi Jones. Morrison was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist faith.
By trade, he was a master carpenter and yacht builder for Morgan Yachts in Florida. After retirement, Mr. Jones was an avid shooter and enjoyed working with leather.
Morrison is survived by four daughters: Bobbie Dickey of Bolivar, Mo., Trista Fore and Adena Jones, both of Clinton, and Holley Bethune; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Betty Jones of Massachusetts; and grandchildren Dylan Byers, Kandi Davis, Tiffany Ussery , Zane Jones, Damien Jones, Cobain Jones, Devante Jones, David Jones, and Kennedy Jones. Morrison is also survived by many great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Morrison is proceeded in death by his son-in-law, Joe Fore.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Clinton Funeral Service.
Billie McKay
Billie Sue McKay, 71, of Shirley, Ark., passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Shirley, Ark., to W.H. Hop and Katie Alice (Bradley) Harper.
She was a Christian and a beloved member of the Shirley and Fairfield Bay community. She served the people for 39 years working at the Fairfield Bay Community Club.
She is survived by her siblings Jean Bradford, Louise Williams, Corrine Williams, JD Harper, and Maxine Bramlett, and was preceded in death by Henry Harper, Sherman Harper, Mary Jo Holderfield, and Connie Mack Harper.
She is also survived by her long-time companion Reg Baker; her son Bobby, his wife Judi and their children Greg (Amanda), Keith (Allison), Ashley, and Lucas (Tara); and her son Shelby, his children Kaycee, Kristen, and Deanna. Granny is survived by her great-grandchildren Henry, Maggie, Stella, and Maria, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marion Taylor
Marion Jewell Taylor, 92, of Shirley, Ark., passed to be with our Lord on Monday, April 14, 2014. He was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Bentonia, Miss., to Claude E. and Annette Sibley Taylor.
Marion was a lifelong Methodist and attended the First United Methodist Church of Clinton, Ark.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Rhodes Taylor; one son, John C. Taylor and wife Patricia of Silver Point, Tenn.; granddaughter, Erin Taylor and husband Jack Staley; and five great-grandchildren, all presently residing in Oklahoma. He also has two step-daughters, Cyndi Sullivan and husband Steve of Conway, Ark., and Rebecca Sartini of Benton, Ark.; two step-sons, James Peevey of Collierville, Tenn., and Michael Peevey and wife Keri of Zebulon, N.C.; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
After graduation from high school, Marion enlisted in the Army Air Force where he spent 22 years before retiring in the rank of major. He participated in the Berlin Airlift in 1945. He subsequently served at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Miss., Scott AFB in Illinois, and retired from James Connelly AFB, Texas. After retiring, he formed and managed a forms printing company for 10 years before retiring and moving to Van Buren County. Marion and his wife of 62 years, Dorris Robertson Taylor, who preceded him, spent vacations from 1963 to 1984 on Greers Ferry Lake in Van Buren County. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Taylor. and one granddaughter, Logan Elise Taylor.
In 1968 Marion’s life was saved by AA. He spent the next 46 years attending many meetings around the country and meeting many people he always considered his friends.
After retiring in 1984, they moved to Van Buren County and built his present home. He helped with founding Foods for Life in Clinton and worked many years as a volunteer in the county with numerous projects for the county. He said many times the county was the best he had ever lived in. He was a true southern gentleman and his friends and family will miss him greatly.
There will be a Memorial Service honoring his life with Full Air Force Military Honors at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Ark., with Pastor George Odell officiating. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. until the service begins.
