Sid Bonds
Sidney Steve Bonds, 57, of Clinton passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. He was born April 6, 1956, to Kelley Bonds and Merle Baker Bonds of Clinton.
Survivors are wife Shelia; daughter Amy Bonds Collins; son, Kelley “Cruz” Bonds; siblings, Donna Ricketts, Linda Lewis and Max Bonds; two grandchildren; and lots of family and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, March 23, followed by a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton. Memorials may be made to Pee Dee cemetery, P.O. Box 175, Bee Branch, AR 72013.

Mary Hoover
Mary Hoover, 84, of Waco, Texas, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014. She was born July 19, 1929, to Forrest and Pearl Baker, and grew up in Clinton, Ark. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1951, she worked several years as a state home demonstration agent. She married Carl Hoover on April 10, 1955, the start of a loving 47-year marriage that saw two sons and households in four states.
She was a kind, bright and caring mother, aunt, friend and neighbor; a devoted Christian and talented homemaker who blessed those around her with her cooking, needlework, quilting, eye for clothing, knowledge of family history and relationships, and love of reading.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Carl Hoover; and her brother, Forrest Baker. Survivors include her sons, Carl Hoover Jr. and wife Paula of Waco, Texas, and John Hoover and wife Sharon of Norcross, Ga.; five grandchildren; sister Jo Ann Bonds of Clinton; four nieces and three nephews.
Graveside service was Monday, March 24, at Clinton cemetery. The family thanks Providence Hospice in Waco for its loving and attentive care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to the foreign mission offering of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, Little Rock, P.O. Box 31510 Little Rock, AR 72260 or a charity helping others.

Russell Bryan
Russell Dudley Bryan, 66, of Leslie passed away March 18, 2014. He was a law enforcement officer in Hayward, Calif., and in North Carolina and Georgia. He was born June 23, 1947, to Theodore Dudley Bryan and Doris Elaine Brooks Bryan.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Bryan, of Leslie;, his mother, Doris Bryan of Georgia; brother Malcolm Bryan and wife Karen of Dacula, Ga.; and sister Elaine Bryan of Snellville, Ga.; niece Casey Paul and nephew Cory Bryan of Georgia; and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Bryan.

Isaac Johnson
Isaac Lee Johnson, infant son of Andy and Holly Harrington Johnson, passed from this life on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Waiting his arrival in heaven were his paternal grandparents Earl and Oneida Johnson, his step-maternal grandfather Tommy Valentine, and his brother, Wyatt Huck Johnson.
Isaac is survived by his loving parents, Andy and Holly Harrington Johnson of Arkadelphia; maternal grandparents, Geraldine Valentine of Bee Branch and Jimmy (Linda) Harrington of Arkadelphia; aunt, Gloria Johnson of Deer; aunt and uncle, Jacob and Jennifer Harrington and their children, Carlee and Emma of Ada, Okla.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Colony cemetery, Highway 92 East, Bee Branch, Ark., 72013, with Carl Thomason officiating. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Colony cemetery c/o Ruth Thomason, 126 Highway 356 Bee Branch, AR 72013. Final arrangements are entrusted to the Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Mark Anderson
A memorial service for Mark Clayton Anderson, husband of Pamela Collister Anderson, will be at 2 p.m. March 28 at Peace Lutheran Church near Greers Ferry, Ark.

Billie McKay
Billie Sue McKay, 71, of Shirley, Ark., passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Shirley, Ark., to W.H. Hop and Katie Alice (Bradley) Harper.
She was a Christian and a beloved member of the Shirley and Fairfield Bay community. She served the people for 39 years working at the Fairfield Bay Community Club.
She is survived by her siblings Jean Bradford, Louise Williams, Corrine Williams, JD Harper, and Maxine Bramlett, and was preceded in death by Henry Harper, Sherman Harper, Mary Jo Holderfield, and Connie Mack Harper.
She is also survived by her long-time companion Reg Baker; her son Bobby, his wife Judi and their children Greg (Amanda), Keith (Allison), Ashley, and Lucas (Tara); and her son Shelby, his children Kaycee, Kristen, and Deanna. Granny is survived by her great-grandchildren Henry, Maggie, Stella, and Maria, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers: Teddy Bramlett, Bill Isom, Richie Rowley, Andy Henderson, Sammy Bradford, and Paul Harper
Visitation was 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Ark., with Pastor Sam Brown and Keith McKay officiating. Burial will follow in Bradford cemetery. Shirley, Ark.
Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Ark.

Marion Taylor
Marion Jewell Taylor, 92, of Shirley, Ark., passed to be with our Lord on Monday, April 14, 2014. He was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Bentonia, Miss., to Claude E. and Annette Sibley Taylor.
Marion was a lifelong Methodist and attended the First United Methodist Church of Clinton, Ark.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Rhodes Taylor; one son, John C. Taylor and wife Patricia of Silver Point, Tenn.; granddaughter, Erin Taylor and husband Jack Staley; and five great-grandchildren, all presently residing in Oklahoma. He also has two step-daughters, Cyndi Sullivan and husband Steve of Conway, Ark., and Rebecca Sartini of Benton, Ark.; two step-sons, James Peevey of Collierville, Tenn., and Michael Peevey and wife Keri of Zebulon, N.C.; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
After graduation from high school, Marion enlisted in the Army Air Force where he spent 22 years before retiring in the rank of major. He participated in the Berlin Airlift in 1945. He subsequently served at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Miss., Scott AFB in Illinois, and retired from James Connelly AFB, Texas. After retiring, he formed and managed a forms printing company for 10 years before retiring and moving to Van Buren County. Marion and his wife of 62 years, Dorris Robertson Taylor, who preceded him, spent vacations from 1963 to 1984 on Greers Ferry Lake in Van Buren County. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Taylor. and one granddaughter, Logan Elise Taylor.
In 1968 Marion’s life was saved by AA. He spent the next 46 years attending many meetings around the country and meeting many people he always considered his friends.
After retiring in 1984, they moved to Van Buren County and built his present home. He helped with founding Foods for Life in Clinton and worked many years as a volunteer in the county with numerous projects for the county. He said many times the county was the best he had ever lived in. He was a true southern gentleman and his friends and family will miss him greatly.
There will be a Memorial Service honoring his life with Full Air Force Military Honors at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Ark., with Pastor George Odell officiating. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. until the service begins.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association, 10411 West Markham, Suite 130, Little Rock, AR 72205-1409.
Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Ark.

Leo Humphreys
Leo Humphreys, 95, of Clinton passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was born Nov. 20, 1918, the third son of Richard M. Humphreys and Anna Pearl Stachey.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Delora Qualls Humphreys; his daughter, Conie S. Reamey of Clinton; and sister, Jessie Pearl Blocker of Hot Springs. As Papa, he nurtured three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Leo served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the period 1938-40 and was stationed at Pierce, Idaho. He joined the Army Air Corp in August 1941. After completing the A & E Course in 1942, he was assigned to a crew and transitioned to Northern Australia and Port Moresby, New Guinea. He flew 38 missions as Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner. On a bombing run on a cargo ship in Hansa Bay, the crew scored two direct hits sinking the ship. TSgt Humphreys was credited with shooting down two Japanese zeros receiving the Air medal with two Oak leaf clusters. When the military expanded the enlisted grades from E7 to E8 and E9, he was in the first groups selected for promotion to each grade. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1965.
He was a Life member of the Gideon’s International, Clinton Camp and longtime member of the Hot Springs and Mt. Ida Camps. He was a member of the Black Springs Lodge #543, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason in both the Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies. He served on the Reed cemetery Board and was instrumental in establishing the South Fork Fire Department. In Mt. Ida, he also served as Justice of the Peace. He loved the Lord and served as Sunday school teacher, Lay Speaker, and numerous positions within his church.
Leo was preceded in death by his five brothers, Rudolph, Ralph, Richard (Dick) Jr., Mervin, and Billy Max Humphreys; one sister, Anita Waggoner; and son, Randall Gabe Humphreys.
Memorials may be made to the Gideon’s, P.O. Box 237, Clinton, AR 72031.
Visitation was held Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5-7 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Muddy Creek Church of God, Story, and burial was at the Reed cemetery. Military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
Pallbearers: Douglas Reamey, John Lindner, Joseph Alvarado, Johnny Lindner, Andrew Love and Rick Turner.
Honorary pallbearers: James Leo Lindner, Sebastian Love and Herbert K. Reamey, III.
The family would like to give special thanks to Ozark Medical & Pediatrics Clinic, Ozark Health Home Care, Ozark Health Medical Center, and to Leo’s dedicated care givers. You have been a blessing!

Bill Dowling
William “Bill” Arthur Dowling Jr., 55, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Bill was born Oct. 25, 1958, in North Babylon, N.Y., to Marion and William Dowling. Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force and the Arkansas National Guard.
He had a true zest for life. In his free time, Bill enjoyed camping, fly fishing, stock car racing and riding motorcycles. However, spending time with his boys was his favorite pastime.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Dowling. Survivors include his son, Christopher Dowling of Borger, Shawn Dowling of Fritch; three grandchildren, Caley, Maddox, Jericho; sisters, Nancy Pocorroba of New York, Barb Piazza and her husband, Tom, of Missouri, Kathy Quarles and her husband, Norm, of Arkansas, Debbie Dowling of New York, and Lisa Dowling of Arkansas.
Arrangements are being made for a memorial in late May here in Clinton.

Billie Shull
Billie Ray Shull, son of the late King Edward Shull and Mamie Marie Eoff Shull, was born April 3, 1936, at Shirley, Arkansas, and passed from this life to meet his Savior on Sept. 15, 2014, at Searcy, Arkansas. He was baptized into Christ as a teenager.
Mr. Shull was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd Shull and Farrell Dee Shull; brother-in-law Carson Hinesley; sister-in-law Ola Marie Bonds Shull; and nephew Zachary Lawrence.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Judith Ann Rea Shull; son Donald Ray Shull and wife Stephanie of Searcy, Arkansas; daughter Rhonda Ann Shull Ragan and husband Michael of Springfield, Missouri; granddaughters Libby Marie Shull and Courtney Teasley; grandsons Matthew Shull and wife Courtney, Chase Teasley and Colby Teasley; great-grandson Brody Daniel Shull; sisters Emma Jean Shull, Remona Hinesley and Wanda Joy Beck; sister-in-law Jeanie Shull of Spokane, Washington; many nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Matthew Shull, Chase Teasley, Colby Teasley, Eric Shull, Justin Shull and Josh Little. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Dowdy, Jack Towery, Lecil Treat and Glenn Stankuch.
Visitation was Friday at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Saturday at Shirley Church of Christ. Burial was at Bradford cemetery in Shirley, Arkansas. Arrangements by Olmstead Funeral Home.
