Jeanette Louise Nepean White
Mrs. Jeanette Nepean White, age 60, of Wynne, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Mrs. White, born April 29, 1942, in DeKalb Ill., was the daughter of Roy Olson and Nora King Olson. She was a cook for 10 years at Wynwood Nursing Center in Wynne, and was employed at Warwick in Forrest City. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. White married Alvin Leon White in 1959 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2002. She is survived by one son, Bryant White of Wynne; six sisters, Dorothy West of Sycamore, Ill., Betty Marbutt and Gloria Roach of DeKalb, Ill., Ruby Long of Sherwood, Ill., Rosemary Olsen on Genoa, Ill., and Carol Simpson of Cortland, Ill; two brothers, John Nepean of Lanark Ill., and Lonnie Olsen of DeKalb Ill.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Votaw and Colleen Nepean, and a brother, Robert Nepean.
Funeral services for Mrs. White were held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jimmie Pat Owens
Mr. Jimmie Pat Owens, age 62, of Widener, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Owens worked in plant maintenance for Mid-South Milling and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Owens is survived by his wife Wanda Owens of Widener; three daughters, Melissa Barnes of Earle, Amanda Bokker of Forrest City and Selina Havener of Hughes; two sons, Bruce Bottorff of West Helena and Jimmie B. Owens of Germany; his mother, Georgia Lynchard of West Memphis; two sisters, Francis Oxner of Rondo and Betty Jo Owens of Pine Bluff; a brother, Johnny Butler of Hughes and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Owens will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at 12 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Memphis. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Eligha C. Wilder
Mr. Eligha C. Wilder, age 94, of Moro, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Moro. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Wilder is survived by his wife, Mary Wilder and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation services for Mr. Wilder will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, from 12 to 5 p.m. at J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at New Hope M. B. Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. S. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Cedric Lee Flenoy
Mr. Cedric Lee Flenoy, age 23, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Mr. Flenoy, born June 22, 1979, in Little Rock, was the son of Christine Summerville and Willie Flenoy, both of Forrest City. He was a member of New Light M.B. Church.
Mr. Flenoy is survived by his parents; six sisters, Catrina Summerville, Marquita Williams and Elishia Summerville, all of Forrest City, Erica Dilliards of Little Rock, and Elekira Flenoy and Eyana Flenoy, both of Marianna; three brothers, Terrell Summerville of Forrest City and Willie Matthews and Cortrail Matthews, both of Marianna, and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Flenoy will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at 2 p.m. at New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Jesse McClure officiating. Burial services will follow at Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Marianna Funeral Home.

Jimmie Pat Owens
Mr. Jimmie Pat Owens, age 62, of Widener, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at his home.

Edward Everett Ferguson
Mr. Edward Everett "Eddie" Ferguson, age 54, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Ferguson, born July 15, 1948, in Forrest City, was the son of Edward Ferguson and Gladys Anderson Ferguson. He made his home in Forrest City for all of his life and was a builder and a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Ferguson was the husband of Tina Trapp and she survives him along with a son, Douglas Ferguson and a daughter, Laura Beth Ferguson, all of the home. Mr. Ferguson is also survived by his mother, of Forrest City, and two sisters, Judy Smith of Little Rock and Eva Ferguson of Atlanta.
Visitation services for Mr. Ferguson will be held Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Graham Memorial with burial following at Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ferguson Family Memorial Fund, in care of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Richard Burns
Mr. Richard Burns, age 68, of Hughes died Monday, April 29, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife, Rosetta Burns of Hughes; two daughters, Anner Lee Burns of Detroit, Mich., and Marva Lee Burns of Hughes; seven sons, Richard Burns I, and Tommie Lee Burns of Detroit Mich., Allen Brooks and John Eddie Burns of Hughes, Monroe Burns of Wichita, Kan., and Richard Burns and Jimmie Burns of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Sam Wesley of Germany; 45 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Burns will be held Sunday, May 5, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthonyville Funeral Home Chapel in Anthonyville. Funeral services for Mr. Burns will be held Monday, May 6, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at the Anthonyville Chapel with burial following in St. John Cemetery in Hughes under the direction of Anthony Funeral Home.

Morris James Calvin
Mr. Morris James Calvin, age 49, of Monticello, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Calvin, formerly of Forrest City, was born Sept. 8, 1952, in Proctor, to Daniel and Juanita Digby Calvin. He is survived by four sisters, Christine White, of Forrest City, Bernice Calvin of Mobile, Ala., Lovie Calvin of Heth and Cathy Calvin of Chicago, Ill.; four brothers, Roy Calvin of Widener, George Calvin of Russellville, John Calvin of Forrest City and Junior Calvin of West Memphis.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Calvin will be held Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 1 p.m. in St. Steverson Cemetery in Julius with Rev. Floyd Billups officiating. Woodhouse Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Cecilia Small
Miss. Cecilia Small, age 38, of Heth, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Miss Small, is survived by her grandfather, Cedell Franklin of Louisville, Ken.; a sister, Maxine Smith of Chicago, Ill., and four brothers, Albert Small of Tunica, Miss., Thomas Small of Fort Campbell, Ken., Michael Small of St. Louis, Mo., and Mack Small of Heth.
Visitation services for Miss Small will be held Friday, May 3, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony-West Memphis Funeral Home Chapel North. Funeral services for Miss Small will be held Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Friendship M.B. Church at Shell Lake with burial following in Paradise Garden Cemetery under the direction of Anthony Funeral Home of West Memphis.

Christine Austin Edwards
Christine Austin Edwards, 71, of Forrest City, Arkansas, died October 31, 2002. She was born in Blytheville, Arkansas to Frank and Effie Wooldridge Austin.
Survivors include her loving husband Oral Edwards, a son, Steve Edwards of Marianna, Arkansas, and his wife, Laura; a daughter, Susan Edwards DeRossitt of Memphis, Tennessee, and her husband Dr. James DeRossitt. She will be especially missed by her seven grandchildren, Ashley Edwards Rowton of Maumelle, Arkansas, and her husband Paul; Leigh Edwards of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Steve Edwards, Jr., of Marianna, Arkansas; Frank and John DeRossitt of Memphis, Tennessee; and Jay DeRossitt and wife Katie, and Leigh DeRossitt, all of Austin, Texas.
Chris graduated from Blytheville High School and attended Southwestern University, now Rhodes College, in Memphis, Tennessee. She and Oral moved their family to Forrest City in 1962 and made it their home. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a host of friends and family. She was a 40 year member of First Baptist Church in Forrest City as well as the Wayside Garden Club and Musical Coterie. She was also a member of the P.E.O. sisterhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Katherine Austin Hickey and her husband Ben, of Forrest City.
Visitation will be on Saturday night at First Baptist Church in Forrest City from 6 until 9 pm. Service will be on Sunday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to "The Edwards Fund" at the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, 350 N. Humphreys Blvd., Memphis, TN 38120. This fund provides meal vouchers to needy family members of hospital patients.
