Pearl Greer
Mrs. Pearl Greer, age 84, of Forrest City, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at the Baptist Medical Center.
Mrs. Greer, a housekeeper, was born Oct. 29, 1916 in Meridian, Miss. to Markcus and Creola Green.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Greer Jr. of Toledo, Ohio and Markcus Greer of Forrest City; three daughters, Roberta McFadden of Detroit, Mich., Rosie Dority of Little Rock and Mary Lee Dillard of Forrest City; two sisters, Emma Thompson of Toledo, Ohio and Katie Bailey of Forrest City; 33 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Greer will be Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Greer will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 at 10 a.m. at United Christian M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Scott-Bond Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Lucinda Hardrick
Mrs. Lucinda Hardrick, age 99, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Hardrick was a retired school teacher and a member of Salem M.B. Church, and was on the Mother Board.
She is survived by one daughter, Conella Smith of Milwaukee, Wis.; three sons, Ossie Hardrick of Milwaukee, Wis., Lloyd Hardrick of Forrest City and Theophilus Hardwick, of Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Ida M. Baker and Armetta Davis, both of Gary, Ind.; 29 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and 100 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Kennedy Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Salem M.B. Church, with Rev. Felix Duchworth officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Gardens Cemetery, in Edmonds. Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Michael Aubrey Pervin
Mr. Michael Aubrey Pervin, age 47, of Colt, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Pervin was born on Oct. 24, 1953, in Sheffield, Ala. He was the son of Vernon Aubrey Pervin and the late Roselle C. Chrisco. Mr. Pervin was a resident of Cross and St. Francis Counties for most of his life. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Wynne and was a veteran of the United States Navy and had served during the Vietnam war. Mr. Pervin was a truck driver and a diver for the Search and Rescue Team in St. Francis County for seven years and in the past had been employed in the St. Francis County Sheriff's office as an auxiliary deputy. He was and EMT in Wynne and had also served as a U.S. Marshall. Mr. Pervin was a fireman in Hughes and was a member of the American Legion Post in Forrest City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Roselle Pervin; and by his grandparents, Clara Chrisco, Earnest Chrisco, Eddie Pervin and Cora Ella Pervin.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Dobson Pervin of Colt; his father, Aubrey Pervin of Wynne; two sons, Matt Pervin of Wynne and Jasen Dobson of Caldwell; a daughter, Barbara Westmoreland of Forrest City and four grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Pervin were held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne, with the Rev. David Langley officiating. Burial followed in Smith Chapel Cemetery, in Wynne. Thompson-Wison Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Mathia Marie Tucker
Rev. Mathia Marie Tucker, age 69, of Colt, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, in Little Rock.
Rev. Tucker,the pastor of Mt. Harmony M.B. Church in Colt, was a pastor for the past eight years. She was also a Girl Scout leader with Caldwell Post #298, a leader for Boy Scout Troop #181, a leader in the Caldwell 4-H, a member of the Eastern Star and she was on the board of the East Arkansas Legal Council.
Rev. Tucker is survived by four daughters, Allene Junior, Justine Coleman, Regina Barnes and Jeanette Riley, all of Little Rock; three sons, Cornelius Tucker of Colt, Anthony Tucker of Little Rock and Walter Tucker of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Deloris Woods of Colt and Barbarnette Bolden of Temple Hill, Md.; six brothers, Mansel Twillie, Manuel Twillie, both of Little Rock, Lafayette Twillie of Chicago, Ill., Cecil Twillie of Forrest City, Lawyer Twillie of Oakland, Calif. and Leon Twillie of Los Angeles, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Kennedy Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 at 2 p.m., at Mt. Harmony M.B. Church with the Rev. Theodis Cochran Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Colt. Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dennis "Gate" Anderson
Mr. Dennis "Gate" Anderson, age 47, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 10, 1953, in Forrest City to Jack and Bytha Anderson who preceded him in death. He was a veteran, and worked as a security guard in Minneapolis, Minn, before he became ill and moved back to Forrest City in December of 2000.
Mr. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Alexis Denise Anderson of Forrest City and a brother, Frank Anderson of Muskegee, Mich. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at 2 p.m. at New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Jesse McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Cornelius Burns
Mrs. Cornelius Burns, age 96, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001 in her home.
Mrs. Burns, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 16, 1904, in Widener to Jackson Jones and Helen Jones.
She is survived by three sons, Waverly Burns of Chicago, Ill., Charles Burns of Forrest City, and Cecil Burns of Widener; a daughter, Lovie Smith of Chicago; a sister, Samantha Shelby of Evanston, Ill.; 86 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, 39 great-great grandchildren and nine great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Burns will be Friday, Feb. 9, 2001 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Burns will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Elder J. B. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.

Steven Lee Throgmartin
Steven "Steve" Lee Throgmartin, age 37, of Moro, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Throgmartin was born on Feb. 21, 1963, in Wilson, and was the son of Leman Throgmartin and Dorothy Chambers Throgmartin. He was a farmer and a member of a pentecostal church.
Mr. Throgmartin was preceded in death by his father, Leman Throgmartin in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Chiquita Throgmartin, of the home; his mother, Dorothy Throgmartin, of the home; three sons, Randy Green of Tucker, Deon Green of Warren, and Donny Green of Danville; two daughters, Shelly Green Harris and Angie Green, both of Searcy; three brothers, Danny Throgmartin of Alabama, Donald Throgmartin of Proctor, and Michael Throgmartin of Mississippi; one sister, Rachel May of Hickory Flat, Miss., and seven grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Throgmartin will be Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Morgan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m., at Morgan Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Ricky Needham officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery under the direction of Morgan Funeral Home.

Juanita Draughon Nichols
Mrs. Juanita Draughon Nichols, age 80, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Nichols was born on Sept. 29, 1920, in Morten, Miss. She was the daughter of Aruthur Brown Draughon and Minnie B. Parkman Thomas. Mrs. Nichols had lived in West Memphis and Forrest City all of her life. She was a housewife and a Baptist.
Mrs. Nichols was married to Wallace Nichols in 1942 and he survives her along with, a daughter, Janice Lee, of Cullman, Ala.; a son, Roger Nichols, of West Memphis; three sisters, Wanda Sanders, of Wynne, Freida Wood, of Magnolia, and Dolores Findlay, of Lafayette, Ind.; a brother, Love Draughon, of Wynne; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Aruthur Draughon, in 1991.
Visitation for Mrs. Nichols will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at 2 p.m., at Loughridge Cemetery in Colt, with Rev. Berlon Davis officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pencolia Saine
Mrs. Pencolia Saine, age 85, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Forrest City.
Mrs. Saine was a homemaker and was preceded in death by a brother, Booker Hansberry Sr., who died on Dec. 23, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Roosevelt Saine Sr., of Forrest City; a daughter, Dorothy Goodwin, of Chicago, Ill.; a son, Roosevelt Sain Jr., of Forrest City; two brothers, Q.B. Bradley, of New Jersey and R.D. Bradley, of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Saine will be Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Kennedy Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at 11 a.m., in the Pine Tree Church of God in Christ in Caldwell, with the Elder Verlee Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Stanley Grove Cemetery. Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

William M. Crick
Mr. William M. Crick, age 84, of Crossett, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett.
Mr. Crick was born May 19, 1916, in Marked Tree. He was the son of Nancy Margaret Adeline and Thomas Joshua Crick. Mr. Crick was a retired clerk for Wal-Mart and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a Christian and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Crossett.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Lee Smith Crick, of Crossett; one daughter, Martha Sue Bohnen, of Crossett; two sons, Jerry Wayne Crick, of Simpsonville, S.C. and Mark Anthony Crick, of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.
Visitation was today, Jan. 11, 2001, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Rumph-Owers Funeral Home in El Dorado. There will be a graveside service for Mr. Crick on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at 2 p.m., in Arlington Cemetery, with Dr. Jerry W. Crick and Rev. Don Rotherbush officiating. Rumph-Owers Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of the arrangements.
