HARRIS, Helen E., 81, of Tucson, passed away on November 28, 1999. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert and one daughter, Sheri. She will be lovingly missed by two sons, Robert P. (Sara), Ed (Elvia); five daughters, Kay (Keith) Johnson, Connie (Tom) Massey, Linda Macaluso, Lisa (Phil) Lauzon, Patti (Mike) Porter, twelve grandchildren, Bob, Dianne, Michele, Kimberly, Daren, Gene, Anissa, Vanessa, Nick, Paul, Vince, Robert; seven great grandchildren, Sara, Wes, Seb, Emma, Patrick, Dylan, Tyler, and Kaitlyn; a new arrival due on November 30. Helen and her husband moved from Indiana to Tucson in 1944. They were the proprietors of Diamond X Feed and Supply which has been in business for 52 years. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Crippled Children's Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements made by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

HAZELMAN, Claire Marie (Piesbergen), 72, entered eternal life on November 24, 1999. She is survived by a son, David Hazelman; two daughters, Donna Sanders and Lisa Martin; a brother, Donald Piesbergen and five grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 3, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. in EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Road. A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 2, 1999 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY. Committal will take place in East Lawn Palms cemetery Mausoleum.

LINDSEY, Richard E., 66, born February 14, 1933, passed into the hands of Our Lord on Sunday, November 28, 1999. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 48 years, Mary; the six children he graciously gave his life to: daughters, Terry and Dee; sons, Robert, Craig, Richard and David; his children-in-law, Cathy, Patty, and Diane; his 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Donielle, Peaches, Mike, Taylor, Chris, Renee, Katie, James and Jennifer; his aunt, Bettylou; and uncle, Ronald Keith. His pride and joy and devoted pets, Rosco and Toby. He has joined his son John in heaven. Richard worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for forty years and was a member of the U.T.U. for the same amount of time. He gave joy and love with great honor to all the lives who knew him and he will be missed by many. Richard is not gone…He waits for us in another room. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 1999 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway. Graveside service immediately following at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

MIRANDA, Rita 'Tita' Trujillo. Rest in peace beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. passed away Saturday, November 27, 1999. A Tucson native, born on May 22, 1914, peacefully passed into the hands of the Lord in the presence of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Miranda; brother, Juan Trujillo (Artimesa); sister, Lupe Bonillas; daughter-in-law, Elivia Miranda; grandson, Albert Miranda, Jr.; sisters, Maria Martinez, Sara Tadeo, Maria Antonia (Manny) Celaya.
She is survived by daughters and sons, Gloria Cruz, Pearl Miranda, Guillermo Miranda, Esther (Henry) Martinez, Sylvia (Julio) Robles, Albert (Toni) Miranda, Rudy (Virginia) Miranda.
She will be missed so very much. We love you, Mom.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Thursday, December 2, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. MOBLEY, Elizabeth A., 98, passed away November 26, 1999. Survived by her sister, Zora Gwinn. Services will be private. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.

PERALTA, Victor M., 62, of Tucson, passed away on November 26, 1999. He is survived by his spouse, Trinidad; one daughter, Elizabeth Morales; one brother, Jesus (Carmen) Peralta; one nephew, Phillip (Martha) Perez and many other nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Interment South Lawn cemetery. Arrangements made by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

WALTER S. 'CHIP' STERN, JR. - Loving father, brother, uncle, and friend, joined God on November 23, 1999. Predeceased by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Stern, Sr. Survived by son, Christopher; brothers, Michael and William (Kathy); Mr. and Mrs. William E. Stein and family and many loving cousins.
Walt graduated from the University of Arizona in 1979 in Political Science. He then became a real estate broker. Later, he opened the popular coffee house and bookstore, ‘Milagro' and developed the center where it was located.
Walt loved life and he will be missed by his family and all those he touched.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Compass Healthcare, Inc.

TEEPLE, Muriel J., 79, of Tucson, AZ formally of Harrisville, MI, died November 28, 1999 after a two-year, courageous battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ross G. Teeple, Sr. in 1986; and one granddaughter, Beth Ann MacGregor in 1978; and great-granddaughter, Britany Reihl in 1994.
Survived by two daughters, Catherine A. (Frederick) Travis of MI and Barbara Sue (William) Hoover of Las Vegas, NV; and two sons, Ross G. Teeple, Jr. of Tucson, and Edwin B. Teeple of Mesa, AZ; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, also a dear friend, Charlie Halonen of MI and Tucson.
Arrangements for cremation were handled by Gillies Funeral Home of MI. A memorial service will be held in the spring in Harrisville, MI.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.

BOL, Hila America Mitchell Nelson Gates Brown, was born on September 19, 1906 and passed away November 23, 1999. preceded in death by parents, John Robert Mitchell and Bethiah Spiers of Bridgeton, IN; husbands, George J.H. Nelson, Chester L. Gates, George F. Brown and Otto W. Bol. Survivors include son, George S. Nelson; niece, Carolyn M. Schaefer; stepson, Bill Gates and nephew, Zack Gates; stepson, William Brown; stepsons, Forrest and Leslie; stepdaughters, Gwen and Darlene Bol. Hila was Builder and Director of Prayer House Lodge, Lakeside, Arizona and Director of Prayer House Lodge, Tucson, Arizona. Memorial service to be held at the Prayer House Lodge, 2449 E. 7th St., Tucson, AZ, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 3rd, 1999. The family wishes memorial donations to be designated to The Prayer House Lodge, Tucson, AZ 85719.

CASTANEDA, Lucy R., 71, caring Wife, beloved and loving Mother, precious Grandmother and Godmother, devoted Daughter and Sister, sweet Aunt, Cousin and dear friend was lifted on the wings of angels into Joyful Peace and Eternal Life with Our Heavenly Father on November 29, 1999.
Lucy is survived by her husband, Simon Castaneda; her son, Arthur R. (Sandra) Castaneda; daughters, M. Melina Castaneda, Julie C. (Donald) Simon; four beautiful grandchildren, James (13), Andrew (8), Alicia (8), Deseret (20). Lucy's grandchildren loved their 'Nana' and she adored each of them. Lucy is also survived by her mother, Lupe L. Romero; sisters and brothers, Nellie Enriquez, Rebecca Enriquez, Jose Romero of Tucson, Arizona, Mary Ann Perez and Ediberto Romero of California.
Lucy was deeply loved for her sweet and quiet elegance, endless faith in God, her selflessness and devotion to family, and will be greatly missed by all that were blessed by knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 02, 1999 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, December 03, 1999, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Vail cemetery.

DAVIS, Nina M., age 81, died November 22, 1999 in Tucson. Nina is survived by three sons, James, Steve, Pete (Cindy) Davis; daughter, Cindy (Scott) MacKay; three grandchildren, Tracy MacKay, Mark, John (Melinda) Davis and a great-grandchild, Andrew, all residents of Tucson. Remembrance service for Nina and Walter will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 1999 at ARIZONA MORTUARY, University Chapel, 7 E. University Blvd., located at Stone and University.

RALPH H. DeDOMINICO, 74, of Tucson, died November 28, 1999, due to chronic heart disease. He was a US Navy veteran. Husband of Mary (Frei) DeDominico of Tucson; father of Debra (DeDominico) Hersey of Tucson; brother of Dorothy (DeDominico) Sissick of Ramsey, NJ; grandfather of Valerie Cellen of Tucson. Survived by children, Amanda Rockwell of Albuquerque, NM, Christina Flores, Richard Daniel II and Sean Flores all of Tucson; parents, Jesse and Eleanor of El Paso, TX; brothers, Jesse 'Andy' of San Antonio, TX, Vincent of Rio Rancho, NM and sister, Mary Frances Zamarripa of El Paso, TX; maternal grandmother, Lorenza Pavilla of Tucson and paternal grandmother, Maria Jesus Flores of Coolidge, AZ. Rosary will be 7:30 p.m., Thursday at HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME. Mass, 11:00 a.m. Friday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment at All Faiths Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

HOCKENBERRY, Jessie C., 86, of Tucson, died November 27, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Kay A. (John) Nelson of Tempe; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sam (Velma) Hockenberry of Tohma, WI; grandchildren, Michael (Chiemi) Nelson of Beaverton, OR, Gary (Mary) Nelson of Chandler, James (Cynthia) Hockenberry of Appleton, WI and David (Kathy) Hockenberry of Sun Prairie, WI; great-grandchildren, Andrew Nelson, Valerie Nelson, Matthew Hockenberry, Josh Hockenberry and Katie Mae Hockenberry. Mrs. Hockenberry was predeceased by her husband, Edward 'Hockey' Hockenberry on May 15, 1968 and her son, Sam Hockenberry on November 10, 1995. Graveside service Thursday, 3:00 p.m., Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

KOKTAVY, Bruce Allen, joined God on November 28th, 1999. Survived by his father, Charles R. Koktavy; brothers, Scott A. Koktavy and Brian D. Koktavy; many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
Bruce was a cheerful, free soul who had fun with life and life had fun with him. All who had the joy of knowing him were blessed and he cared for all of you. It is hard to imagine how we will carry on without him. He will live in our hearts and in our memories as a wonderful son, brother and friend.
Memorial services will be held at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church located at 710 S. Kolb Rd. on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

WILLIAM H. KUNDE - Of Tucson, Born November 30, 1922 in Chicago, IL, died November 29, 1999. Survived by wife, Joyce Yvonne Kunde; four daughters, Sharon (Douglas) Pulsifer of Amarillo, TX, Lois (Mike) Kennealy of Tucson, Gail (Joel) Bomlen and Donna (Spencer) Bonenfant, of Sierra Vista; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr Kunde was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of The American Legion Post #36. Memorial service date and time pending, will be held at the American Legion Post #36 with Chaplain Harry Wineinger presiding. Donations may be made in his name to American Legion

LAGUNA, Tony R., 72, passed away Monday, November 29, 1999 at St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. He was born June 01, 1927 in Alto, Arizona. He is survived by brothers, Jose Laguna and Nicolas (Becky) Laguna; and sister, Mary Helen Quiroga; and numerous nephews and nieces. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPEL, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Private burial services will be conducted at a later date. LAURSEN, Grace, passed away in Tucson, November 27, 1999. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 23, 1910 but spent the first 55 years of her life in Denmark. She is survived by her husband, Dan Laursen and daughters, Helle K. White of Richardson, TX and Naja McKenzie of Tucson. A memorial service will be held at Grace St. Paul Episcopal Church, 2332 E. Adams on December 3, 1999 at 3:00 p.m.
