Margaret Jayne Todd, 62, of Tucson, died March 9, 2000. Wife of Paul E.; mother of Maureen K. Serafin, Thomas B. (Maureen) Todd, Martha A. (Patrick) West, Melinda G. Todd, Michele M. (Quinn) Todd, Jay H. (Kellie) Todd, Monica L. (Michael) Hensien; 15 grandchildren, Josh, Paul and Zachary Serafin, Erin and Lauren Todd, Logan West, Erica Sagvold, Cory Copeland, Justin, Jacey and Astin Chavez, Jenna, Josh, and Jayme Davis, and Maggie Hensien.
Jayne, our most loving, caring, courageous and unselfish wife, mother, grandmother and best friend has joined her parents in peace and eternal life in heaven.
Her love lives on in her husband, Paul; her children; and her grandchildren.
Jayne is a 1956 graduate of Amphitheater High School and a 1960 graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing. She worked 35 years as a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, where she was honored for her dedicated service.
She fulfilled the selfless, caring ideals of nursing throughout her life.
We thank God for the time we were able to share with her in love, compassion and life's lessons. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she has touched.
Please wear a green ribbon in recognition of all organ donors and recipients.

VREELAND, Gladys, Born in Stockton, IL April 2, 1902 and died February 26, 2000 in Tucson. preceded in death by husband, Henry Vreeland; and son, Eugene Bruce. Survived by son, Robert Bruce of Bakersfield, CA; and daughter-in-law, Miriam Bruce of Tucson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private burial service will be held.

WARD, Donald L., 65, of Greenville, OH, died Saturday, March 11, 2000 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born August 20, 1934 in Sidney, Ohio to Alfred J. 'Jake' and Marguerite Mary (Bauman) Ward. Retired in 1994 from Corning Inc. of Greenville after 37 years. Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Greenville and the Knights of Columbus of the Church. Member Greenville American Legion, V.F.W. & Moose Lodge. preceded in death by parents; wife, Barbara J. (Millet) Ward in 1992; and brother, Bernard Ward in 1986. Survived by son, Steven R. (Traci) Ward of Greenville, OH; daughters, Lisa (Clem) Shimp of Union City, OH; and Julie (Kirk) Affolder of Tucson; grandchildren, Rich Shimp, Suzy Brock, Craig Shimp, Derrick Affolder, Todd Affolder, Jennifer Ward, and Adam Ward; great-grandchildren, Alex and Katie Brock; brother, Al (Shirley) Ward of Mansfield, OH; sister, Patricia Ward of Cincinnati, OH; also numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 16, 2000 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville, OH, with Rev. Father John White officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Church cemetery in Greenville, OH. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 15 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Prayer Services at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday. BERGSTROM, Carol A., 58, of Tucson, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2000. Survived by children, Diana (Ernest) Phillips, Dale and Daryl Bergstrom; grandchildren, Ernie Phillips, Douglas Bergstrom and Brandon Phillips. Carol was a member of the Tucson Miniature Society. Funeral Service 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Rev. Gary Siefers of Casas Adobes Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Park cemetery, Calumet Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

CAMERON, Carl Clinton, 82, died March 10, 2000. Husband of Eleanor; father of Marianne (Rick) Golike; Becky (Mike) Barnett, James (Rosa) Cameron and Robin (Joan) Cameron; survived by 11 grand- children; brother of Helen Bendixen and Josephine Cameron. He was in the U.S. Air Force for 34 years, retiring as a Colonel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Bisbee, Scottish Rite of Tucson, York Rite, HI-12 #439, Past president of The HI 12, Past president of Sunshine Kiwanis. Carl also volunteered at the College of Agriculture at the U of A. The family suggests donations, in Carl's name, be made to Wolcott Foundation Inc., c/o HI-12 #439, P.O. CARR, Robert C., (April 6, 1928 – March 13, 2000). Survived by wife, Mary Ellen Thompson; daughters Shirley R. Carr and Cynthia (Mortie) Person; son Robert C. Jr. (Veronica); sisters Mary Lou (Leonard) Brown, Janice (Vincent) Burton and Fola Williamson; brother Clarence (Edith) Carr; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and his children's mother, Dorothy M. Carr. Mr. Carr retired from the USAF (M/Sgt) in 1966 and the Pima County Sheriff's Department (Sgt) in 1978. Services will be private. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Tucson.

GIBBS, Melvin M., 77, of Tucson, died Sunday, March 12, 2000. Born January 2, 1923 in Dunwell, NE to Edwin W. and Mabel Gibbs. Survived by wife, Eula; children, Roger (Rozanne), Bonnie (Dennis) Nicholas, Melvin (Mary), Shirley (Chuck) Lagneaux; grandchildren, Christi Stobaugh, Mike Gibbs, Tammy Donnelly, Dennis Lindholm, Angela Lagneaux, James Nicholas, Saundra Semro, Christopher Gibbs, Chuck Lagneaux, Randy and Crystal Gibbs; seven great grandchildren; brother, Warren Gibbs. preceded in death by daughter, Karen Halverson; and granddaughter, Cheri Nicholas. Mr. Gibbs was a member of VFW Post 549, DAV #2, American Legions Post 36, Military Order of Cooties #2, Southern AZ Chapter of Am Prisoners of War and the Old Pueblo Square Dance Club #145. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment follows in East Lawn Palms cemetery. GONZALES, Angel, 76, of Tucson, passed away March 11, 2000. Survived by daughters, Eva (Armando), Aurelia (Jesus), Leticia, Rosie (Larry), and Selma; son, Manuel (Cathy); three sisters; and four brothers. Also survived by 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2000 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Friday, March 17, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Monica Church, 212 Medina. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. LILY COOK HARRIS 'APODACA'
June 13, 1923 to March 12, 2000
preceded in death by beloved husband, Cliff Harris; brother, Bill Cook. Survived by sister, Virginia Apodaca; son, Clifford (Gloria) Harris; daughter, Cathy Harris and Ann (Jerry) Carlson. Also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court of St. Monica's Church. Lily was a gentle heart and loved by many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m., also at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Final resting place will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Cypress, California. HINES, Maudette Kiesner, 90, of Tucson, passed away on March 10, 2000 at The Casa Blanca Care Home in Tucson. Mrs. Hines moved to Tucson from Chicago in mid 1950's with here husband Eugene M. Hines, residing in Indian Ridge and Villa Catalina for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband. Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.

JONES, Ruth M., 82, died December 27, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona. Born February 13, 1917 in Swedesboro, NJ. preceded in death by her husband, William R. Jones III. Survived by son, William R. Jones of San Manuel, AZ, daughters, Khristine M. Lujan of Tucson, AZ and Barbara L. Lawrence of Yuma; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She had worked as a manager in retail sales. After retirement she was a homemaker who enjoyed her retirement time as a doll maker. Graveside Services Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Carrol Harkness officiating. Arrangements by Johnson Mortuary, Yuma, AZ 520-782-4384.

MORAN, Earle D., 85, died March 12, 2000. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

Josephine Lee Brady O'Rielly a sixth generation Tucsonan, passed away March 11, 2000. The granddaughter of Peter R. Brady, who settled in Tucson in the 1850s, she was born in Tucson on February 21, 1898 to Josephine Lee and Richard Garnet Brady, a prominent Tucson rancher. Her mother died two weeks later. Her paternal stepmother, Antonia Brady, raised her. At the age of 10 and after Antonia died, Jo went to live with her father, who was remarried to Bernice Smith, and a brother and three sisters at 375 South Stone Ave. She attended Immaculate Heart Academy and later, the University of Arizona where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Jo married Frank C. O'Rielly in October of 1924, six months after he had opened O'Rielly Motor Co. which, last March, celebrated its 75th anniversary as a Chevrolet dealership in Tucson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Charles M.) Pettis; her son, Buck (Bobbie Corr) O'Rielly; a grandson, Rich O'Rielly, all of whom live in Tucson; and a granddaughter, Amy (Rob) Draper of Arlington, VA; three great-grandchildren, Katherine Lee Draper, John O'Rielly Draper, and Ryan Rainsford Draper; and her devoted companion for the last 12 years, Sister Darlene Hoch. Two nieces and two nephews also survive her.
She was a member of PEO, Chapter J., and the Board of Visitors of St. Luke's in the Desert. During WWII, Jo served as a Gray Lady and worked many volunteer hours at the Tucson Veterans Hospital. Her passion was her family. She will always be remembered by family and her many friends as a kind, caring and generous daughter, sister, wife, mother, grand-, and great-grandmother, and friend. She lived in three centuries. Her life was long and fruitful and had as its principle characteristics the love she gave to all who knew her and the love she received in return.
A Memorial Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 3201 E. Presidio Rd., Tucson, at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the ORFA Foundation, Box 31000, Tucson, AZ 85751; or to any charity or foundation of your choice.

LOLA C. REIS of Tucson since 1952, succumbed to a lengthy illness on Friday, March 10, 2000. She was born in Quincy, Illinois, May 3, 1919. Lola was preceded in death by husband, Vincent G. Reis, who passed away in 1970. Lola is survived by sons, Vincent Anthony (Norma) and Joseph George Reis; daughters, Delores May Pothier (Richard) of CA and Mary Ann Reis; grandchildren, Richard Benoir Pothier, Janine Marie Hernandez, Patrice Lynette Casem, Vincent Anthony Reis Jr., Michelle Lynn Reis, Thomas Jason Reis, Joanna Beverly and Joseph George Reis Jr., and Jessica Rosanna Gowan. Lola is survived also by great-grandchildren, Richard Benoir Pothier Jr., Timothy Michael Pothier, Cheri Lynne Pothier; Brandon Grabriel and Adam Vincent Hernandez, and David Gowan Jr.; cousin, Celesta Beatrice Rickets (Walter); and brother-in-law, Walter Reis (Harvena).
Lola was a loving and well-liked person with many friends who retired many years ago from F.W. Woolworth's. She loved to shop, and was always buying gifts and cards for family and friends' birthdays and special occasions. Lola was active with her Senior Citizens Organization and enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo with her friends for many years. Lola enjoyed traveling to Quincy, IL to visit friends and relatives remaining there and in Missouri. She would frequently visit California to see friends and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Short trips to Las Vegas were fun-filled and a special treat for our Mom. Lola was a beloved mother and grandparent and will be greatly missed. A Rosary will be held atthe ARIZONA MORTUARY UNIVERSITY CHAPEL, 7 E. University Blvd., Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 7:00 p.m., with viewing between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd., Thursday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Hope cemetery.

SEGINSKI, Helen Veronica Mercier, born April 1, 1910 in Mt. Carmel, PA, died March 10, 2000 in Phoenix. preceded in death by husband, Ignatuisa Seginski. Survived by twin sisters, Sr. Mary Angelita and Sr. Mary Joanette of Lodi, NJ; children, William (Cora) Seginski of Phoenix, John (Tanica) Seginski of Reno, NV and Marge Seginski of Tucson; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Helen devoted her life to her family. She was unselfish, caring and knew no enemies.
She made many friends late in life at Tucson Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Her special friendship with Anna J., brought her much joy, she died peacefully in her sleep as she wished. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Tucson Association of the Blind.

WILLIAMS, Idella (Perry), age 90, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away March 13, 2000. She is survived by sons, Melvin, George, and Sephus Washington, of Tucson, Hubert Washington of New York, Willis Perry of Tucson; daughters, Alberta Mayes, Mary Baumgardner, Wanda Baker of Tucson, Katherine Hunter, TX.; three generations of grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at Emmanuel Grace Apostolic Church, 1850 W. San Marcos Blvd, with Elder Arthur Pierce officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at South Lawn cemetery. Arrangements by family owned, ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway)
