CARRILLO, Lucia, 96, of Tucson, passed away May 16, 2000. preceded in death by sons, Ruben and Ramon 'Tito'. Survived by daughters, Lucy Carrillo (Frank) Gradillas and Eddie Taylor; sisters, Josefina and Mercedes. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Monday, May 22, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. WILLIAM GAIL (SOLOMAN CREED) DUNCAN - The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. He gave us the wonderful gift of Bill's presence in our lives and although he was only with us for a short time, we will love him for all eternity.

ALEXANDER EMMA - Our loving Alex was born in London, England July 29, 1913 and passed away in Tucson May 18, 2000. He is survived by his beloved wife Layah; brothers, Joseph and Charles of New York; sons, Lawrence (Eleanor), Robert (JoAnn) and Jeffrey of North Carolina; stepchildren, Dean (Michele), Deborah (Jim) and Don (Nora); and 10 grandchildren. Friends are invited to a memorial service at Temple Emanu-El, 225 N. Country Club Rd., Tucson, 85716, Sunday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Emanu-El's Torah or Pre-school funds.

EPPS, Eunice Wise, died peacefully on May 17, 2000, in Live Oak (San Antonio) Texas, after a short illness. Eunice was survived by her husband, George Epps of Spring Branch, Texas; and her sister, Mabel Willey of Porterville, California. Eunice had been actively involved in Wise Trucking, originally in Los Angeles, California, and later in Nogales, Arizona, with her first husband, George Wise. She was very active and supportive of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Green Valley, Arizona, and in both the Arizona Conference and the National Conference of her church. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Seventh Day Adventist Church of Green Valley, 1475 West Via de Chapala. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are requested to be made to her church.

LICHTER, Richard Frank, 70, of Willcox, AZ, died May 18, 2000. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2000 at First Baptist Church of Willcox. Burial of cremains will be in Sunset cemetery in Willcox. Contributions to Shriner's Children Hospital, % Sabbar Shrine Temple, 450 S. MERRILL, Evelyn, age 84, of Austin, TX, died on Wednesday, May 17, 2000. She left her birthplace, Tucson, AZ, to marry Jack P. Merrill, a regular officer in the United States Air Force. They traveled many years to assignments both in the United States and overseas, retiring in Austin in the early 70's.
Evelyn loved to dance and listen to the music of Jim Reeves. A member of the Eastern Star, she was also an avid reader and political activist, writing to legislators who came to know her views well.
She will be greatly missed. She is survived by a sister, Carlota Chobal of Miami, FL; a son and wife, J. Charles and Trish Merrill; daughter, Jacqueline Patricia Merrill; daughter and husband, Kelly and Gene Gorham; and daughter and husband, Chris and Forrest Grahmann. Grandchildren include; Laura Merrill and her husband, Chris Sisto; Rachel Merrill; Sean Gorham and wife, Tammy; Matthew Pangborn; Aaron Grahmann and wife, Melissa; Rachel McCasland and husband, Lee; Tara Lindgren and husband, Shannon; and Katherine Merrill. Great-grandchildren include: Ryan and Ashley Gorham; Jack, Dylan, and Copeland Grahmann; Stephanie and Garett Lindgren and Joseph Sisto.
The family would like to thank the Summit at WestLake Hills for their many kindnesses.
A memorial service will be held at WeedCorley-Fish Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Michael Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Capital Memorial Gardens, Pflugerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the University United Methodist Church or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

MOLINARO, Vincent J., 84, died May 18, 2000. Resident of Tucson the past 13 years, moving here from Poughkeepsie, NY. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion; son, Vincent Molinaro; daughter, Patricia Liefer; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, as well as many friends. Retried from IBM, inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame back east in 1996. Loved by everyone that knew him. Rest in Peace Grandpa. OSBORN, Mary, 81, of Waddell, AZ, died May 12, 2000. Mary was born September 18, 1918 in Columbus, NM. She moved to Arizona in 1946 from Los Angeles, California and was a bookkeeper for Aircraft Manufacturing. Survivors include daughters, Elesa Miner, Sherry Le Duc, Georgia McCurry, Becky Parker and Alma Kali; son, Richard E. Osborn; sisters, Florence Clauson and Pauline Judd; brothers, Rupert Johnson, Bill Johnson and Walter Johnson; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Relief Society Room, 14111 W. Indian School Rd. Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 14111 W. Indian School Rd., Litchfield Park. Arrangements by Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Glendale, AZ.

AITKEN, Beverly, Reverend Mother, OCSO, age 62, former Prioress of Santa Rita Abbey in Sonoita, Arizona, went home to God early on Sunday morning, May 21, 2000 after a long illness.
She is survived by her father, Hugh Aitken and stepmother, Phyllis Aitken of Montreal, Canada; her mother, Mignonne; and three brothers, Gary (Martha) Aitken of Indianapolis, Indiana; Grieg (Tonie) Aitken of Virginia; and Glenn (Francine) Aitken of Montreal; and nieces and nephews. And by her Sisters of Santa Rita Abbey.
Beverly Aitken was born on November 11, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. Her family moved to Montreal, Canada when Beverly was very young. After becoming a Catholic as a young adult, she entered Mt. St. Mary's Abbey (Cistercians Nuns of the Strict Observance, also known as Trappistines) in Wrentham, Massachusetts, on August 4, 1961.
Sr. Beverly was among the six Wrentham sisters who founded Santa Rita Abbey in Sonoita, Arizona on February 6, 1972. Sr. Beverly was appointed novice mistress of the new foundation and held that office for 18 years.
On May 31, 1990, Sr. Beverly was elected titular Prioress. In this service she was full of energy and vision, leading the community with enthusiasm and courage. In her teaching to the sisters, she stressed the importance of silence and prayer: loving, whole-hearted, self-sacrificial service to the community. During Mother Beverly's tenure as prioress, the community grew in numbers and deepened and matured.
M. Beverly raised the funds for and oversaw the construction of the new Santa Rita Abbey Retreat House. The new building was complete in 1995 and is used by a growing number of people of all faiths.
Her Sisters remember her with gratitude and love. She respected very much the uniqueness of each sister and strove to support each one in her journey to God. Friends and guests of the monastery who encountered her also experienced her warmhearted support and encouragement.
Visitation will be at Santa Rita Abbey Chapel in Sonoita on Monday, May 22, 2000 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 23. Funeral Mass at the Abbey at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23. Interment to follow at the Abbey. Instead of a floral tribute, contributions to a favorite charity or to the abbey building fund would be gratefully appreciated.

HARRIES, Lucy L., 61, a long time resident of Tucson, was tragically killed in an automobile accident, Wednesday, May 17, 2000 in North Carolina. Lucy was born December 24, 1938 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Harries, her parents, and one grandchild. She is survived by her three children, Pamela J. Craven of Tucson, John C. Craven of Elon College, North Carolina and Timothy G. Craven of Phoenix; three grandchildren; one brother, Larry Watkins of Rocksboro, North Carolina; and her companion, Robert McBride. She worked for many years as an X-Ray Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital, University Medical Center, and several private clinics. A Celebration of her Life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25th at 7481 E. Lakeside Dr., Tucson, friends are invited to attend. For details or directions call 790-3551. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MADD or charity of your choice.

KUHN, Lois M., 90, died Friday, May 19, 2000 in Phoenix, AZ. Born December 17, 1909 in Alliance, OH, Mrs. Kuhn is survived by daughter, Patricia K. McCleary; and grandson, Mark A. McCleary. She worked for the Toledo OH telephone company and was a volunteer at the Tucson Medical Center. Memorial Service 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 22 at St. Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church, 4625 E. River Road, Tucson. Arrangements by A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary in Phoenix, 602-249-2111.

CHRISTOPHERSON, Mary Margaret, known to her many friends as 'MM', passed away May 19, 2000. She was born in Peru, Indiana August 25, 1916. She was married to William S. Hadley in 1938 until his death in 1953, and to Gordon A. Christopherson until his passing in 1979. She is survived by a son, William H. Hadley who resides in California. At the request of the deceased no services are planned. In lieu of flowers or remembrances a quiet moment or two reflecting on the good times you shared with 'MM' is suggested. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.

CRONK, Doris, 74, passed on May 18, 2000. She was born April 19, 1926 in Ridgewood, N.J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cronk. She is survived by her daughter, Florence (Bill) of Tucson; and her son, Steven (Jessie) of Florida; three grandchildren, Troy Turner (Dawn), Nanci Turner Eaton (Dave) and Jeff Turner (Kelly); five great-grandchildren, Adam, Jaque, James, Kylie and Tate, all of Tucson. The family wishes to thank our friends and especially St. Mary's Carondelet Hospice for their love and caring support. Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Carondelet Hospice. A private service is planned.
May we all be comforted by the fact that my mothers gentle soul has found peace in the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
