THOMPSON, William B., 78, head groundskeeper for University Hospital for 27 years, died Sunday, July 16, 2000.
Loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather.
Visitation will be held at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPEL. Funeral Service at Santa Cruz Church. Burial will be at South Lawn cemetery.

BLUMENTHAL, Irving Richard, 87, of Tucson, died July 23, 2000. Born April 7, 1913 in Boston, MA to Rebecca and John Blumenthal. He was a 1935 graduate of Northeastern University where he received his B.S.E.E. He and his family moved to Tucson in 1955 where he worked for Hughes Aircraft as Supervisor of Quality Control until his retirement in 1978. He was Past President of the American Society of Quality Control, Tucson Chapter. Irv is survived by his wife, Blanche; son, Bruce Blumenthal; daughter, Joyce (Joy) Forgang; two stepdaughters, Linda Alpert Greenberg and Beth Omansky Gordon; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Interment in Temple Emanu-El Section of EVERGREEN cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Temple Emanu -El, 225 N. Country Club Rd., Tucson, AZ 85716 in Memory of Irving R. Blumenthal. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, N Oracle Rd & W Miracle Mile.

DOMLER, Helen, 98, of Tucson, passed away July 19, 2000. Mrs. Domler was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse; and son, Joseph. Mr. and Mrs. Domler moved to Tucson from their native home of Minnesota in the 1940's with their children. Her daughters, Mary Ochs, Coralee Holth and Bonnie Mackey, all of Tucson survive her; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be offered at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 24, 2000 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Hope cemetery. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (327-6341).

GOODIN, Bobby G., 64, Died: July 11, 2000. ABBEY FUNERAL HOME (88-1111)

KILEY, Darcy A. Storhaug, 56, of Tucson, former native of Staton Island, N.Y. went home to be with the Lord, on July 21, 2000. She succumbed to Lupus after 20 ys of valiantly fighting. She loved life, family, and friends and will be greatly missed by all who know her. She was born raised and married in Staton Island, N.Y. Mrs. Kiley and her husband, Ron, moved to Tucson in 1984 with their four children, Lynn, Thomas, Tracy & Darci. She worked for Dorado Employment Agency for three years, Viking Freight for 10 and Watkins Motor Lines for the last 2 years, as an Administrative Assistant. She was involved in Casas Adobes Baptist Church and the local Christian Motorcycle Association for years. Mr. and Mrs. Kiley were also founding donors of a scholarship program through the Tucson Community Foundation in memory of their late son Thomas. A Memorial service is planned for Monday July 24, 2000 at Casas Adobes Baptist Chapel, 2131 W. Ina Road at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Paster Phil Lynn. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to The Thomas James Kiley Memorial Fund, c/o the Tucson Community Foundation 6601 E Grant Rd, Suite 111, Tucson 85715. Mrs. Kiley is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ronald; mother, Dorothy; sister, Joyce; brother, John; her three daughters, Lynn, Tracy and Draci; four granddaughters, Jordyn, Kayla, Taylor, and Hunter. she will be missed by her family and all the many people whose lives she touched.

LOPEZ, Raul Navarro, 40, died July 20, 2000. Husband of Cheryl Lopez, father of Raoul and Leslyanne Lopez; step-father of Jason Bennett and Robert Bell. Nephew of Anna Martinez, Rosita Lopez, Rene and Enrique Navarro. Many cousins also survive. Raul was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an A & P mechanic in aviation. He loved airplanes and motorcycles. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Road. Burial in Our Lady of the Desert. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 25 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway with the rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

ROTHES, Dr. Wolfgang, 81, Died: July 16, 2000. VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (888-1111)

TOVAR, Maria Luisa. Age 75, a 55 year resident of Nogales, Arizona, passed away July 21, 2000 in Tucson. Born November 4, 1924 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. She is survived by her loving children, Aurora (Eloy) Aguirre, of Nogales, John Tovar, of Tempe, Nini Tovar S., of Tucson and Gilbert (Marisela) Tovar, of Nogales; four granddaughters; nine grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Aurora Jimenez, of Nogales, Anita (Ernesto) Aguila, of Nogales; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, Ernesto (Guadalupe) Jimenez and Francisco 'Cuate' Jimenez. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2000 at ADAIR'S CARROON MORTUARY in Nogales, Arizona. Rosary recited at 8:00 p.m. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nogales, Arizona. Burial will follow at Nogales City cemetery. 'We will miss your loving smile and we will never forget you. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, part of us went with you, the day God took you home.'

DOUGAN, Josephine Marie, 73, died July 22, 2000. Beloved wife, mother and foster mother for 23 years. Jo brought a smile to your life. Survived by husband, Neil M. Dougan; daughter Francine (Matthew) Palermo; and son, John Dougan; grandchildren, Zabrina and Theodore Jacklin and Amorette Palermo; sisters, Loretta Jaeger and Betty Sutton; and brother, John Andrew Burchak. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2000. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

GALLI, Alexander LaFrance, Retired Army Colonel, of Sun City Vistoso was born May 25, 1925 in Fillmore, Utah and passed away of a severe heart attack, while on vacation, July 16, 2000 in Weed, CA.
Colonel Galli joined the military in 1945 where he served for 30 years retiring from active duty in 1975 while serving at Fort Huachuca as Secretary of the Intelligence School. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Clara, whom he met and married in Verona, Italy while on service duty there.
During his time in service he received numerous awards and medals of commendation; among those most noted were four Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal W/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal W/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Col. Galli served in the Army Occupation of Japan following WWII, also in Italy, Germany, Korea, Vietnam and numerous assignments Stateside as an Intelligence Officer.
After retirement, Alex and Clara moved to San Diego, CA where he worked until 1989.
They moved to Sun City Vistoso in 1990 and became golfing members of Oro Valley Country Club in 1991. Alex was also a member of Tucson Elks Lodge #385 and the Masons. Besides golf, his main interest was in Silver Smithing and Lapidary work.
There will be a celebration of Alex's life at Oro Valley Country Club. Interment will be at the National Memorial cemetery in Riverside, California.
In lieu of flowers a contribution to the charity of your choice is suggested.

MARY JO LAKE - Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, July 21, 2000 in San Diego, CA. Survived by husband of fifty-nine years, Jim; daughters, Nancy Benson of Denver, CO, Mary Lake-Thompson of Oroville, CA; grandchildren, Jim and David Benson, Ann Burney, Sara and Abby Thompson; five great-grandchildren. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Tucson Medical Center, Cardiac Care Unit.

LAVALLEE, Agnes, 85, formerly a Nurse's Aid at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, passed away July 16, 2000 in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Survived by son, Homer (Bud) Lavallee; daughter-in-law, Marcille Lavallee of Tucson.

LAWLESS, Frankie M., 82, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2000. Survived by husband, Leon; son, Ron (Paddi) Pierson of CA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Frankie was active in the O.E.S. in Virginia and Wichita, KS. She was a member of 22nd Street Baptist Church for twenty-eight years. Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2000 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to 22nd Street Baptist Church.

LIEVANOS, Beatrice M., 62, of Tucson, AZ. passed away July 21, 2000. Survived by sons, Jorge and Salvador, Jr. Lievanos; daughters, Mary Rittmann, Ana and Monica Lievanos; sister, Irene Tickle; brother, Carlos Montano; five grandchildren, Raoul, Michael, Shantella, Briana and Phillip; step grandchildren, Jeremy and Wendy; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will always be remembered in our hearts. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2000, from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Thursday, July 27, 2000 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica's Church, 212 W. Medina. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery. LOGAN, Audrey Joanna, born December 26, 1943, died July 22, 2000. Survived by her husband, Sam T. Logan; children, Tony Logan, Belinda Logan, Melody Burton, and Kelly Logan; grandchildren, Ricky, Bobby, Rebecca, Jamie, Amanda, Jeffrey, Jeremy, and Jaime Che; parents, George and Byrl Vaux; siblings, George Vaux, Jr, Van Vaux, and Terry Sue Davila. She was a most loving and caring mother and grandmother who opened her heart to all. She never reached the point of no concern. She and her husband originated Tucson Awning and Screen in 1971 where she was the bookkeeper and accountant. She served on the board of directors for the Flowing Wells Community Effort Counsel for many years and delighted children at Christmas time as Mrs. Santa Claus. She was the core of her family, best of friend to her friends, and will be truly missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our friends for their love and support.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, 3015 N. Oracle Rd.
