Carl Knight
Carl Knight, a former Kingman resident, died Monday, June 28, 1999 in Stanton, Calif. He was 80.
Mr. Knight was born June 4, 1919 in California. He came to Kingman, where he remained for 30 years, from California. Mr. Knight worked as a school bus driver. He retired and moved to California five years ago. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1704, Mohave County Sheriff's Air Search and Rescue and a radio control aircraft club.
He is survived by: wife Lillian; son Donald Treylia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
No services will be held.

Hazel Muriel Johnson
Hazel Muriel Johnson died Tuesday, June 29, 1999 in Kingman. She was 83.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 7, 1915 in Macomb, Okla. She worked in civil service for the post office as a clerk and as postmaster's secretary in Washington.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by: one daughter, Eleanor Muriel Bishop of Kingman; one step-daughter, Judy Wagner of Great Falls, Mont.; one son, Jim R. Stancil of Lake Havasu City; one sister, Lila Winters of Harrah, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematroy
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6350 N. Andrews Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., 33309.

Marie Schultz
Marie Schultz, a part-time Dolan Springs resident, died Saturday, June 26 1999 in White Bear, Minn. She was 84.
Mrs. Schultz was born October 22, 1916. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, No. 88 and of Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church in Dolan Springs. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9833.
Mrs. Schultz is survived by: one sister, Gerry De Yaeger of Dolan Springs; two sons, Kenneth Schultz of Minnesota, and Wallace Schultz of Las Vegas; four daughters, Donna Carlson, Jeanne Hunt, and Shirley Arcard, all of Minnesota, and Mary Jane Furlong of California; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in White Bear Lake, Minn.

John Gerald Billingsley
John Gerald "Jerry" Billingsley died Sunday, June 27, 1999. He was 66.
Mr. Billingsley was born September 4, 1932, in Duncan, Ariz. He was a plumber by trade and worked throughout Arizona during his career. He and his wife, Carol, co-owned Billingsley Plumbing in Kingman for more than 15 years.
He also served in the Arizona National Guard and the U.S. Air Force, was a former member of the Kingman Public Utilities Commission and served on planning and building committees of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Kingman Country Club, among others.
Mr. Billingsley is survived by: his wife of 20 years, Carol; four sons, Charles, Daniel, Michael and Joseph Billingsley; three daughters, Dorothy Peterson, Karen Walsh and Lynda French; three stepchildren, Kari Jo Hill, David Williamson and Diane Carochi; three brothers, Frank, Phil and Marvin Billingsley; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: one son, John Paul Billingsley; his mother, Joyce Elaine Clay; and his father, Roy Billingsley.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June30, 1999, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 1999, and will be preceded by a viewing, which will start at 9 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2101 Harrison St., Kingman, Ariz. 86401.

Willa G. Rawlings
Willa G. Rawlings, a former Kingman resident, died June 24, 1999 in Snowflake. She was 90.
Mrs. Rawlings was born July 7, 1908 in Clarkton, Mo. In 1928, she moved to Flint, Mich., where she worked as a switchboard operator. In Michigan, she met and marriage Ira Rawlings. The family, with young son Jerry, moved to Phoenix in 1921 where they became involved in Harry L. Nace Theatres. They were transferred to Kingman in 1937 where they make their home.
The Rawlings' built the original theatre in Show Low and the Wagon wheel Drive-in theatre. Together they retired in 1991. After 69 years of marriage, husband Ira died in 1997.
Mrs. Rawlings is survived by: one son, Jerry Rawlings of Mesa; one sister, Margaret Atkerson of Phoenix; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today - Tuesday, June 29, 1999 - at Owens Mortuary on Show Low. Burial will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 1999, in Kingman. The family asks that memorial donations be made to a local cancer society or to the historical museum in Kingman.

Sylvia Williams
Sylvia Williams, a part-time Kingman resident, died Sunday, June 27, 1999 in Modesto, Calif. She was 69.
Mrs. Williams was born Jan. 1, 1930 in Guntersville, Ala. She worked as line captain at Gallo Winery inCalifornia and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Williams is survived by: her husband, Bobby Williams of Modesto; one daughter Carol Chappell of Kingman; two sons, Bobby Williams and Clarence "Billy" Williams, both of Modesto, Calif; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at Colonial Chapel in Modesto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 1999 at Colonial Chapel; burial will follow at Acacia Cemetery.

Glenn H. Johnson
Glenn H. Johnson died Friday, June 25, 1999 in Kingman. He was 96.
Mr. Johnson was born September 22, 1904 in Arlington, Wash.
At age 11, Mr. Johnson moved to Kingman with his parents. Mr. Johnson designed the Charles Metcalf memorial located in Metcalf Park. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for 67 years, a charter member of the local country club, past president of the Mohave County Historical Society, and a member of the Kingman Fire Department.
Mr. Johnson is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Helen; three sons, Glenn Robert of Animas, N.M.; Hugh of Henderson, Nev.; William of the San Francisco area; one daughter, Jean Raper of Burbank, Calif.; and one stepson, Bavvy Clampeh.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 1999 at Mountain View Cemetery.

Donald James Shongo
Donald James Shongo of Peach Springs died Monday, June 21, 1999. He was 37.
Mr. Shongo was born March 16, 1962 in Salamanca, N.Y. He worked in construction. He was a member of the Hualapai Bible Mission Church and served as a volunteer fireman.
Mr. Shongo is survived by: his wife, Naomi (Butler) Shongo; four daughters, Onawa, Kristina, Allison and Tawnya, all of Peach Springs; his parents Virginia and Lloyd John of Salamanch, N.Y.; and one brother, Ricky Ray.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 28, 1999 at the Multi-Purpose building in Peach Springs. Funeral services will be held at the same location at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 1999.

Mildred Cunniff
Mildred Cunniff died Friday, June 25, 1999, in Kingman. She was 77.
Mrs. Cunniff was born March 29, 1922, in Joplin, Mo., and was a self-employed seamstress for 40 years. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Mrs. Cunniff is survived by: two daughters, Dovey Wacker of Kingman, and Virginia Ostrander of Richmond, Calif.' two sisters, Marie Hall of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Dorothy Hutcinson of Tacoma, Wash.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five nieces; and seven nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Wacker; and her parents, James and Dove Lyster.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today - Sunday, June 27, 1999 - at Desert View Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 1999, also at Desert View. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
