Luna, Sr.Survived by children, Trini (Ramon) Espino, Norma (Tom) Lopez, Sam (Olga) Luna, Gus Luna, Ernie (Angie) Luna; brothers, Joe Cardenas and Manuel Cardenas; nephews, Joe (Lorraine) Ballesteros and Hector Cardenas and other nephews and nieces of Martinez, CA. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 1996 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at ARIZONA MORTUARY CHAPEL, 7 E. University Blvd. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 4, 1996 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. MAGRADY, Evelyn M., 74, of Tucson, was born in Chicago, IL, February 12, 1922, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 1996. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James J. Magrady. Beloved mother of Carole (John) Passananti of Tucson; James R. (Roberta) Magrady of Chicago; Suzanne (Larry) Hochwert of Tucson; Thomas G. (Peggy) Magrady of Elmhurst, IL; Ronald J. (Kathy) Magrady of Tucson; Luci (Don) Graves of Tucson; Maureen (Wayne) Inman of Tucson. Fond grandmother of 23 and great-grandmother of 12. Special family friends, Dan Santa Maria, Larry Joy, Adeline Garbie, Rena Cobb, and Nick Stathopoulos. Prior to moving to Tucson, Evelyn was a longtime volunteer at Cook County Hospital Burn Center in Chicago. Friends may call Monday, December 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (one block North of Grant). There will be a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Fr. Richard Kingsley officiating. MARVILL-MILLER-BESON, Beulah B., died of natural causes in Tucson, AZ on Saturday, November 30, 1996. She was 87. A long time State of Michigan employee, she taught in the public school system in Pickford, Sault Ste. Marie and Bay City. Mrs.Miller-Marvill retired in 1972, married Dudley Marvill of Grand Rapids and moved to that city. Following Mr. Marvill’s death in 1977, she moved to Green Valley, AZ and was active and a founding member of the Valley Presbyterian Church. Her later years were spent in Tucson. She is survived by two children, Carl Miller of Tucson and Elizabeth Elling of Ann Arbor, MI; four grandchildren, Kirstin Elling of Chicago, Karin Elling of Atlanta, GA, C. Wade Miller of Tucson and Alura Koleas of Laguna Neigel, CA; two great-grandchildren, Kathleen and Davis Koleas of Laguna Neigel; also a host of cousins, nieces and nephews of Bay City. Funeral Service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Bay City, MI on Thursday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. Burial of her ashes will follow immediately at Oak Ridge Cemetery next to her late husband, Dr. Stanley A. Miller. Her children wish her to be remembered by one or two of her many loves; simple cards and flowers. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

MCKENZIE, Douglas E., 75, passed away November 30, 1996. Survived by wife, Phyllis; sons, Robert (Dora) McKenzie of Fenton, Michigan, Lorne (Kathy) McKenzie of Tucson, Lynn (Janice) McKenzie of South Lyon, Michigan; daughter, Denise (Robert) Burnham of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Glenn McKenzie, Jeffrey McKenzie and Jerome McKenzie, all of Las Vegas, NV; stepchildren, Michael, Edward, Thomas, David Laier, all of Michigan and Susan Rey and Judy Trudeau of Michigan and Kathy Laier of Tucson; 35 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Don (Mae)McKenzie of Tucson. Mr. McKenzie was past commander and member of American Legion Post 109, Vail, AZ. Memorial Service 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, at Shrine of St. Rita Church, Vail, AZ. MILLS, Angelita, 82, of Tucson, passed away November 30, 1996. Survived by many beloved nephews and nieces and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 1996 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave. Mass will be offered Thursday, 10:00 a.m., St. Johns. Interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.

MOORE, Lois Virginia (Kirby), 76, of Tucson, beloved wife and mother, passed away suddenly November 26, 1996. Survived by husband, Col. Milton R. Moore, Ret.; son, Stephen R. Moore, both of Tucson; sister-in-law, Mrs. Benjamin Nields, III of Rye, New York; and nephew, Benjamin Nields, IV of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by mother, Edith May (Tarr) Kirby and father, Chauncey Munch Kirby. Lois was born January 16, 1920 in Chicago Heights, IL and moved to Tucson as a child. She was a graduate of Tucson High in 1937 and the University of Arizona in 1941. She was a founding member of the Desert Club, a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and a member of the Junior League, and on the Board of Directors at St. Lukes Home for Women. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 1996 at St. Phillips in the Hills Episcopal Church, Campbell Ave. and River Rd. at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Home, Inc. 615 E. MOYER, Otha Wilbur, February 25, 1921 to December 1, 1996. Otha Wilbur Moyer was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Maggie Moyer of Clyde, Ohio, and Munson, Michigan; by his brothers Lenard, Leo, Cleo and Oakley Moyer, his first wife Minnie Mae Smith and his eldest son James Otha Moyer. Otha Wilbur is survived by his wife, Stella Juanita Moyer of Tucson; great aunt Deltha Cox of Hudson. MI; brothers, Russell Moyer of Homer, MI and Kenneth Moyer of Techuncea, MI; sisters, Gertrude Keefer of Morenci, MI and Dorothy Munsell of Hudson, MI; children, Doris Lambright of Hudson, MI, Linda Jacoby Groin of Eaton Rapids, MI, Walter Joseph Moyer of Litchfield, MI, Barbara Emens of Waldron, MI, Mary Pate of Litchfield, MI, Ray Edward Moyer of Allen, MI, Betty Hargrove of Reading, MI, Delores VanDussen of Holland, MI, Carolyn Pankhurst Norris of Litchfield, MI and Kathy Moyer-Bustillos of Yuma, AZ. Otha had 33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and truck driver who lived in Hillsdale and Lenawee County. He moved to Tucson in 1980 and is a member of Victory Baptist Church. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL with Rev. Doug Reava and Rev. Edward Vernon officiating. Interment in Morenci, MI. PAPSON, Jeanne T., 78, died December 2, 1996. Wife of Steve Papson of Tucson; mother of Linda Manninoartis of Tucson, Steven Papson of NM and Peggy Wiggins of Tucson; sister of Katie Sicoli of NV, Mary Munoz of FL, Terry Chaimowitz of NY, John Frascella of CA and Pat Frascella of ME; four grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews also survive. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 1996 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd., with Msgr. Thomas Cahalane officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 1996 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. RAYMOND, Marie E., 86, passed away November 22, 1996. Her husband, Tony Raymond, died 11 years ago. Marie will be missed by her many caring friends. Thanks to the dear friends who attended the Graveside Session November 29, 1996 at Holy Hope Cemetery.

SCHINDEL, Dorothy H. Forsythe Jenkins, 82, of 615 Laurel Lake Dr., Tryon Estates, Columbus, NC, died Thursday, November 14, 1996 in Tyron Estates. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Runa Grace Hall Hubert. She was a former member of Skyline Country Club in Tucson, Arizona. Mrs. Schindel was a member of Tryon Country Club and the Ladies Golf Association. She was also a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Arizona. She was the widow of Carl W. Forsythe and Read Jenkins. Surviving include her husband, Philip W. Schindel; two sons, Gregory H. Forsythe of Flemington, NJ and Thomas A. Forsythe of Shreveport, LA; one daughter, Katherine A. Krauss of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Forrest B. Hubert of Birmingham, Michigan; also six grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 1996 in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. SIMS, Irene Maxine, 80, passed away Sunday, December 1, 1996, in Snowflake, Arizona. She was born in Clarion, Iowa and married Herbert Wendell Sims November 16, 1937. They were farmers in Iowa until 1953 when they moved to Arizona. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons, Gerald M. Sims of Snowflake and Rodney W. Sims of Tucson; seven daughters, Gwen I. Dunbar of Show Low, Christine M. Edmiston of Tucson, Rita A. Byrd of Lakeside, Peggy L. Scully of Tucson, Gail Marie Johnson of Albuquerque, NM, Deborah M. Heath of Lakeside, Wendellia J. Sullivan of Marana; one brother, Irvin Odland and one sister, Harriet Kruse, both of Iowa; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Sims and a daughter, Kathleen K. Sims. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

SKIBIK, Mary C., 87, died December 1, 1996. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SMALLHOUSE, Kingston J., 92, passed away on November 30, 1996, after a lengthy illness. A native Arizonan, he was born on July 29, 1904 and attended Phoenix Union High School and the University of Arizona. In 1931 he married Margaret Bayless who predeceased him in 1967. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Morrison Smallhouse; sons, Charles (Nancy) of Oracle, AZ, John (Mary) of Redington, AZ and stepson, J. Denman (Mary) Morrison of Mercer Island, WA; grandchildren, David(Sarah) of Alamos, Sonora and Tucson, Daniel of Sacramento, CA, Mark of Los Altos, CA, Elizabeth of Scottsdale and Andrew of Redington. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Thomas and Laura of Alamos and Tucson. While attending the University, Mr. Smallhouse, played on the varsity Polo Team and was a member of Beta Chi fraternity, now Beta Theta Pi. He was a long time member of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee and was the Grand Marshall in 1981; he also was the most senior member of the Tucson Rotary Club. Mr. Smallhouse helped found the Triange YMCA Camp in Oracle and the Skyline Country Club in Tucson. He was the owner/manager of the Carlink Ranch in Redington, which specialized in raising high quality Hereford beef cattle. As a cattle rancher and an early member of the Arizona Cattle Growers Association, he was a pioneer of new methods in range conservation and management and, as such, he was the founder of the Redington National Resources Conservation District. His other memberships included: Tucson YMCA Board, U of A Lettermen’s and President’s Clubs, Arizona Historical Society, the Old Pueblo Club and several Tucson Medical Center fund raising committees. Services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 1996 at 3:00 p.m. at the BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott, with the Rev. Keith Kreitner officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to UofA Foundation, Kingston J. Smallhouse Scholarship Fund for the benefit of the College of Agriculture, 1111 N. Cherry Ave., Tucson, AZ 85721 or your favorite charity.

VEGA, Guillermina C., 38, died Saturday, November 30, 1996. Survivors include husband; three children; four brothers; two sisters; mother and father. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, from 7:00 to 9:00 with Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 1996. LAMB, Rita Marie, 67, of Lewisville, TX, died November 25, 1996 in Phoenix, AZ having courageously struggled with rheumatoid arthritis for forty-five years. Rita was born in Wisconsin, moved to Arizona in 1952, moving to Texas in 1992. Survived by her husband of 49 years, Russel Lamb; son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Karen; granddaughters, Michelle Grey and Tracie Lamb; and great-granddaughter, Alexandra of Pleasanton, CA; son, Rodney and daughter-in-law, Judy; and grandchildren, Melanie and Kevin of Lewisville, TX; and granddaughter, Gloria of Loudonville, NY; and brother, Francis Dooley of Tucson, Arizona.
