YOKLIC, Martin J., 81, passed away December 6, 1997 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Monna; sons, Martin R. (Deborah) and Michael; grandsons, Max and Simon all of Tucson; two brothers, five sisters and many nephews and nieces. Visitation, December 9, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Memorial Mass, December 10, 10:00 a.m., St. Cyril’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

BERTRAM, Hazel A., 80, died December 6, 1997. Grandmother of Debra Jerome of Tucson. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

Margaret Boyer, 90, of Tucson passed away on November 24th while visiting her grandson, Mark Zwolinski, his wife, Katrina and week old great-granddaughter, Hannah in Colorado. She is also survived by granddaughter, Marie, of Memphis, TN; daughter, Christine; and son-in-law, Malcolm Zwolinski, of Tucson. She was preceded in death by her husband. Margaret retired from the University of Arizona’s registrar’s office in 1974. Internment will be in Swanzey, N.H.

HELLSTEN, Christer L., age 51, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Hawthorn Woods, IL, died December 5, 1997, in Tucson. Visitation will be held 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 12 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL. Funeral Services 10:00 a.m., December 13 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home. Interment St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Zurich, IL. Mr. Hellsten was born February 12, 1946 in Sweden. President of Siemens Medical Systems in Chicago and President of Siemens Nixdorf in Sweden. Survived by his wife, Kerstin; children, Pontus, Hanna, Emma; parents, Ingrad Gulliksson and the late Johan Hellsten. Uncle of Therese. Brother of Par Hellsten. Dorothy Arrah Murray, age 44, of Tucson, Arizona, went to Our Lord on December 6, 1997. Arrah is survived by her husband, Roger Murray; her daughter, Arrah Beth King; her sons, Jonas King, and Spencer and Elliott Murray. Arrah is also survived by her parents, Mary Beth and Dominic Correro of Clarksdale, MS; four sisters, Terre Cross, Marie Andrews, Martha Wood, and Becky Edwards; five brothers, Don Correro, Mike Correro, Jerome Correro, Joe Correro, and Frank Correro. She was preceded in death by a brother, Phil Correro. In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Our Mother of Sorrows Endowment Fund. A Rosary will be said on Monday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. Memorial Mass Tuesday, December 9, at 10:00 a.m. All Services will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S Kolb Rd., Tucson, AZ 85710.

ROKER, Melvin D., 63, of Tucson, died November 29, 1997. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Daisy; sons, Jim (Carol) Roker and Jeff Roker; granddaughter, Krystal Joyce Roker; step-grandchildren, Malcolm Riley and Donald Johnson; and sister, Ruth Kuester of Stanton, NE. Melvin’s many years of public service, which included his active membership in Toastmasters, AARP, and Board of Directors with Access Tucson, was a source of great pride to him and his family. Memorial Services will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Friday, December 12, 1997 at 3:00 p.m.

SANTA CRUZ, Paulino C., 76, of Tucson, passed away December 5, 1997. Survived by wife, Lucy Santa Cruz; daughter, Patty Santa Cruz; sons, Tony, Paul (Lilia), Christopher, and Vincent Santa Cruz; sister, Maria Fimbres; brother, Trinidad Santa Cruz; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Santa Cruz was an employee of the City of Tucson fro 42 years in the Water Department. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY (North Chapel), 204 South Stone Ave., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 1997 at Santa Cruz Church. SNOW, Patricia Ann, age 69, passed into Heaven on December 5, 1997, a victim of an auto accident. She is remembered reverently as a loving wife, a strong, caring and attentive mother and caregiver to anyone in need, with an enormous capacity for giving! She is survived by her husband, Richard; six children, Margaret Meadows, Sheri Snow, Jeannette Stramat, Marc Snow, Glenn Snow, David Snow; and sisters, Jeri Brandt and Janet Gillette. She is loved by six grandchildren who were the joys of her full life. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at The Immaculate Heart Academy Chapel, 410 E. Magee Road. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, during which the Rosary will be recited. VASKO, Mary Elizabeth, 82, died December 4, 1997. Mother of William D. (Eileen) Vasko and Christine (Raymond) Langlais. Grandmother of Katherine, Andrew, Joseph, and Michael Vasko and Suzanne and Victoria Langlais. Sister of Vernon Burkholder. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephew also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Vasko. She was a graduate of Bluffton College in Bluffton, Ohio. Taught school in Ohio. Longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, and from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Donations may be made in Mary Vasko’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.

WAGNER, Harry, age 86, a 74 year resident of Tucson, passed away December 5, 1997 in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Wagner retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Jean; and son, James Wagner. Survived by son, Harry (Beverly) Wagner; granddaughters, Cynthia (Steve) Sweet and Joanna Wagner; great-granddaughter, Meaghan Sweet. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., Rev. Don Brummet officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

WALKLING, Willard Paul, Jr., ”Bill”, Major U.S.A.F., Ret., 72, died December 6, 1997. Husband of Mary M. Walkling. Half brother of Paula Stonesifer of Maryland; four children; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins in Maryland and Germany also survive. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 1997 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View Drive. Theresa R. “Terry” Abril, 66, of Tucson, went to our Lord on December 4, 1997, on her birthday, with family members present, after a long battle with cancer. Survived by her husband of 47 years, Hector A. Abril; sons, Hector A. Abril Jr. (Darlene), Ron Abril (Yvette) and daughter, Suzanne Hernandez (Rene); 10 grandchildren, Hector III, Estevan, Gabriel, Martin, Juliana, Vanessa, Ron Jr., Jamie, Reggie, Cristina; one great-grandchild, Cade; sisters, Jessie R. Alloy, Carmen (Manny) Sanchez, Frances (Bob) Bauer, Betsy (Hector) Arriaga, Grace (Henry) Nunez; brother, Tony (Ann) Ruiz and many nieces and nephews. A fifth generation Tucsonan and direct decedent of the original Spanish soldiers who inhabited Tucson in the early 1790's. Theresa was a graduate of Tucson High Class of 1950. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and supported all in their activities. She loved long walks and sometimes was teased that her walks were so long and intense that she was training for the Olympic games. The family would like to recognize the warmth and care provided by Dr. Katakkar and staff. The wonderful support given by Carondelet Hospice. A heartfelt thank you to Peter and Debi A. Thibaudeau for all their love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Carondelet Hospice or Cathedral Maintenance Fund. Visitation will be held at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on December 7, 1997. ARNOLD, Eric J., 38, of Tucson, died December 2, 1997. Survived by wife, Valorie Arnold; parents, Jack P. and Jean Arnold; sister, Trish O’Lowney; nephew, David; and niece, Rachael. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom. Memorial Services will be held December 12, 1:00 p.m. at Sabbar Shrine Temple, 450 S. DRESSER, Harold Edward, born in Kennebunk, Maine, October 6, 1914, passed onto Heaven on December 4, 1997 in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his loving wife, Naomi Dresser and his five children, Harold ”Slap” Dresser Jr., Geraldine, Frank, Betsy Dresser, Mark Dresser and Norman Dresser. He is also survived by many grandchildren. Dr. Dresser served at Tucson General Hospital as a urologist. He was loved by many, now he will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), Sunday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. with Dale Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in Kennebunk, Maine.

Delfina D. Flores, 91, of Tucson, passed away December 1, 1997. Preceded in death by daughter, Alicia Ochoa. Survived by daughters, Ramona (Refugio) Gonzales, Carmen Romero, Lupe Sims; sons, Juan (Anita) Flores, Pete Flores, Jimmy (Diane) Flores, Miguel (Rosa) Flores; sister, Antonia Ortega. Also survived by 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 1997 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, INC. (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Interment will follow at San Xavier Cemetery. GUERENA, Martin M., 30, of Tucson, died December 3, 1997. Preceded in death by grandfather, Miguel Q. Molina. Survived by son, Ruben; special friend, Loretta Perez; mother Socorro Morales; brothers, James Rocha and Eddie Guerena; sisters, Maria Celia Escudero, Conception Rocha, Joann Chavira and Josephine Chavira; grandmother, Celia Molina. Services will be held at the Graveside in South Lawn Cemetery today at 1:00 p.m. Services conducted by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. (327-6341).

LELUAN, Patricia (Patsy), age 65, of Tucson, died December 2, 1997 at her home. She was born December 23, 1931 at Sandy Point, Newfoundland, Canada. Survived by her loving husband, Sidney J.and son, Sidney III (Debbie) and daughter, Catherine (Tom) Magurany of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Tommy, Christopher, Megan, Steven, Katie, Nicholas, Anna and Anthony. Remembered lovingly by family members and friends through out Canada and the world. Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, DODGE CHAPEL, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 1997. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of The Desert. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Conrado S. Rodriguez, Born November 15, 1944, died December 7, 1996. Survived by wife, Armida Rodriguez and daughters, Patricia and Nadia and son, Victor Rodriguez; mom, Adelaida Rodgriguez; three sisters and five brothers; uncles and aunts; nieces and nephews; cousins and friends. Rest in Peace and God Bless You. We miss and love you.

WILSEY, Sharon, 53, of Tucson, died December 3, 1997. She is survived by her daughters, Kristann (Kevin) Hunt, Debbie (Robert) Richards, Lenore (John) Carter, Joan (Bobby) Barela and Karen Wilsey; grandchildren, Ray, Kenneth, Samuel, David, Travis, Meghan, Blake, Jacob, Joshua, Zechariah and McKenna; parents, Ivan and Daisy Lewis and siblings, Dwyn, Ian, Tani and David.
