Ken was a true Southern Gentlemen who loved his family. He never had an unkind word for anyone. He was always willing to give of himself and ask nothing in return. His upbeat outlook on life, inner strength and endearing humility touched us all.
He proudly served with the USAF. After a tour in Vietnam he settled in Tucson where he became an employee with TEP. To accumulate a 30 year distinguished career, the training center of Tucson Electric Power was named after him in December of 1997. Active in the Union, he served in the past as president and was on the Executive Board. A volunteer that spent countless hours with the Old Pueblo Trolley renovation project, he was chosen to receive an Award for Excellence in Corporate Community Service for his work, and named as a honorary member of the Board of Directors.
His dignity and courage in battling cancer gave us all a lesson in living. His gentle spirit will be missed by all who were privileged to know him. According to his wishes his ashes will be scattered over the Tanque Verde Valley that he loved. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped Ken in his final struggle, the friends who were like family and the TMC Hospice for their caring and compassion.
