David Golder
At his residence in Port Elgin, on Wednesday, October 6th, 2004, at the age of 58 years, David Golder of Port Elgin. Father of Karrie Lynn and her husband Jason McDougall of Cambridge, Samantha of London, and David James of Forest. Brother of Samuel Boyd Golder of Blenheim. He is also survived by his former wife Janet Vanderhulst of London. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Christine Golder and by his sister Margaret Dunn.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Julia Morden officiating.
Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.

Gold, John Reece
At Elgin Abbey in Chesley, on Friday. November 9th, 2001, at the age of 92 years, John Gold of Paisley, husband of the late Beulah Burnett, father of David and his wife Patricia of Chatsworth, and grandfather of Mike, Marty, and Rob. Great-grandfather of Chantelle and Andre. He is survived by his brother-in-law James Scott of Barrie.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
Interment Paisley Cemetery.

Goar, Ellen Caroline
At the Heritage Place Nursing Home, Virgil, on Thursday, August 30th, 2001, in her 97th year, the former Ellen Thomas. Wife of the late James Goar. Mother of the late Allen Goar. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Gail Goar, her grandchildren Mike and his wife Laureen, Cathy, Susan and her husband Sean, and Stephen, and by her great-granddaughter Kayla. She is predeceased by her brothers Charles, Gordon, Norm, Bill and Sam Thomas.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, (Town of Saugeen Shores) on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Wild officiating.

Samuel Gil-Montesinos
Suddenly as the result of a tragic farm accident on Saturday, May 20th, 2006, at the age of 39 years, Samuel Gil-Montesinos of San Andres, Oaxaca, Mexico. Beloved husband of Irma Munoz. Dear father of five young children in his homeland. Samuel had been part of the seasonal Hi-Berry Farm family of Norm and Nora Charbonneau for several years, and was highly regarded as a leader with his countrymen while in Canada.
The community of Saugeen Shores is encouraged to support his friends at a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, in Port Elgin on Wednesday, May 24th, at 7:00 p.m. with Father Mike Francis officiating. There will be an opportunity for visitation at the church commencing at 6:00 p.m., and a reception will be held following Mass in Jubilee Hall.
A memorial fund has been established forMemorial contributions to support his family in Mexico, and donations may be made through either the funeral home or St. Joseph’s Church.

Robert Gilmour
Suddenly on Friday, May 26th, 2006 at the age of 63 years, Bob Gilmour of Southampton.
Loving husband of the former Betty MacNab. Devoted father of Carla Gilmour of St. Catharines, Wayde and his wife Izumi of Ottawa and Gary and his wife Joanne of Hamilton. He will be missed by his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Myra and her husband Wayne Chapman of Kitchener and brother Harry Gilmour of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Jack & Valentine Gilmour, infant sister Isobel, his mother and father in-law, Beryl and Richard MacNab and brother-in-law Johnny MacNab.
Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel., 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral mass will be conducted in St. Patrick’s Parish, Southampton on Monday at 11.00 a.m. with the Father Mike Francis officiating.Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8.30 p.m.
Interment Southampton Cemetery.

Christiana Giffels
At the South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Chesley, on Sunday May 28th, 2006, at the age of 79 years, the former Christiana Stuart of Paisley and formerly of Brigden. Wife of the late William Giffels. Loving mother of Paula and her husband Art Hann, Robert Schleich and his wife Heather, David Schleich and his wife Sussanna, Bill Schleich, Rick Schleich, Tim Schleich, Michael Schleich, John Giffels and his wife Gail, Jeff Giffels and his wife RuthAnn, Brenda and her husband John-David MacTavish, and Judi Tomsons. She is predeceased by her grandson Jason, her granddaughter Nikki, and by her brother Ivan Stuart.
A memorial service will be conducted at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St., S., Paisley on Friday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
A graveside service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia. on Friday, June 9th at 1:00 p.m.

Susan George-Maas
At her home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, October 18th, 2007 at the age of 47 years, the former Susan George of Port Elgin. Loving wife and best friend of Doug Maas. Cherished and loving daughter of Basil and Betty George of Port Elgin. Dear sister of Ray George and his wife Marian of Sylvan Lake, AB, and Larry George and his wife Kathy of Port Elgin. Daughter-in-law of Ken and Mae Maas of Port Elgin. Sister-in-law of Ron and his wife Barb of Arran Township and Terry and Marlene of Oakville. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Sister of George Galliher and his wife Nancy of Tiverton, and Wayne Galliher and his wife Mary of Port Elgin. Special friend of Jerry Nagle of Southampton. She is also survived by her former husband Larry Gennow of Southampton.

Father of Mary of Mississauga.Brother of Kay Boughner of Brantford, Jean Roper of Paris, Keith and his wife Delina of Chatham, and father-in-law of James Eaton of Burlington.Brother-in-law of Jane Ernst and Evangeline Lyon and their spouses. He is predeceased by his eldest daughter Valerie Eaton, his brother-in-law Don Roper, and by his sisters Marjorie Burtis and Nancy Sabatine.

In Hanover on Monday, April 5th, 2004 at the age of 78 years, Arthur Garland of Pinkerton. Husband of the former Christine Thompson. Also survived by his grandchildren Chris and his wife Tara, Scott, Sam, Kate, and Erik, great-granddaughter Alexandra, and by his brothers Edgar and Donald.

He is also survived by his sister Margrit Bocheinski and her son Boris, his brother Lothar, all of Germany, mother-in-law Florence, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken and Sharon, Don and Janet, Harvey and Karen, Kathy and Doug Kocher, Brenda and Steve Strader, Marilyn and Blair Engel, Diane and Jim Diebel and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Adolph and Elli, his father-in-law Clayton, and his brothers-in-law David Walter and Klaus Bocheinski.

Stepmother of Daniel Gareau, Eugene Gareau and his wife Cathy, Donald Gareau and Conrad Gareau and his wife Ann. Grandmother of Tammy, Timmy, Jennifer, Justin, Megan, Dylan, Candice, Makenna, Crystal, Felicia, Joe, Rebecca, Julia, Christopher, Adam, Kelly, Alexis, Shawn, John, Terry, Tina, Dale, Jasmine, Jeremy, Tynon and Julia. Great-grandmother of Abbey, Elizabeth, Joshua and Dusty. She is survived also by her brothers and sisters Bunny McClure and his wife Mavis, Winnie Bedard and her husband Dale, Barbara Ducharme, and Larry McClure all of Mansonville, Quebec, and by sister-in-law Laurie Beauparland of Oshawa.
Private family funeral arrangements are being conducted with Father Robert Hudson of St. Joseph’s Church, Port Elgin officiating, and are in the care of the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 823-2222.

Galvin, Patrick Carnegie
Peacefully on Monday, July 8th, 2002 in his 80th year, Patrick Galvin of Niagara-on-the-Lake, formerly of Port Elgin. Husband of the former Mary Fanstone. Father of David and his fiancée Gisèle of Burlington/Southampton, Christine of Bracebridge, Andrew and his wife Donna of Shannonville. Brother of Brian and his wife Doreen of Toronto. He is also survived by his granddaughter Cheyenne. He is predeceased by his daughter Patricia, his first wife Karla, and his brother Jack.
