GRIFFIN, Jean
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean on Wednesday, February 25th, 2004 at the Rouge Valley Ajax Hospital. Jean was in her 79th year. She was the loving mother of Deborah Stephens of Whitby and Wayne Griffin of St. Catharine's, as well as the mother-in-law of Frank Stephens and Bonnie Griffin. Jean was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, and her partner of many years, Dennis Sexton. While Jean battled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure for several years, her greatest challenge was to cope with significant vision impairment, the result of Glaucoma. She was very grateful for all of the support services that were provided to her by Durham Access to Care, the CNIB, and the many wonderful neighbours and friends that she made in her Seniors Apartment Complex (Pearl, Peggy, Walter, and Marjorie most particularly.)
