Entered into rest peacefully at Lakeridge Health Services in Port Perry on Sunday, December 19th, 2004. Evelyn Atkinson, age 81, was the beloved wife of the late George Durward (2001). Loving mother of Stan & Karen, Maryellen Scheepers, Gregory and Darlene all of Sunderland. Dearly remembered by her grandchildren Brooke & Rick, Randa, D'Arcy, Jessica, Matthew, Eve & Jason, Emily & Martyn, Melodie and Carolyn. Also ten great grand-children. Dear sister of Lorne & Margaret Atkinson, Orval & Margaret Atkinson, Stan & Stella Atkinson all of Whitby and Audrey & Harvey Reading of Orillia, Sister-in-law Alma Atkinson of Whitby, Marion Durward of Port Perry, Joan Durward of Picton and Maurice Edgerton of Blackstock. Pre-deceased by one son Thomas, one grandson Canio, one great grandson Alexander, two brothers James and Maxwell Atkinson, two brother-in-laws James and Ronald Durward and one sister-in-law Evelyn Edgerton. Funeral Service from St. Andrews United Church in Sunderland on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. As a remembrance, donations to Sunderland United Church, the Kidney Foundation or Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.

JOHNSON, Marion
Surrounded by her family, Marion passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in her 91st year. Loving wife of the late Raymond Johnson. Cherished mother of Wayne (Sandra). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Kim (Dave Cummings), Melody (Wade Warren) and Darrin (Trish). Proud great grandmother of Lindsay, Ryan, Sarah and Christopher. A private burial will take place at a later date. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre.

MURPHY, Patricia Jane
Peacefully passed away, on Sunday, December 19, 2004, at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre from None-Hodgkin's disease. Wife of Blaine. Dear sister of Jean and Tony. Pat will be sadly missed by her nieces Rosemary, Angela, Victoria, Isabel and nephew Gareth Webley and great-nieces Kristen and Katrina. Suddenly, on Sunday, December 19th, 2004 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Ruth, beloved wife of John Colbourn and predeceased by her first husband Harold Unwin. Dear mother of Steven, Michael, Ross and Margaret. Step-mother of Dave and Sandra. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Mark, Amber, Lindsay, Wesley, Kelly, Sarah and Robert. Loving son of Robert Munroe and Susan and Bill Spicer. Brother of Michelle Munroe and Uncle to Joshua and Damian. He bowled many years at the Sunday night Friendship Bowling League. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. SAWDON, May Margaret
May passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville in her 92nd year. After living most of her life in the Bradford area, she moved to Courtice to White Cliffe Terrace Retirement Residence. She was predeceased by her husband Ken and by her son Doug. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Ruth, granddaughter Donna and great granddaughter Michaela. She is fondly remembered by her nephews Mervin (Jean) Cairns and Ross Cairns. Also by her many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear sister of Valerie and her husband Rick Nowak, and loving aunt of Jonathan and Richard. Moira is survived by two loved daughters Carly and Heather. She will be dearly missed by her many friends especially Vic and June. Special thanks for the compassionate care given to Moira by the staff on 6A CCU and 9G, Dr. s Pavone, and Eisenstat, Special Nurse Sue, Chaplain Dorothy Kitch-Churchill (Christ Memorial), and Rev. She was a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren and she was the special grandmother to Aaron, Brett, Craig and Drew. She is survived by brothers Angus and Bruce and sister Mona. At Mary's request there will not be a funeral, a celebration of Mary's life will be held in the spring. Of Oakwood, entered into rest at Oshawa General Hospital, on Friday, December 17, 2004, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Amy for 57 years. Loving father of Gordon Jr. of Sunderland, and Gail (Doug Wood) of Balsam Lake. Grandad of Cynthia (Guy Rogers), Bill Wood (Karen) and Doug Wood, all of Uxbridge; Taralyn Clark of Ottawa; and Dwight Clark of Sunderland. Great-grandfather of Tyler, Bradley and Douglas Wood; and Rebecca and Gregory Rogers. Gordon is survived by his loving sister Yvonne of Etobicoke. Gordon will be remembered by his many relatives and friends. There will be a visitation at Oakwood United Church, Hwy. 7, Oakwood, Ontario, on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Trudy was a long time employee of The Bay and spent all of her free time enjoying the country life at her special retreat, her cottage on Shadow Lake, where family and friends always gathered.
