Generosa "Genin" Molina

WATERBURY - Generosa "Genin" Molina, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 31, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Generosa was born on Jan. 14, 1935 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico and came to Waterbury in 1960. She loved music, singing, and dancing. She worked as a Social Worker for Catholic Family Services. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church.
Generosa is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Rafael E. Molina of Waterbury, her daughter Milagros McCooe and her husband Kevin McCooe of Coventry, eight grandchildren Jeanine Kaufman, Stephanie Ortiz, Luz and Jose Rodriguez, Ann, Tony, Christina and Andre Molina, 12 great grandchildren Albie Negron, Jaden and Kianna Ellis, Eamon Riley, Jacob, Joshua, Saba, and Marissa Rodriguez, Kayla and Christian Aguilar, Haylee Molina, and Delilah Jackson. Generosa is now reunited in Heaven with her son Rafael "Tony" Molina, her daughter Maria Rodriguez and her grandson Robert Ortiz.
Funeral will be held Wednesday November 3rd at 9:00 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street to Sacred Heart- Sagrado Corazon Church, 13 Wolcott Street for a Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Agnes Bolger

Waterbury - Agnes (Carragan) Bolger, 91, cherished wife of the late Daniel Earl Bolger passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8th.
Born in Middlebury on August 28, 1918, she was the eldest of five children all who predeceased her. She spent the majority of her life in the Fairlawn section of Waterbury where she lived for 55 years. Agnes was a registered nurse who proudly graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital where she was also employed for several years. Agnes also worked at a local convalescent home and at a nursery school. These three settings benefited from her gentle compassionate nature and quiet sense of humor. Agnes was the model of patience and a wonderful listener. In addition to her family, religion played a major part in her life and she occupied hours daily in prayer on behalf of friends and family. Agnes was also an avid reader who enjoyed reading and discussing a wide variety of literature.
Agnes is survived by her loving family who will miss her immensely. She leaves her son, Daniel Bolger and his wife Carla of California and her daughter, Kathy and her husband Kenneth Bobenski of Cromwell, and her beloved grandchildren Carly Mariah and Andrew Bobenski.
Funeral Mass will be Friday June 11th at 10:30 AM at S.S. Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. is in charge of arrangements.

David F. Allman

WATERBURY - David F. Allman, 60, formerly of Wedgewood Drive in Waterbury died after a long illness on June 7, 2010 at St Mary's Hospital, his loving family beside him.
David was born December 5, 1949 in Waterbury, son of the late Richard E Allman Sr. and Christine (Blake) Allman. He graduated from Crosby High School in Waterbury and from St. Francis College in Biddeford, Maine with a degree in Sociology. He worked for a number of years at Southbury Training School before his illness required him to stop working.
He was an avid reader of Mystery and Suspense novels and enjoyed playing trivial pursuit and bingo. He especially liked playing setback with his nephews. David was always upbeat and positive despite his handicaps.
He is survived by his brother, Richard E. Allman Jr. of Naugatuck, his sister Susan Rajcok and her husband Martin Rajcok Jr. of Bethlehem and his nephews Martin III and Brian Rajcok also of Bethlehem. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother John B. Allman and his sister Maryanne J. Allman
The family is grateful to the caring staff at Meridian Manor of Waterbury for their wonderful and loving care of David during his time there and to the staff at Sacred Heart 5 at St Mary's Hospital for their warm and attentive care.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday June 11th at 9:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Church, 14 Bentwood Drive. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy (Bowen) Conway
Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother

WATERBURY - Dorothy (Bowen) Conway, 87, of Waterbury passed away on May 20, 2010 at the Highlands Healthcare Center in Cheshire after a brief illness. She was the wife of James J. Conway, Jr. for 67 years.
Born in Waterbury, CT on August 13, 1922, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Helen (Murphy) Bowen. She was a 1940 graduate of Wilby High School. After raising her family, she worked in the insurance business for 20 years. Dorothy was a fun loving person who enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Timothy J. and Diane Conway of Farmington, Michael J. and Terri Conway of Waterbury, Kathryn M. and Carroll Bouchard of Meriden; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Triggs, Christopher Conway, Allison Borowski, David Conway, Kellie Conway, Meaghan Conway, Jennifer Bouchard, Paul Bouchard, and Tara Schneider. Dorothy is also survived by her only sister, Judy Bowen Butterly of Livermore, CA., seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her grandson, Michael J. Conway Jr. and niece, Bridget E. Butterly.
The family would like to thank the staff and the nurses on the 3rd floor at Highlands Healthcare Center for the loving care given to Dorothy.
The funeral will be Monday, May 24th at 9:00 AM from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St., to Our Lady of Loreto Church, corner of Bunker Hill Ave. and Ardsley Road for a Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours are Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Saint Jude Children's Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Michael E. Hayes

CHESHIRE - Michael E. Hayes, 60, of Cheshire, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Karen (Walsh) Hayes.
Mr. Hayes was born in Bristol December 11, 1949 son of the late Harold and Hazel (Rabtoy) Hayes and was educated in Wolcott schools. He was a devoted father and an avid Harley Davidson rider.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Justin C. Hayes of Cheshire and was predeceased by son, Michael J. Hayes, who died in July of 2004. He is also survived by a daughter, Stephani R. Teixeira of Prospect, one brother, Todd Hayes of FL, and a granddaughter, Alexis Teixeira of Prospect.
Calling hours are Wednesday May 19th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St, Waterbury. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Ernestine M. Smith

WATERBURY - Ernestine M. Smith, born Sept. 20, 1947, passed away on May 6, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Edward F. Smith Sr. and Ernestine M. (Blondeau) Smith.
Ernestine graduated from Chase School and attended Croft High School.
Ernestine is survived by two brothers, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews who loved her. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Services are private. Arrangements by the Murphy Funeral Home.

Agnes Rahuba

WATERBURY - Agnes Rahuba, 74, of 687 Willow St. died Easter Sunday at Waterbury Hospital.
Agnes was born in Waterbury April 11, 1935 daughter of the late Roman Conrad and Agnes (Skrinar) Rahuba and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. She retired from Unisys Corporation and worked there for 42 years when it was formerly the Sperry Co. and Wheeler Wire. She was the business manager for the IBEU Union.
Agnes was a member of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin Mary Orthodox Church.
Survivors include one sister: Sophia Rahuba of Waterbury, with whom she made her home and three brothers: John Rahuba of Thomaston, formerly of Naugatuck, Michael Rahuba of Beverly Hills, FL, formerly of Wolcott, and Dennis Rahuba of Waterbury.
Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Nativity of the Holy Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 3125 North Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06704.

James D. Moran, Sr.

CHESHIRE - James D. Moran, Sr., 79, of Cheshire and formerly of Waterbury died Thursday March 25, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Diane (Tata) Moran.
Mr. Moran was born in Waterbury February 14, 1931 son of the late John E. and Mary (Derwin) Moran. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. Moran was a plumber having worked for M.J. Daly & Sons in Waterbury for many years and was a lifetime member of Local 777. He was a communicant of St. Margaret Church for over fifty years and was currently a communicant of St. Bridget Church.
Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his children: Pat Peters of Houston, TX, Jean Moran of Cheshire, and Attorney James D. Moran, Jr. of Cheshire. He is also survived by one sister: Ann Ita Schreier of Watertown, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Moran.
The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday March 30, 2010 at 9:00 AM at St. Margaret Church, 289 Willow St., Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St., Waterbury is in charge of arrangements.
