The family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. in Norwalk on Wednesday, April 13th between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and noon, with a prayer service to be held at 12 noon. A private graveside service will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army online (www.salvationarmyusa.org), per her wishes.
Dorothy P. Vredenburgh passed away on April 8, 2011 in Norwalk Hospital. She was born in Peekskill, New York on October 14, 1926. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Ethel M. (Hard) and Edward G. Richards of Stamford, CT. She is also pre-deceased by her husband, George Vredenburgh, her brother, Donald E. Richards and her grandnephew, Frank Reynolds. She graduated from Stamford High School and worked for many years with Dorr Oliver as a secretary. She and her late husband loved to travel and care for their beautiful gardens at their home, and she was an expert seamstress as well as a world-class knitter.
She is survived by: her sister, Marilyn Reynolds (Norwalk); four nieces – Patricia Tucciarone (Norwalk), Debra Sullivan (Norwalk), Cynthia Ciaccia (Newtown) and Jessica Richards Funk (Bayport, NY); one nephew, Robert Reynolds (Norwalk), as well as seven grandnieces, one grandnephew, one great-grandniece and one great-grandnephew. Her family would like to express their deep appreciation to her loving caregivers over the past few years.
The family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. in Norwalk on Wednesday, April 13th between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and noon, with a prayer service to be held at 12 noon. A private graveside service will follow.

Louise Dominick
Louise Dominick - age: 81
(February 03, 1929 to December 07, 2010 )

Louise Dominick, age 81, a lifetime resident of Norwalk, died on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at her home. Born in Norwalk, the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Cimminello) Palumbo, she was predeceased by her brother Frederick Palumbo. She was a graduate of Norwalk High School. In her younger years, when a member of St. Mary Church, she belonged to Our Lady’s Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary where they crowned the Blessed Mother’s statue with a flowered wreath every Mother’s Day, beginning with a Mass and marching procession. In her later years she was a member of the Columbiettes, Council # 46. Louise worked at the E.H. Hotchkiss Co., as a private secretary to the sales Manager and later as a private secretary to the sales manager of Pepperidge Farm Co.
Louise is survived by her husband of 61 years, John, and children; Debra of Norwalk, Richard and his wife Lorraine of Norwalk, their children, Jennifer and Joseph, John and his wife Maggie of Monroe, their children, Lauren and Christin and Paula Davenport and her husband Robert of New Milford, and daughter Natalya Davenport.
Her family will have calling hours on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11 at 9am at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl. Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.

William "Billy" Irving
William "Billy" A. Irving - age: 49

William A. “Billy” Irving, age 49 and longtime Norwalk resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, at the Village Green in Wallingford. Born in Norwalk on November 12, 1960, he was the son of the late Emerson and Elizabeth Meyer Irving. He was a former sales associate with T.J. Max. Survivors include a brother, Lawrence Irving of Norwalk, a sister Nancy Franke of Naugatuck, 3 sisters in Florida and many nieces and nephews. Billy was also predeceased by his siblings Barbara, Arthur and Emerson. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 22, 12 noon at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Billy’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until services begin.

Catherine A. Fetchet, age 71, of Norwalk, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1939 in Norwalk, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Christine (Petcen) Mattiello. Catherine was a member of The Norwalk Senior Center and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, cooking and spending time with her 4 grandchildren; Rachel Dubay, Erica Schoonejongen, Ryan Schoonejongen, and Haley Milazzo.
In addition to her grandchildren, Catherine is also survived by her 4 daughters, Laura Torcasio and her husband Tony, Paula Dubay and her husband David, Debra Schoonejongen and her husband Gary and Linda Milazzo and her husband Peter, and 2 brothers, Michael and Joseph Mattiello, and several nieces and nephews. Catherine was pre- deceased by her sister, Christine Parks.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 10am to 11am at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at The Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan, Ct.

David Persons, Jr.
David W. Persons, Jr. - age: 42

Loving Father, Brother and Son
David W. Persons, Jr., age 42, of Norwalk, died suddenly on Sunday at the Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk on October 6, 1968, David was the son of Marianne Salvato Jordan of Norwalk and the late David W. Persons, Sr. He spent much of his life as an auto body repairman and was highly respected for his work. He enjoyed working on and building cars, loved playing darts and enjoyed baseball.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his children, Jillian Persons of Bethel, Tia Persons of North Carolina, Taylor Persons and Dylan Persons of Norwalk; his brothers William Persons, Jeremy Jordan and Jamie Jordan of Norwalk, step-sisters Wendy Dotterman of Stratford and Marie Jordan of Wilton, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his step-father Norman C. Jordan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 11:30 AM at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Burial will be private. David’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM.

Clayton Wellington Burrows - age: 50
(July 11, 1960 to October 06, 2010 )

A celebration of Clayton’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., at 10 AM. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 AM until services begin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or STAR, Inc.
Clayton Wellington Burrows, 50 years old, of Norwalk, Connecticut was born on July 11, 1960 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 06, 2010 after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Wilton Garnett Burrows and Agnes Ruth (Tabscott) Burrows.
In addition to his mother, Clayton is survived by one brother, Dennis Burrows, and three sisters Alicia Burrows-Mezu (John), Melissa Burrows, and Lurline Burrows. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and extended family members.
Clayton was born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut and attended Norwalk public schools. He worked at Stew Leonard’s for many years and most recently was employed at Stop and Shop before his illness. Clayton loved bike riding, hockey, and was an avid Mets fan. Clayton participated in various activities through STAR, Inc. and was beloved by many friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the employees of STAR, Inc., Paradigm Healthcare Center, healthcare providers, and a host of friends for their adoration and ongoing support to Clayton during his life and recent illness.
A celebration of Clayton’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., at 10 AM. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 AM until services begin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or STAR, Inc.
