Rasario Sam Gennaro

Rosario "Sam" Gennaro passed away July 4, 2011 in Orange Park, FL at the age of 83. He was born to William and Viola Gennaro on May 22, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. Sam married Emma Troino on April 30, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. They had five children Phyllis, Bill, Joan, Anthony and Robert. He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on April 14, 1962 when he joined Hialeah, Fl Lodge #1074. He was a Fellow. Sam and Emma came to Moosehaven on July 27, 2010 where they resided for almost a year. Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Moosehaven Chapel followed burial in the Moosehaven Cemetery. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. He is survived by his wife Emma Gennaro, a Moosehaven resident of Orange Park, Florida, Phyllis (Don) Baldwin of Duluth, Georgia, Bill (Tina) Gennaro of Inverness, Joan (Steve) Douglas of Scottsmoor, Florida, Anthony (Melissa) Gennaro of Hiram, Georgia and Robert (Terri) Gennaro of Woodstock, Georgia. Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one on the way also survive him. Valarie Beukowski, cousin, Florida and many nieces and nephews. Patricia Maxine Pettis
(November 5, 1932 - February 20, 2012)
Patricia Maxine Pettis passed away on February 20, 2012 in Orange Park, Fl at the age of 79. Pat was born to J.B. and Bertha Dukes on November 5, 1932 in Columbus, GA. She married Mr. Joseph Pettis on February 8, 1954 in Skipperville, Alabama. They had six children Sandra, Linda, Judy, Joe, Naomi and Danny. She was employed as a cashier for the US Military for 20 years and retired at the age of 62. She most enjoyed her years as a homemaker and mother. Pat became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in 1946 when her husband, Joseph joined Warner Robins, GA Lodge 1688 and she joined Chapter 1353 on July 12, 1983. She was very active in the Chapter. She received her Academy of Friendship on February 17, 1991, Past Regent on May 1, 1999 and the College of Regents on May 24, 2003. She became a member of the 25-club on January 12, 1993 having sponsored 9was Senior Regent three times. Pat was a proud member of Warner Robins and said one time, that after her husband, Joe passed away, she doesn't know what she would have done with them. She was also very proud of her family for also joining the Moose. Pat came to Moosehaven on June 1, 2004 where she resided for almost 8 years. Pat enjoyed all the functions here, so I know she had to be a hoot in her earlier years at the Lodge and Chapter functions. There were many times that we would get her on the dance floor in her wheel chair and she had the best time with the one she danced with. She moved around like Funeral Services held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in the Moosehaven Chapel at 1:30 PM followed by burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Warner Robins, Georgia. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. Her husband Joe, daughters, Naomi and Linda, great grandson, Joshua and her brother, Jack Dukes, predeceased her. She is survived by two sons Joe Pettis of Montgomery, Alabama and Dan (Donna) Pettis of Warner Robins, GA and two daughters Sandra Duffell of Byron, GA and Judy (Dale) Barnickel of Byron, GA and 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Crystal Brad Buckhalter

Crystal Brad Buckhalter Jr., 52, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away November 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1960 in Clay County to parents, Crystal and Dorothy Jean (Faircloth) Buckhalter. A celebration of his life will be held at the family residence at noon on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Cremation under the care of BROADUS-RAINES FUNERAL HOME.

Bonnie Spector Campbell
(December 19, 1946 - November 8, 2012)
Bonnie Spector Campbell, 65, died at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL on November 8, 2012, after a 3-year battle with ovarian cancer. This remarkable woman, the daughter of Seymour and Miriam Spector of Irondequoit, NY, left New York and married Jay Campbell in 1965. Their union produced 3 sons, Scott, John and Todd, 2 daughters in law, Beth (Scott) and Karen (Todd) and 3 wonderful grandchildren, Britney, Noah and Morgan. Equally important to her were her sister, Andrea, her brothers Barry and Bill and the patriarch of the family, Sy Spector, who lives in the Brighton, NY area. Most of Bonnie's working life was spent as a Montessori teacher, first in Miami, FL and finally at A Child's Place Montessori School in Jacksonville, FL. Her teaching career spanned 27 years. She loved to work in her garden at home in Green Cove Springs, FL and she enjoyed travelling with Jay. She was interred at Jacksonville National Cemetery on November 16, 2012 in a very moving ceremony. To all those who knew Bonnie, her family sends their love and best wishes.

Paul James Rodgers Sr.

Paul J. Rodgers, 83, of Palatka, FL passed away October 27, 2012 at the Custead Center for Caring in Orange Park, FL. He was born on July 17, 1929 in Haworth, OK to parents Fletcher William and Iva Roberts Rodgers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #115 and the American Legion, both in Palatka and The VFW in Green Cove Springs and Fleet Reserve on Collins Road. Mr. Rodgers was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Evelyn L. Rodgers; children, Paul James Rodgers Jr. (Janet), Michael D. Rodgers (Donna), Donna Rodgers Grohman (Randy), Emmett Rodgers (Dale), Fletcher W. Rodgers, David A. Rodgers (Karen), Martha Ann Turner (Gerald) and T. Mark Rodgers; step-children, Jerry Clouse (Rohda), Gary Clouse (Diane) and Nancy Frazer (Rick); brother, G.W. Rodgers (Barbara); nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Full Military Honors will be conferred. Nancy Jean Bilello

Nancy Jean Bilello, 74, passed away on February 27, 2012 in Green Cove Springs, FL. She was born on January 1, 1938 in Hudson, NY to parents Phillip and Lillian Sweeney O'Brien. Mrs. Bilello was an employee with the Volusia County School Board for 20 years. She was an artist who attended many art functions in her community. She also achieved a degree in anthropology and was a member of the Gold Key Society of the University of Central Florida. Mrs. Bilello was predeceased by her parents and her husband, John Bilello; brother, David O'Brien; sisters Pam and Sandy. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Scott) Black; brother, Brian O'Brien; sisters, Barbara, Candice and Pat and grandchildren, John, Wyatt and Lauren Black. Roberta Christine Smith, 75, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012. She was born on November 13, 1936 in Woodbury, NJ to parents John Leonard and Elizabeth Irvine Cullin. Mrs. Smith moved to the local area last year from Risco, MO. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Jacksonville. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking for her family. Roberta had a wonderful passion for training horses and grooming them for races was one of her greatest loves. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Steven and John Cullin. Mrs. Smith is survived by her life partner Larry and his children and family; son, Jeffrey (Alline) Mohler; daughter, Charliss Smith grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua, Clifford, Darrel, Mary, Rose, Britney and Christopher and several great grandchildren. Joseph Charles Wilhelm, Sr., 70, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. He was born on December 26, 1941 in Trenton, NJ to parents Charles and Marion See Wilhelm. Mr. Wilhelm was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army and had worked as a police officer in Princeton Borough, NJ. He was a member of the PBA and enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. Mr. Wilhelm had lived in the local area since 1994 and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Judy Mae Wilhelm. Survivors include his children, Dana Jo Wilhelm and Joseph Charles Wilhelm, Jr.; sister, Linda Sisz and grandchildren, Olivia and Brody Klingler. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Jess McCrosky officiating. Barbara Lynn Hooper, 52, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away March 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born in San Diego, CA on May 30, 1959 to Norman and Doris Claytor and was a catholic. She is survived by her parents; her daughters, Autumn Hooper Ohnimus (fiancé, James Mauch) and Nicole Hooper Nydick (husband Greg); her son, Raymond Hooper; her brothers, Robert Morton (wife Samantha), Gary Morton, John Claytor (wife Glenda) and William Claytor (wife Brenda); her sisters, Kathy Williams (husband Tom), Deanna Motta (husband Edward), Tina Daniels (husband William), Norma Cavanaugh (husband Rod), Rosemary Claytor and Bonnie Ann Claytor; grandchildren, Madelyn, Nolan and Jaxon.
