Charles "Chuck" Clevenger, 70, of Middleburg, FL, passed away March 27, 2012. He was born on June 19, 1941 in Barnsley, KY to parents Herman and Mae Clevenger. Mr. Clevenger was a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, having retired from the United States Marine Corps. He had worked as a supervisor for Lakes Construction and moved to the Clay County area from Switzerland, FL in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose and the VFW. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Mr. Clevenger was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Patricia Clevenger; sons, Kenneth Clevenger, David Davidson (Patricia), Donald Davidson (Melissa) and Daniel Davidson (Kathy); daughters, Tabatha Parker (PJ), Nita McLendon (Sam) and Donna Householder; siblings, Howard, Helen and Wilma Clevenger and Gladys Cunningham, all of Kentucky; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 2, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Merdella M. Huckleberry

Merdella M. Huckleberry, 61, of Orange Park, FL passed away March 7, 2012. She was born in Jacksonville on April 27, 1950 to Robert and Margaret Champion Reed and had lived in the area her entire life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Huckleberry was predeceased by her brothers, Bobby and Johnny Reed and a great-grandson, Talen. She is survived by her husband, Gene Huckleberry; daughter, Margaret Yates; sister, Jeanie Wright; grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, Eric and Elizabeth Yates; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Emily, Khloe, Trinity, Mason, RJ and Chase. A memorial service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Huckleberry's ashes will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery later that day at 1:30 p.m. Cremation arrangements under the care of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home, 501 Spring St. Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.

Virginia Strafer Morrison, 66, of Jacksonville, FL passed away March 9, 2012. She was born March 18, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Louise Strafer. She was predeceased by her father and is survived by her mother, Louise Strafer; sister, Judy (Dick) Horn, all of Leawood, KS; nephews, Chris (Heather) Horn and their daughter Emily of Alameda, CA and Ryan (Vika) Horn and their daughter Kyra of Overland Park, KS; companion, Martin Montgomery of Jacksonville, FL. Christine D. Gramm, 72 went to be with her Lord on March 3, 2012 surrounded by her friends and Family. Born on 23 December 1939 in Philadelphia PA, Christine moved to Jacksonville FL with her Husband in January, 1996. She was predeceased by her Mother Isabel Beatrice (Doering)Hepp and her father Louis Doering. She is survived by her Husband Robert l. Gramm of Jacksonville, FL Children, Clay and Elizabeth Cary of West Deptford, NJ, William D.Cary of Manuta NJ,Christine D.and Romain Parker of Jacksonville FL,Grandchildren, Jamie C.Cary,William D. Cary and Clay and Mitchell Parker. She enjoyed traveling this beautiful country and camping with the Sun Wheelers RV Club and the many Friends that she made during the 13 years of association. She will be missed by many. We must sincerely thank Jack and Nancy Buining and Lloyd and Phillis Powell for all the time and help that they extended during her illness. He had worked as an automobile mechanic and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father; his wife, Mary Jones; children, Skylar, Nicholas II and Evan; brother, Erik Sean Gibson; grandparents, John and Loretta Harris and Jung Hi Jones and his nephew, Brady Gibson. Paul Nalepa, 86, of Middleburg, FL passed away December 1, 2011. He was born on April 3, 1925 in Marysville, MI to Cyril and Katrina Nalepa. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII and had received several medals including the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. He retired from the St. Clair County Road Commission in St. Clair, MI. Mr. Nalepa was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th Degree Member in The Father Masse Chapter and had been Grand Knight of Bishop Barry Council. Mr. Nalepa was predeceased by his parents and a son, Paul Thomas Nalepa. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie Nalepa; sons, David J. Nalepa of Orange Park, FL, Daniel A. (Amy) Nalepa, Craig (Sherei) Nalepa, both of Middleburg, FL; daughters, Linda (Gary) Smith of Orange Park, FL, Cynthia (Donald) Holzberger of Rockledge, FL, Carol (Terry) Beach and Sandra (David) Maveety both of Orange Park, FL and Brenda (Charles Jr.) Ely of Ada, MI; brother, Cyril Nalepa of Port Huron, MI; sisters, Elizabeth Visga of Smiths Creek, MI and Helen Diesing of Daytona Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Ed Dillard

Ed Dillard, 69, was born May 21st, 1942 to Leonard and Marjorie Dillard and was the second of three children. Bro. D went to meet his Saviour on February 18th, 2012 at 5:02 A.M. at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only son, Mark Edwin Dillard. Survivors include his wife of over fifty years, Johnnie Ruth; his two daughters: Stacy, married to James Thurman; and Jennilyn, married to Matt McMullin. Also missing him dearly are his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Aja Thurman-22, Austin Thurman-13, Alex Thurman-12, Jack McMullin-6 and Luke McMullin-4. Mr. Dillard is also survived by his brother Don Dillard, married to Mildred; and his sister Judy Legate, married to Maurice; all who reside in Springfield, Missouri; many nieces and nephews including Rebecca Hinz, married to Donnis; who resides in Orange Park, Florida and is like a daughter to him. Ed Dillard was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 11 years. He loved his church family so much. The pastor, Dr. Ken Pledger and Sunday School teacher, Bro. Marvin Chaffin were dear friends to him. The Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25th, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1532 Long Bay Road, Middleburg, Florida. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Henning enjoyed fishing, good food and life. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her daughters, Teresa L. Lindsay (Leonard), JoAnn P. Strong (Donald), Jacquelyn D. Carman (Corwin), Amy M. Wilson (Travis) and Teresa L. Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Stallard, 47, of Middleburg, FL passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. She was born on November 10, 1964 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to parents Charles and Dorothy (Glisson) Stallard, Jr. Cindy moved to the local area 3 years ago from Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Middleburg, FL and volunteered her time as a Sunday School Teacher for the 3 to 4 year old class. One of Cynthia's passions was politics. She was known to be an avid Republican who was always up to date with current events. Cindy was a member of the 9-12 Group and Christian Farmers in Ohio. In her spare time she enjoyed painting with acrylics and cooking. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Cynthia is survived by her parents, Charles (Noreen) Stallard, Jr. and Dorothy Braswell (John); brothers, Ed (Peggy) and Barry Stallard; sister, Terri Davis (Ken); nieces and nephews, Jessica, Skyler, Samantha, Tristan and Joline; 6 great nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Laura and Bobby. Susan Daegele Tongol

Susan Daegele Tongol, 54, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. She was born on February 24, 1958 in Clinton, Indiana to parents Donald and Patricia (Weir) Daegele. Susan moved to the local area in 1999 from Pensacola, FL. Mrs. Tongol became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fleming Island in 1999, where she later became a Eucharistic Minister. Her faith touched the lives of many people. Susan volunteered as a board member for the CHILD Cancer Fund, after losing her only daughter to the disease. In 2004, Mrs. Tongol started working as the School Secretary for Thunderbolt Elementary. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, flower arranging and various crafts. Her family will always remember her as a devoted wife, loving daughter and caring mother, who will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Susan is preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Kaitlyn and is survived by both of her parents; her loving husband, of 30 years, whom she met in Oahu, HI, Crisencio "Cris" Tongol; son, Justin; brothers, Douglas (Linda) Daegele, Daniel (Karie) Daegele and Richard Daegele; sisters, Christine (Gary) DeVriend, Teresa (Thomas) Lucas and Julie (Roger) Strecker, Sr. and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He had served his country in the United States Army and had worked at Clay Electric as a tree surgeon and line foreman. He enjoyed gardening and tree work and was a lifelong resident of the area. Dan was a loving husband, father and papa and will be remembered as a kind man. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harley Walls, grandson, Eric Padgett and 3 sisters, Lula, Callie and Illa.
