Clarence Pearson, 73, of Brooksville, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at his home.
He was born in Blackshear, Ga., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Ft. Pierce, Fla. He worked as a cable engineer for Tampa General Cable Corporation for many years, was a roofer/general contractor, a World War II and Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW, American Legion Post and DAV, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Spring Hill and Donald of New Orleans, La.; four daughters, Linda King of Rockport, Texas, Carolyn Tillman of Spring Hill, Sheila A. of Brooksville, and Bonnie S. Jones of Bell, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

John R. 'Jack' Arison, 84, of Spring Hill, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Hemphill-Arison of Spring Hill; a stepdaughter, Susan Marie Hemphill of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Chris Scheuer of Buffalo, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Edward J. DiMarzo, Jr., 77, of Brooksville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at his home.
He was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area two years ago from Homestead, Fla. He was retired from retail sales of office machines, a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge, VFW, all of Homestead, and P-47 Pilots Association, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include a son, Daniel E. of Brooksville; two daughters, Marilyn Fitch of Brooksville and Joanne Lyon of Homestead; a brother, William K. of Homestead; a sister, Madeline Soluri of Homestead; and three grandchildren, Ryan and Robert Fitch, both of Tallahassee, and Robyn Fitch of Brooksville.

David M. Preuss, 40, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Cincinnati and was visiting in the area.
Survivors include his father, William A. of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Judy Aurich and Sandy Fiscus, both of Spring Hill; and a brother, William, Jr. of Brooklyn Center, Minn.

Elizabeth Kraft, 97, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
She was born in York, Pa., and moved to this area 10 years ago from Whiting, N.J. She was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Kraft of Spring Hill, Gordon Kraft of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert Kraft of California; three sisters, Clara Chisholm and Carlin McArthur, both of York, and Vantta Baker of Nevada; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Marie M. Roche, 80, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at her home.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Middle Valley, N.Y. She retired from the United States Trust Co. of New York. She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Spring Hill, and was a seamstress and avid writer and author.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford; two daughters, Maureen Cummings of Ridgewood, N.Y., and Gail Harning of Fairhaven, N.J.; two sisters, Emma Truppner of New York and Anna Ewen of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

John S. McDonald Sr., 74, of Weeki Wachee, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y, and moved to this area 20 years ago from Harvard, Mass. He was a retired fighter pilot/engineer for the U.S. Military MITRE Corp. after 13 years of service, a Vietnam War U.S. Air Force veteran, graduated from West Point, was a member of Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and several civic associations in New York, a board member of Ticonderoga Country Club, and attended St. Thomas Church, Spring Hill, and St. Mary Church, New York.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a son, John S. McDonald Jr. of Tilton, N.H.; three daughters, Michelle McDonald of Unadilla, N.Y., Lorraine McClain of Banbridge, N.Y., and Mary Gill of Clearwater; two brothers, Walter McDonald of Ticonderoga and Larry McDonald of Plattsburg, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

Larry W. Palmer, 52, of Hudson, formerly of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at his home.
He moved to this area 33 years ago from his native Niles, Mich. He was a history teacher, a longtime paper carrier for the St. Petersburg Times, and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his mother, Gloria A. Palmer of Spring Hill; and a sister, Debra Palmer of Jacksonville.

Earl A. Rexroad, 85, of Brooksville, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Tolono, Ill., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Effingham, Ill. He retired from Clifford & Jacob Champaign Drop Forge Plant after 30 years of service. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1676, Brooksville, a life member of VFW Post 8713, and a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; a son, Dick Rexroad of Brooksville; a daughter, Jane Cook of Payne, Ohio; two stepchildren, Fran Cutler and Ken Bell, both of Battle Creek, Mich.; a sister, Cleta Kincaid of Ogden, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a retired telephone operator from Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn, after 35 years of service, and a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Gaspare; a son, Jerry Signorelli of New Port Richey; a daughter, Mary Jo Fay of Brooklyn; a brother, Basil Vico of North Carolina; two sisters, Margie Sudeth of Virginia and Thalia Shore of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Norman A. Dugas, 80, of Timber Pines, Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, and moved to this area 12 years ago from Annapolis, Md. He was an environmental technician in the Defense and Electronics Division for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Baltimore, Md., a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a life member of Elks Lodge 622, Annapolis, and a member of American Legion 0297, Baltimore, Timber Pines Golf and Country Club, Panama Canal Society of Florida and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, Christopher N. Dugas of Pensacola and Wayne J. Dugas of Port Richey; three daughters, Paula D. Thomas of Norfolk, Va., and Virginia and Kathryn D. Sherman, both of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; a brother, Leroy Dugas of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Dorothy Broadbent and Joyce Joubert of Baton Rouge; and four grandchildren.

John G. "Jack" Zwick Jr., 75, of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in New York, N.Y., and moved to this area 11 years ago from Analomink, Pa. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and paratrooper with 82nd Air Borne. He studied real estate at Rutgers University for three years and was the owner of J.G. Zwick Construction Company, Middleton, N.J. before becoming manager of Penn Hills Resort, where he worked for 35 years. He worked for Silverthorn Golf Pro Shop, Brooksville Golf & Country Club and Sherman Hills Country Club. He volunteered for many years as Master of "Explorer," was active in the Honeymoon Association and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth H.; a son, John R. of Havertown, Pa.; a daughter, Marianne Teeple of Flower Mound, Texas; a sister, Barbara Miller of Vincetown, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.

Marilyn R. Hanneman, 68, of Brooksville, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Lafayette, Ind., and moved to this area 14 years ago from Hoffman Estates, Ill. She was a homemaker and a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, where she was involved in church activities.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area 25 years ago from Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. He was owner/operator of Hillside Meat Market, Jamaica, Long Island, N.Y., a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Cloverleaf Veterans Association and a Lutheran by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Gail Owens of St. Petersburg; a sister, Eleanor Gravenhorst of Roanoke Park, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jeannette Paquin, 84, of Spring Hill, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003 at home.
She was born in Pawtucket, R.I., and moved to this area 16 years ago from Lindenhurst, N.Y. She retired from the Lindenhurst Public School System and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

Rev. Robert "Bobby" William Bell, 32, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at Oak Hill Hospital.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio, moved to New Port Richey 31 years ago from Dayton, Ohio, and to this area four years ago. He was the pastor of Bridge of Hope Tabernacle, Spring Hill, and a graduate of Gulf High School Class of 1988, New Port Richey.

She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to this area 22 years ago from Depew, N.Y. She was a homemaker, a member of the Three Seasons Mobile Home Association and Federal Mobile Home Association, and a Methodist by faith.

Judith Marie Maraquin Garrett, 51, of Dade City, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at Lakeland Regional Hospital.

Harold Edward "Ed" Wrightsman, 80, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville.
He was born in Peru, Neb., and moved to this area 15 years ago from Oahu, Hawaii. He was a retired World War II, Korean conflict and Lebanon Crisis U.S. Navy veteran. He was an assistant scout master for the Navy Sea Scouts from 1939-1940, Third Degree Mason, a member of the DeMolay, Loyal Order of the Moose, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, VFW, American Legion and Fleet Reserve. He received the 20-year service award from NASA in 1963, was the manager of the Gilmore Creek Tracking Station for NOAA in the 1970s and was a Protestant by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Curtis and Ted Wrightsman, both of Fairbanks, Alaska; three daughters, Carol Phipps of North Carolina, and Norma Mossa and Leanna Shields, both of Fairbanks; a sister, Alice Ann McIntyre of Auburn, Neb.; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

James L. Barrett, 71, of Brooksville, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003 at Evergreen Woods.
He was born in Mahopac, N.Y., and moved to this area 30 years ago from upstate New York. He was a self-employed asphalt layer for 48 years and was an Episcopalian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; three sons, George and Alan, both of Spring Hill, and James Jr. of Davenport, N.Y.; two daughters, Janice Barrett and Jacqueline Spaccirelli, both of Carmel, N.Y.; his mother, Hazel Lopez of Spring Hill; a sister, three brothers; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Lee Ann Wood of Tampa; a brother, Howard Myers of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
