The Rev. Louis Carr Jr., Tampa
The Rev. Louis Carr Jr., 71, of Tampa and formerly of Bradenton, died Oct. 4, 2002, at home.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave., Tampa. Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3107 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, with the Rev. H. L. Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Tampa.
Born in Georgetown, S.C., the Rev. Carr was a resident of Manatee County from 1989 to 2001. He was the former pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Bradenton. He was a member of Manatee Glens Inc., and served on the Bradenton Housing Authority Board. He was Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine W.; two daughters, Juanita C. Robinson of Philadelphia, and Mary E. Bailey of Tampa; three stepdaughters; a son, Louis III, of Atlanta; four stepsons; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Ethel Conley, Palmetto
Ethel Conley, 79, of Palmetto, died Oct. 7, 2002, in IHS at Riverfront.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Westside Funeral Home, 704 11th St. W., Palmetto. Service will be from 10 to noon at Turners Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 317 11th St. W., Palmetto, with the Rev. Paul B. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
Born in Tallahassee, Mrs. Conley came to Manatee County from there as a child. She was a homemaker. She was Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, James L.; five daughters, Lila Baxter, Vera Koonce, Carol, Sharon and Evelyn Kirksey; four sons, Johnny, Timothy, Harrison and Linwood; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Lorine Crocker, Bradenton
Lorine Crocker, 52, of Bradenton, died Oct. 8, 2002, in Bayfront Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-10 p.m. Friday at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 1703 Tallevast Road. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Ezell Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sarasota. Chandler Funeral Home in Sarasota is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Quincy, Mrs. Crocker came to Manatee County from there more than 40 years ago. She worked for National Linen Service. She was a member of New Horizon Church.
Survivors include her husband, William; a daughter, Katina Byrd of Bradenton; four sons, Brent Ferguson, Rayfield Byrd, David Byrd and Abram Byrd, all of Bradenton; four sisters, Glenda Jackson and Sharon Johnson, both of Bradenton, Sally Jackson of Fort Pierce, and Christine Davis of Atlanta; two brothers, Ernest Jackson of Fort Pierce, and Henry Johnson of Bradenton; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Floyd A. Davis, Bradenton
Floyd A. Davis, 66, of Bradenton, died Oct. 6, 2002, in Blake Medical Center.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel, 912 53rd Ave. W. Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Holt officiating. Burial will be in Fogartyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8305 U.S. 301 N., Parrish, Fla. 34219.
Born in Ellenton, Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He was a retired dragline operator for Manatee County. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; two sons, Jimmy, of Bradenton, and Brian, of Ellenton; a sister, Loutreause Wallace of Terra Ceia; two brothers, John S. and Hoyt Lee, both of Ellenton; and two grandchildren.

Natalie J. Dinoffri, Bradenton
Natalie J. "Blue Blue" Dinoffri, 64, of Bradenton, died Oct. 9, 2002, at home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 5624 26th St. W. Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, 833 Magellan Drive, Sarasota, with the Rev. Joseph Connolly officiating. Brown & Sons Crematory is in charge of cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Bradenton Hospice House, c/o Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Joliet, Ill., Mrs. Dinoffri came to Manatee County from there in 1997. She was a registered nurse and the head of cardiac and intensive care at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Joliet. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, John M.; a sister, Lois Bucciarelli of Joliet; and a brother, Nick Marco of Joliet.

John Joseph Hourihan, Sarasota
John Joseph Hourihan, 85, of Sarasota and formerly of Bradenton, died Oct. 4, 2002.
Memorial service will be Sunday at Ramblewood Club House. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in New York City, Mr. Hourihan was a former resident of Manatee County. He retired from Metropolitan Insurance Company in New York after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church. He was a member of Senior Friendship Center and Pines of Sarasota. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan M. Farkas and Lorraine Veronica Girard, both of Sarasota; a sister, Adele Eastwood of Port Charlotte; and four grandchildren.

Irene Irving, Bradenton
Irene Irving, 96, of Bradenton, died Oct. 4, 2002, in Bradenton Health Care.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Riggins & Daughter Funeral Home, 916 13th St. W. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 106 First St. W., with the Rev. William Armstead officiating. Burial will be in Adams-Fogartyville Cemetery.
Born in Alabama, Mrs. Irving came to Manatee County from Ruskin in the 1940s. She was Baptist.
Survivors include a sister, Omega Kennedy of Fair Haven, N.J.; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Earnest Joyner, Palmetto
Earnest Joyner, 80, of Palmetto, died Oct. 8, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Grace Funeral Home, 2409 Second Ave. E., Palmetto. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rubonia Cemetery, with the Rev. Ben Pate officiating.
Born in Rubonia, Mr. Joyner was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He was a food store merchant. He was Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Nelson of Palmetto, and Lou Perry of Terra Ceia; and two sons, Quinton Perry of Jacksonville, and W D Perry of Auburn, Ala.

Mary C. Nowak, Bradenton
Mary C. Nowak, 81, of Bradenton, died Oct. 8, 2002, at home.
There will be no visitation. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at Saints Peter & Paul The Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th St. W. Shannon Funeral Home, Westview Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fla. 34238.
Born in Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Nowak came to Manatee County from Treasure Island in 2000. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul The Apostles Catholic Church. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include two sons, Bill, of Bradenton, and Paul, of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Helmkamp of Akron, Ohio; a brother, Dr. John James Murphy of Akron; and four grandchildren.

Patricia A. Robison, Bradenton
Patricia A. Robison, 75, of Bradenton, died Oct. 8, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Wis. Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association for ARDS Research, 2201 Cantu Court, Suite 119, Sarasota, Fla. 34232.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Ms. Robison came to Manatee County from Decatur, Ill., in 1982. She was a retired salesperson for Burdines in Bradenton. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Decatur. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Sons of Norway in Sarasota and Junior Welfare in Decatur. She was a volunter at Southwest Florida Museum and the Ringling Museum in Sarasota.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas "Rob" E., of Rockingham, N.C., and David F., of Decatur; a sister, Dorothy J. Aubert of Eugene, Ore.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Makayla Jeanne Waters, Bradenton
Makayla Jeanne Waters, infant, of Bradenton, died Oct. 6, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
There will be no visitation. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Meadowland Worship Center, First Church of God, 8893 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, with the Revs. Rick Watt, Steve Goudy and Cindy Knispel officiating. Burial will be in Palms Memorial Park, Garden of Angels in Sarasota. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her parents, Michael and Katherine, of Bradenton; a sister, Sophia Irene, of Bradenton; maternal grandfather, Michael Martin of Sarasota; maternal great-grandparents, Ed and Jeanne Martin of Bradenton; maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Benshoff of Bradenton; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Eileen Borome of Sarasota; and paternal great-grandparents, Matthew and Irene Zita of Sarasota.

Michael P. Cardin, Sarasota, (Manatee County)
Michael P. Cardin, 50, of Sarasota (Manatee County), died Oct. 6, 2002, in Manatee Memorial Hospital.
There will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manasota Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Bradenton, Mr. Cardin was a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He was a licensed security guard with Allied Security Company at Chris Craft Boats. He was Roman Catholic.
Survivors include his former wife, Dolli, of Litchfield, N.H.; three daughters, Tania, of Manchester, N.H., Melanie, of Merrimack, N.H., and Christine, of Bradenton; two sons, Thomas, of Merrimack, and Raymond, of Hudson, N.H.; a brother, David Grubbs of Sarasota; and a grandchild.
